[YT Edit] Deepwater Horizon (2016)

Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for "Deepwater Horizon". It's currently having copyright issues, so it won't be premiering today. Also, don't worry, we didn't forget about the Sum of All Fears YT edit, that will be up this week as well.

Good reaction. For two years I worked in a remote office in Galveston for an organization called Gulf Coast Claims Facility. This organization was formed by the federal government and BP to compensate Americans affected by the oil spill. I was the Texas IT admin which sounds much bigger than it was. All I did was watch the lights blink in the Galveston office and play video games 60 hours a week. Occasionally I would drive up to Katy to do some small job at the BP Headquarters building. A lot of fishermen, shrimpers mainly and most of those Vietnamese Americans were helped by GCCF. The people helping folks with their claims were claims adjusters from the insurance industry which was smart, because this sort of thing was right up their alley. BP did not enjoy the money outlay but the feds made darned sure they stuck to it. And they paid us well just to be there. I was vastly overqualified for the job but that is how their attorneys wanted it: all positions filled with very senior people so as to avoid the appearance of trying to cheap out.

Just watched this YT edit, I have seen it before, it’s a good movie, with yet another story of greed making the decision. When will we ever learn! Great reaction Cassie. Really enjoyed it. Thank you.

When are we gonna give The Coast Guard a little love? ❤️ The Guardian (Kevin Costner & Ashton Kutcher) ☺️❤️

37:00 An oil rig was built just for this film, this rig is located in Chalmette, Louisiana where filming mostly took place. Director Peter Berg claimed it was one of the largest practical sets ever built; constructed of 3.2 million pounds of steel in a 2,000,000 gallon water tank.

I specifically watched Deep Water Horizon, so I could watch Cassie's reaction. I literally finished it minutes before turning on her reaction. I've never seen Cassie want to cuss so much in one movie, understandably. As always wasn't disappointed in her heart, her tears and our shared anger at what these people went through, all for the mighty💰

Nothing like a feel good movie to start the weekend.

Haven't seen either of these, so looking forward to it. Love a good, true story, even though it's likely sad.

Please consider the uplifting 1983 movie Local Hero. The script, cinematography, acting, directing and soundtrack are all perfect. Very highly recommend

I live within minutes of the gulf south of Mobile, Alabama. The spill affected everything here and in Mississippi. Oil washed up all along the coast and as others said a lot of animals were killed. BP paid billions for cleanup. It was amazing how nature recovered. A lot of people make a living working on oil rigs in the gulf. You can see rigs just from the beach here. Companies of all types try to cut corners because they want to save money. It is a shame, but has always been true.

if you want a film that is very similar to this try Patriot Day. has mark whalberg and the same director of this, deals with the bombings at boston marathon.incredibly tense and emotional

This movie made me have severe panic attacks after watching it. All those birds, animals that we kept finding dead. Kept running through my mind. Thank God , I have a supportive gf and emotional support animals. BP knew they knew. That's why I will never shop BP again. On the bright side I think Cassie now knows what happened and was just as horrified as I was at what happened.

Charlie Wilson’s War is great and prophetic. You’ll understand after watching it.

Please consider Places in the Heart. Sally Field was so amazing in this movie and she won an Oscar for it.
