Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for Sneakers, which will premiere shortly. Hope you enjoy!
Also, Family man will be up soon and The Mummy 2 with Carly will be up tomorrow morning!
Here is the full reaction to this movie.
Agree to Out of Sight. I did suggest it, it was on a poll but got knocked out in the first round. Bit of a gem because of its not as well known to wider audiences.

So the last film I saw with Robert Redford was "All Is Lost." it was pretty awesome, but also kinda challenging. There's literally only one line of dialogue in the whole movie, and it's like an hour and 45 minutes long! Talk about a lot of dead air. But hey, if anyone can handle it, it's you, Cassie! I believe in you!

You should absolutely watch The Thomas Crown Affair next! I think you will love it. It's a great heist movie but also a romance and a very sexy film.
I also think you should watch Out of Sight, with George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez. It's a bit of a heist movie, with prison breaks and also a great romance as well.

Late to the party but has Cassie seen "Spy Game" with Redford and Brad Pitt?

Cassie would like Legal Eagles. A court case, entertaining thriller and some good comedy.
And I believe the underrated "Deadly Pursuit" was titled "Shoot To Kill" for initial release in the United States. Another good pick!

Such a good film. A real underrated classic. Another nice Redford film if you want a nice comedy was Legal Eagles. Also mustn’t forget the legendary Sidney Poitier who plays Crease in this film. You should really look into some of his work as well. In the heat of the night is one of his classics. I was also a fan of a movie called deadly pursuit that he did in the late 80’s

When Sneakers came out a lot of the periodicals of the time Byte, PC, PC World, Nova, Omni did articles about how this movie portrayed hacking as it really is.
A lot of hacking is social engineering. You go through trash you dive dumpsters for discarded technical manuals from big businesses. You research your target, their likes and dislikes. Anyway, this is close to the real thing at the time that anybody had done.
A lot of lame stuff came around this time (Looking at you "Hackers"). You can spot screenwriters that know nothing about computing they say lame things like "I'm into the mainframe" which means they've located the Apple iOS or Windows operating systems when real information and drivers are kept separate on server farms.
Regardless, this is nicely written, put together an edited. Rest in peace, Sidney Poitier, River Phoenix.

I had actually never seen this one before, so I bought it on Vudu just to watch along. Great film and it was fun to have a "double-blind" reaction for the first time!

As a Bay Area native, and a Silicon Valley born-and-bred tech guy...I love this film. It's such a great early 90's view of the area.
To be honest, this is the kind of movie plot that would translate so well to an ensemble television series. Obviously not with this cast, but a new version, set in the modern day. Imagine an ensemble with the chemistry of Firefly, with characters with wildly different backgrounds working together as white-hats... It would be an incredible pick up for any network or streaming service.
If only.

I love how you’re genuine and just let your feelings fly. You mentioned how much you thought Robert Redford was sexy in those jeans, and I dig it. There’s too much shaming in our society of people saying what they admire. People pull out the “creepy” word way too often, and in situations that are not even close to creepy. I tell women they look stunning with no strings attached, and they go all Shakespeare dramatic on me. Only 50% of the time. The other 50, they get weak in the legs and smile. It’s also a testament to how strong your husband is, and that he doesn’t have a hissy fit because he knows he’s your dude. So, good for you, we need more that in our society. Don’t repress women from saying what is easy on their eyes. Especially when it’s tasteful, and Popcorn in Bed always is. End of soapbox rant. One thing I will challenge you on is this concept. If Tom Cruise invites you back to the red carpet, one of you needs to make a bold, tasteful compliment. If you make him blush, I’ll send you something expensive to your PO Box. Let’s go! Love this channel!

Cassie, you questioned why Janek would leave the black box out in the open like he did, instead of being more secure. I highly recommend you read Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Purloined Letter” in answer to your question. Great story that probably originated the idea of “hiding in plain sight.” Unrelated, but something I think you’ll find to be of interest: Dan Ackroyd really is a conspiracy theorist as depicted in the film. He also believes in the paranormal and wrote the screenplay for “Ghostbusters” based on those beliefs.

I totally love this movie when I saw it completely by accident. Your reaction is very close to mail. Just think about the cast alone. Academy award, Robert Redford, Sydney, Poitier, and Sir Ben Kingsley. Not to mention James Earl Jones, River Phoenix who died tragically known before reaching his full potential Thank you so much For letting me view this through your eyes as the first. Love your channel and I adore you and Carly, please keep up the wonderful reactions.

You talk about Christmas movies, but have you ever seen Santa Claus The Movie. It has Dudley Moore and The Big Lebowski actor,( not Jeff Bridges, but the other Lebowski). It was made in 1986 I think. I do not remember too much about it, but I remember I liked it at the time. I was 14 when it was released. I do not k ow how old your children are, but if they still believe in Santa, it might be one you can watch with them while they are still young. These are the times that Christmas is the best, when children are still innocent and believe in Santa. It is sad how we sometimes become cynical about the season in our older years.
Edit. Oh and it also has Burgess Meredith in it in a small role.

ask nearly anyone in cybersecurity, they’ll usually cite this as one of the staple movies for the industry. It’s basically the user’s manual for social engineering.
