I just recommended the movie they did together District B-13. I think that one has even better Parkour/Fight scenes than Dragon. But again, the story is weak and doesn't really matter.

Steve kephart

If you guys like the "squirrel" guy and want to see more, he is in a movie called District B13 with another guy who does the same stuff.

Steve kephart

John McClane is the energizer bunny, that's how he keeps going no matter what, in fact doesn't he say that in one of the movies? And it would be awesome if you reacted to Red and Red 2 with Bruce Willis, they are action packed and lots of fun, and also star Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker and in the first movie Karl Urban, oh and a little Ernest Borgnine as a cherry on top of an already great cast.

Richard Higgs

May I suggest, as a future Bruce Willis film, "Bandits" from 2001. It's a heists film, really unusual, allergies, phobias, and Cate Blanchett demonstrating how to cook for an insensitive husband. Maybe everyone dies - maybe not.

Bert Towle

Hans Gibbler??? Hahaha

JPDotCom23

Cassie & Carly, another film with Maggie Q (the evil kickass girlfriend who died in the elevator shaft) which you both know and love is Mission Impossible 3, where she played the female team member on Ethan’s team (and sadly hasn’t reappeared yet in the franchise).

Ian Forbes

The fifth one sucks.

Stick Figure Studios

Nobody likes the fifth one

Stick Figure Studios

Enough people are telling her to avoid it that I suspect she will.

Stick Figure Studios

Yeah it also sucks hahaha

djKENTO

That's not the only reason DIE HARD 5 is a tough watch

Stick Figure Studios

DIE HARD 5 is worse. Easily.

Stick Figure Studios

While I was one of those who wasn't clamoring for a fourth DIE HARD as I thought the third one ended the trilogy perfectly, this turned out to be a surprisingly good sequel. The action was a bit more outrageous and unbelievable than usual (that truck/jet climax would have taken out the Terminator), but the premise is fun, the script is smart, the cast is great and Willis is in top form as always (though I didn't like what they ultimately did to the relationship between him and his wife). This is a good note to end this series on. I will echo every other commenter on this thread in telling you to avoid the fifth one as it is truly awful and will just leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Stick Figure Studios

Looking forward to next one!

Cojuancidence

Hahaha, good stuff Cassie and Carly. I have come to love this one, I wasn't a huge fan when I saw it in the cinemas. Although I knew that Timothy Olyphant and Kevin Smith are in this movie, it wasn't until Kevin was on-screen that I realised they were in "Catch and Release" together. I have never seen it, but it is one of my sister's favourites, she has had a thing for Olyphant for a long time (I just enjoy his acting). Watching these reactions, my brain starts trying figure where is the actor going to be recognised from? I starting thinking I wouldn't be surprise if "Catch and release" got mentioned and then almost on cue Carly starts joining the dots... it made me laugh out loud, of course you guys are all over "Catch and Release"! Brilliant.

Mojo One Thousand

Fun fact for this movie though: It’s original working title was “Tears of the Sun” but Bruce Willis made a deal with the studio to use that title for another movie. Tears of the Sun (2003) would make a good reaction too. Bruce Willis plays a Navy Seal team leader who is tasked with rescuing a doctor from Nigeria amid a take over of the government by a rebel dictator. Things get complicated when she doesn’t want to leave her patients. It’s a very good movie but a pretty heavy watch. It’s also directed by Antoine Fuqua, who directed The Equalizer.

Gilbert Gonzalez

I loved this one, it has that mix of good action and substance. The 5th one, “A Good Day to Die Hard” really was disappointing, it felt like it was literally made as a cash grab, not much substance too it, but the action was good. John McClane didn’t even feel like John McClane either, he didn’t have that same witty wise cracking attitude that he does or have any good lines, which bummed me out.. It was also made by a director who made another movie that is notorious for being really bad, which was Max Payne, starring Mark Wahlberg, based on a video game of the same name.

Gilbert Gonzalez

These watchalongs make everything better, but I don’t think even PiB can save the fifth movie.

Alex Ch

I think his acting in this one is so-so. I remember being really bugged about it when I first saw this one.

Philip Alan

Theatrical.

Brian Lowery

A Good Day to Die Hard (2013)

Bert Towle

Really happy that they both liked it so much 🙂 ... I'm even kind of looking forward to the reaction to the next one, even though it's an /awful/ movie.

Planner

I just rewatched the entire viewaskewniverse with Mary Cherry reacting and Kaielle is going through them all right now. Even Chasing Amy ages poorly. It was pretty based for it’s time, but Banksy as a character is pretty irredeemably awful in 2023.

djKENTO

That too!!

Philip Alan

Hans “Kimmy” Gibbler

Cole Jennett

Agreed. I’m a Kevin Smith fan, and I wouldn’t push them on her. Even though Chasing Amy is a great movie!

Cole Jennett

Great reaction ladies! That was a lot of fun! Having Justin Long co star was a great addition. Timothy Olyphant, Maggie Q, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead were also excellent. You’re probably gonna get a lot of calls to skip part 5. I’ve only seen it once. But I remember being disappointed. Although, watching with you and Carly may make the movie a lot better. IDK, your call Cassie

Robert da Spruce

Is the the theatrical cut, or the unrated cut?

Seth R

It's been to long since I've seen this movie. Good movie. Good reactions Ladies.

Rick Williams

Timothy Olyphant is easily one of my favorite actors. From The Girl Next Door, to Deadwood, to Justified. One movie of his I think both you ladies would love is A Perfect Getaway. It’s got Tim, Steve Zahn, Milla Jovovich, and Chris Hemsworth. It’s a great mystery thriller.

Brian Lowery

I really appreciate Carly over here justifying why Holly ultimately left John- why do you have to egg everyone on, John - while Cassie is defending John like, yeah he gets stuff done though and then Carly is like, yeah but he makes it harder on himself - he’s so frustrating - and hence Carly has become Holly McClane.

Jason Dolan

Kevin Smith or Freddie he directed Chasing Amy, Mallrats and Clerks. Justin Long is married to Kate Bosworth who is about to play Sharon Tate in her biopic: "Tate". Len Wiseman who directed this used to be married to Kate Beckinsale. Seriously Cassie and Carly great reaction. Great reaction. This is exactly what I needed today. This was a lot of fun. Thank you both, you are both awesome. Godspeed. There is a Die Hard 5

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

This is a the great reactions from our two ladies. Lots of real not jump scares but surprises along the way and it was a lot of fun to rewatch this with the ladies. I'll also join the chorus of other people saying skip the fifth one.

Canadianant

It's kind of a sad story about the falling out between Bruce and Kevin as I know Kevin Smith was a huge Bruce Willis fan all in his youth and even had good interactions with him on this movie. That being said I know in recent years when it came to light that Bruce was sick Kevin spoke that on at least on his side of things he was going to put the grudge behind him and actually kind of apologized for talking shit about Bruce based on now knowing that he was sick What is hilarious to me is that both Carly and Cassie only seem to know who Kevin was based on being in catch and release which Kevin did just prior to this. It seems funny to know him from that and not as the director or as silent Bob. Although the viewaskewniverse movies would be completely outside there normal watching previous to the channel. I can't imagine they would get past some of the more vulgar humor.

Canadianant

Also thought this one was a fun film the chemistry between him and Justin Long is awesome. I also echo the others in saying the 5th movie just didn’t work for me and also as a few others have said both Red movies are excellent. Also The whole Nine Yards is another fun action comedy film with Bruce in it also stars Matthew Perry. The Warlock played by Kevin Smith is actually one of my favourite directors, but not sure if the comedy in some of his films would be to your liking. But I’d highly recommend Jersey Girl even if you don’t watch it on the channel I really think you’d like it.

Dean Holt

DH had to take an iconic Klingon saying and bastardize it lol. They did not have much Qapla'...

MertzRocks

DHWAV is still my fave sequel. There are too many "That could never ------- happen" moments in this one and 5. But I do like the storyline for this one a lot, and of course the performances by the actors.

MertzRocks

lol right?

MertzRocks

"How many lessons?" ~ Carly "He gets crap done, Car!" ~ Cassie "He's on the F35!!!" ~ Carly "That's what makes you THAT guy." ~ John McClain Now, THAT'S a Yippe-Ky-Yea reaction!

Terry Yelmene

"Tears of the Sun" was thought to be a Die Hard movie, Die hard #4.

Bill Maurer

Yup - was just going to post that. He was one the "Twins".

Bill Maurer

there is a Die Hard 5. it's called "A Good day to Die Hard" has to do with John McClane and his son.

Jimmy Reyes

This is definitely one of my guilty pleasure movies. I know don’t it doesn’t compare to the three before but I still enjoy it. And you can hard pass on the fifth. They completely jumped the shark.

Blake Evans

Fun fact! Die Hard 1 was meant as a detective movie, but it was later changed to a more action packed and it turned into Die Hard. Die Hard 2 was not meant to be a Die Hard movie, but a new movie. But there were some rewrites and John McClane was put into it, thus it became Die Hard 2. Die Hard 3 was not meant to be a Die Hard movie either. It was supposed to be a action movie called "Simon Says" but after some rewrites, you guessed it.. They put John McClane into it. And Die Hard 4 was also not meant to be a Die Hard movie, but a cyber action thriller. Die Hard 5 is the ONLY Die Hard movie so far, that was always meant to be a Die Hard, and the movie bombed. It was forgettable with a boring script, boring story and boring performances. Bruce Willis was his usual self though, so the movie is only watchable due to him. I do hope Red and Red 2 will be on the channel someday! Those 2 movies are a great followup to the Die Hard franchise. They are a lot of fun with fantastic humor and very lovable characters.

Avastrasza

Red and Red 2 are a lot of fun. He basically plays the same kind of person, but the humor is a lot of fun. I did like Cop Out, it had some humor, even if it was a nightmare behind the scenes.

Avastrasza

Not sure which is worst... Die Hard 5 or Indiana Jones 5.. I think Indiana Jones 5 was worse.

Avastrasza

I can't wait to watch this movie reaction! Despite what people say about this movie, it's still a fun popcorn action flick! Unfortunately the most recent one A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD (Die Hard 5) meh, wasn't as good as I was hoping! This one is really fun though, I love watching it! I'll give it a watch later tonight after I hang with my friends! Have a great day Cassie, love and support always, God bless you Carly and your family🥰🤗😁😉😇🙏👍🌹

Wesley White

A great Justin Long movie is Jeepers Creepers (not one for Carly though, lol)

Odd Thomas

Die Hard 3 With A Vengeance is my favorite Die Hard sequel. But this one is next. I like 2, but it's in 4th place. Then A Good Day To Die Hard (Die Hard 5), but to be honest, I only saw it once so I'd be happy to re-watch it if you did a reaction.

Walter

I need to rewatch it. I remember it being a bad movie with great fights.

djKENTO

yeah, Cassie...don't google "poppers"...

Walter

+1 on Red. Really fun movie with a great cast.

Walter

Haha, yeah, but "poppers" is US slang....it's just part of a very specific subculture....

Jimmie V

I enjoy this one too - I like all the Die Hards, actually. 5 is the least of them, but still better than your average action flick. The completest in me thinks you should watch it, but I won't think twice if you don't.

Walter

LOL, it must be a nightmare having fans on multiple continents. So many different slang terms that are completely innocuous in the US.

Uncle Phoenix

Cyril was awesome fighting Jet Li in “Kiss of the Dragon”.

Uncle Phoenix

Kevin Smith said that he really got along with BW on this movie; but he did say that BW was a nightmare for the director and the studio, on this movie. (Which should have been a clue for KS not to direct anything that was starring BW.)

Uncle Phoenix

Justified was a great show. The sequel is slow and labored.

Uncle Phoenix

You probably don't want to call your fans "poppers" as it is also the name of a recreational drug used for some notorious things (I'll keep it PG and let you google it).

Jimmie V

Cool. Going to watch (re-watch?? idk...) your DHWaV reaction first, and then this. An afternoon full of Cassie and Carly! Yay!

MertzRocks

It's official. Die Hard is a Christmas movie. The original Die Hard is being re-released into movie theaters starting December 8th for the Christmas season. In celebration of this landmark decision I encourage everyone to go see it while it is in theaters.

Rick Williams

Red and Red 2 are both great with fun casts.

Mike LL

Ah, another festive holiday season spent with the McLane family. Even if it was not exactly the same holiday. Timothy Olyphant was a great villain in this and Maggie Q a fine henchwoman. There is no Die Hard 5. It doesn't exist. But if you do want to watch a fifth film in a franchise, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny comes to Disney+ tomorrow. So there is that.

Mike LL

There was a time when the Die Hard franchise was on par with the Lethal Weapon franchise IMO: Four gloriously entertaining entries making iconic quadrilogies. Die Hard 5 aka A Good Day To Die Hard was incredibly underwhelming. I support the decision to skip that one entirely. Spare your eyes and minds from being tainted. Consider transitioning to RED and RED 2 from here. That's more of the Bruce Willis we all know and love. 👍😁👍

Zane From Canada

Just a heads up, the quality is still just 360p on YT...

Odd Thomas

Great reaction to a very fun movie. Comes in a close second in my rating of Die Hard movies. As others have stated, I pretend this is the last one. I do however recommend you watch "Red" with Bruce Willis. Another fun action film.

FischerMax98

Great reaction! Despite the PG-13 rating and the more over the top nonrealistic stunts in this movie, I think it’s a lot of fun! I can’t say the same about the fifth one. I have to concur with a lot of other people and say that the fifth one is very much worth skipping. In fact, it’s one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen.

Cody Nelson

The French man who does all the crazy stunts is Cyril Raffaelli who is one of the originators of Parkour along with his best friend David Belle who is the creator of the sport.

djKENTO

Die Hard 5 is a tough watch when you know Bruce started to feel his sickness shortly after this movie. He did a buddy cop movie directed by Kevin Smith, who plays Warlock in this. Bruce didn’t get long with Kevin at all and it was likely where he started to feel his sickness. He started ripping pages out of scripts, taking jobs with less and less lines. It also starts to be very obvious that he’s just not into any of the movies he’s made over the past yen years or so. The spy films Red & Red 2 as well as a film called Looper are the last films where Bruce feels like he’s fully there.

djKENTO

Enjoyed this one, thanks. Part 5 ain't that bad IMO

AdrianF

I was wondering how it aged. I haven’t seen it in years so I’m looking forward to rewatching it now

Wes

copying other comments...........ill pay you cold hard cash to skip part 5 , I wish my eyes and mind could go back in time and stop myself from watching it............

christopher b swanson

There is no 5. Trust us on this.

Odd Thomas

Yippee-ki-yay! I recall when I first heard they were making a fourth Die Hard I was very skeptical (it came out twelve years after Vengeance) and then when I learned it got a PG-13 rating I was livid! I thought there was no way they’d pull it off, that they would ruin the series, but I ended up going to see it and was very impressed with the results; glad y’all decided to give it a watch and figured you’d enjoy it, but spare yourself the trouble and don’t bother with the fifth one…just my opinion, but think most people would like to pretend that one never happened

JL_83

This is my second favorite one of the franchise. I’m Glad you ended up watching it. There is No need to watch 5.

Alex Gorell

I loved this movie. The next Die Hard though not so much.

Shawn Kildal

Timothy Olyphant is best known for the HBO western series Deadwood. He portrayed Sherriff Seth Bullock. Much like Firefly, the series ended abruptly and years later a Deadwood movie was made to give this great show the ending it deserved. His other big hit show was the FX series Justified which lasted 6 seasons. Justified was actually revived recently with Justified: City Primeval.

Shawn Kildal

Great reaction! I couldn't wait, I had to watch this before I went to bed. I always liked this one more than 2 or 3. There is a number 5. I saw it once and was kind of disappointed with it, but I'd watch it again with the two of you.

Kevin Townsend

Kevin Smith as the hacker? 'Warlock'? ...

Jens Kristensen

For anyone wondering, this is the PG-13 version, not the unrated.

Future Boy

Team Hans KIBBLER!!!

Philip Alan

Underrated action movie that has aged well
