CREATURE FEATURE FINAL POLL!

Here are our FINAL FOUR from the Creature Feature Polls. I'm a little worried about this now after reading your comments haha but here we go.....

Ps-I'm already watching The Thing...DUN DUN DUUUUNNNN

Comments

Thanks.

Robbie

Take it easy friend, good health to you.

Richard Maurer

Lol!!! I wish

Robbie

Sounds like laziness to me. But if you're serious..... still sounds a little lazy, tbh ;-)

Richard Maurer

Same, although I might tick some people off along the way.

Richard Maurer

I’m sorry. I’m a transplant patient and sometimes I get sick and lose all my energy so I don’t pay attention

Robbie

Yeah it’s a bit annoying. But as the voice of the voiceless, I gotta continue to fight the good fight.

Shehab Dawoud

I'm shocked at the number of people here who don't seem to understand the concept of a horror movie. They're literally made to disturb and scare people. If the movie you're watching doesn't do that than you're probably not watching a real horror film.

Richard Maurer

Yes, poor Cassie's family would have been visiting her in the psych ward if she watched The Mist. Because movies can do that......that's a real thing...... a cousin of mine had to be hauled away in a straight jacket after watching Hereditary - true story! /s

Richard Maurer

Well big help you were, lol.

Richard Maurer

Where were you when we needed you, lol.

Richard Maurer

I missed the vote but I would absolutely have voted for The Fly

Robbie

Does this mean she will have to watch both arachnophobia and the fly? RESULT!

James Moy

I missed the vote... I would have voted for The Fly darn darn darn!!!

Bryan Lee Brumbeloe

I agree; The Mist would’ve been too much. Very tough movie to get through.

Dave B.

I think that Cassie would like Scream

Carswell

Fucking eh

Stan the Man

The Mist would have broken you, Cassie. Wow. Thank goodness it didn't win. The Fly and Arachnophobia tie. guess we will enjoy both of these movies with you. Awesome October is here!

Jimmy Reyes

I just missed getting to vote for Arachnophobia, but frankly I'm just glad Cassie isn't watching The Mist. I respect that film tremendously, but it is just brutal.

David Conroy

That's not the movie people voted for.

Richard Maurer

THE FLY is a good movie, so sven though I voted for ARACHNAPHOBIA, I'd be fine with her watching the runner-up... even though it's certain she's not going to enjoy it.

Stick Figure Studios

I'm sure there were, but they made their choice. :-)

Stick Figure Studios

I love ARACHNAPHOBIA. Always have. I think she will enjoy it too.

Stick Figure Studios

I voted for Arachnophobia, but I can’t help but wonder if there were at least 2 out of the 194 votes for The Mist that would have rather had The Fly over Arachnophobia.

Larry Darrell

And… David Hedison, who played Felix Leiter in Live and Let Die and Licence to Kill.

Larry Darrell

Agreed. Folks are totally underestimating what Arachnophobia is going to do.

Larry Darrell

I believe if there actually were the giant slug things from Tremors in real life, they would have been a lot more scared of it. Spiders are real! Anyone who thinks Arachnophobia isn’t going to scare the bejeezus out of her is fooling themselves, imo.

Cole Jennett

I wasn't a big fan of Arachnophobia myself, although I think she'll really like it, and I'll watch it again because it's been since it first came out that I've seen it and I've learned that older me appreciates movies that younger me didn't. But that's one of the things I love the most about her system. Very rare that we only get the technical winner when it's a photo finish. I find it especially endearing that she almost always gives us the twofer.

David Collins

I don't get off on it either, but it is absolutely entertaining to watch people be uncomfortable, especially with movies. Whether it's Cassie, Samantha from TBR Schmitt, the Mrs. from You, Me, And The Movies, or even my own sister, whom I love showing horror movies, it's fun. I'm sure she did some research or asked people about The Fly. Some people here probably also warned her about it before the poll, yet she put it on anyway. So she must be good with it. Let's not make a mountain out of every molehill

Shehab Dawoud

Hi Cassie, please watch the runner up film, The Fly (1986) as well as Arachnophobia (1990). It only lost by one vote!

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

I think most would agree that The Fly is technically a better movie than Arachnophobia - they're hardly in the same genre... but I don't get off on watching Cassie having to just endure something we all know she finds distasteful. I think that Requiem for a Dream, Irreversible, Martyrs and Grave of the Fireflies are all brilliant pieces of film-making, but I have no desire to force Cassie to watch any of them.

Story Archer

Godzilla definitely belongs in another poll. I'd like them to see the entire franchise, though there are plenty of things I'd vote for ahead of it.

Story Archer

SO glad I voted. Who says one man can't make a difference?

Story Archer

We all know that she (and Carli) really enjoyed Tremors, which has a lot in common tonally with Arachnophobia. We all know that she/they will absolutely hate the Fly (even if they put a sweet face on it). I don't think it should have been this close.

Story Archer

"ARACHNAPHOBIA" WON BY 1 POINT???

Stick Figure Studios

spiders and flies. It fits, like it was meant to be.

JC762

The Fly is gross. Watch it!

Philip Alan

A draw is always something although I don’t rate Arachnophobia that high. Hopefully it’s a lock now that both get watched and that some people’s hyperbole regarding The Fly hasn’t put the hostess off from watching it.

Shehab Dawoud

@Brian Sure... grotesque is fair enough. To me they're synonyms, but I understand what you're getting at.

Art of Free Speech

Final results: %31.7 : 379 - Arachnophobia (1990) %31.7 : 378 - The Fly (1986) %20.4 : 243 - Godzilla (2014) %16.2 : 194 - The Mist (2007)

Gábor Árki

First time I ever hear about that! I gotta check that out now as I’m the biggest Barkley fan out there, and consider myself the Charles Barkley of this community.

Shehab Dawoud

I, for one, do not wish to see the comedy that is Arachnophobia, at least not at this time.

Mikey Mike

Truth

JC762

You expect misery, I imagine shock and awe, maybe some confusion. I suppose we'll see when the time comes.

mikethemotormouth

Maybe Cassie can watch the 1958 version of the Fly with Vincent Price.

John Liebling

Not at all a joke. Since starting watching her reactions during the pandemic (prob late 2020ish), her scope of appreciation has widened, but it's pretty clear what she likes: a story that moves at a good pace, strong character development and at least one character who has a strong moral core that she can relate to, romance if at all possible, a bit to a lot of suspense, a few smiles along the way and a certain kind of ending. Everything I listed has those components and she hasn't seen them as far as I could tell (though those were certainly off the top of my head). I'm sure we could all think of several more.

Above Average Dave

I don't really find entertainment from people being miserable though.

Mario

This comments section is literally about gatekeeping.

Richard Maurer

Oh, and you talking about people disparaging other peoples motives is rich. Go look in a mirror buddy. How many times have you claimed people who vote for movies you think are too much for Cassie just want to hurt her?

Richard Maurer

Now, you're trying to take away my last bit of fun. You won't be rid of me that easily. Somebody has to try and defend this channel from the forces of mediocrity. And I do already watch/patronize those other channels, I just want something better for this one.

Richard Maurer

Imagine gatekeeping

warcrimes

Yeah, things got off course here.

Larry Darrell

Such a great movie. The alternate ending is so awesome. I can’t believe they didn’t go with that

Stan the Man

It blows my mind that some people sont think about the entertainment factor in watching their reactions. I prefer The Fly to The Mist but you best believe I voted for The Mist. Why? Because her reaction would provide soooooo much entertainment. I imagine it in my head and I wonder how close I am to what it would be really be like.

Stan the Man

That scene is literally what made the movie for me. The fact that it angers so many people is just the icing on the cake.

Richard Maurer

Fortunately it doesn't look like anyone will be able to stop The Thing from from happening, although many have tried. But as far as everyone being so certain she won't like The Thing I only need to write one movie title - 300.

Richard Maurer

It probably means she watches just Arachnophobia as people here have done such a good job of fooling her into thinking The Fly is too much for her.

Richard Maurer

At this point I wish she'd quit Halloween altogether. We get one good serious horror film (The Thing) and to even get that we have to deal with hordes of white knights desperately trying to stop it from happening. Halloween on this channel is actually getting weaker every year not better and the blame for that lies straight at the feat of all of Cassie's "protectors". It really wouldn't bother me that much, there's a number of channels that do actual good horror movies, instead of things like The Mummy, Arachnophobia, or Scream.

Richard Maurer

This is a joke, right? What you should call the poll is "movies you want me to like". That's what everyone is really doing here already.

Richard Maurer

@ Larry Darrell - Arachnophobia of course, the only crap movie in the poll. I was replying to the op

Richard Maurer

Just so you know, the people who get called creepy are in the habit of calling anyone who votes for anything more violent than Rocky sadists who enjoy hurting Cassie. It's really amusing to see their hypocrisy, whining about being called creepy.

Richard Maurer

This is a great idea. I personally think that she would enjoy a British category including such titles as the above mentioned Shakespeare in Love, and then Brassed Off, The Full Monty, etc

Nigel Mason

Little Shop of Horrors. Comedy horror classic about a talking plant that grows up to acquire an insatiable taste for human blood.

Paul Rich

Nor should they. It clearly wasn't meant to leave you smiling. Which I really appreciated. Not all movies need to have an HEA or a neat and tidy resolution.

mikethemotormouth

Oh well. if you don't know, you don't know.

Larry Darrell

Good. It's not one I think Cassie or Carly would feel good about after it's done.

Miles E Coburn

Ah, got it.

Stick Figure Studios

I mean I don't care, post what you want, but you're mixing things up and making connections between movies which don't exist

Patrick Flanagan

Well, it could be seen as a not so subtle suggestion to 11 patrons to change their vote(s).

ArsTropica

As a Star Wars/Lord of the Rings fan I accept your true comment.

FranciscoGios

The poll is evolving to give The Mist (2007) as a relatively distant last place.

Clay F

Agree

Clay F

Hey Cassie. No matter how the poll turns out, it's best to watch both films. The fly and arachnophobia. Both films are definitely worth watching.

Daniel Fuchs

It took me a year and a half to get her to watch Robocop. I can give her another year to see Godzilla!

Todzilla

Godzilla should be in a separate monster poll with Kong, Cloverfield, etc.

ArsTropica

I think they would be better off watching the Godzilla vs Charles Barkley ad from Nike (it's on youtube).

2-Can

The Fly and The Thing are great movies but Cassie will HATE them, lol, so I've gone for Arachnophobia

Odd Thomas

Poor Todzilla. So close and yet so far. I feel you, my friend.

Stick Figure Studios

As a Cassie fan that would NEVER block another fan from getting their movie watched by her (because i don't want them to block me), i guarantee her hate of Mist 😄😄😄. I guratee her horror of the Fly. I don't even remember Arachnophobia (i get it confused with 8 legged freaks). And knowing how Cassie feels about my movies, shell probably think Godzilla is corny.

Todzilla

So of the Fly and Arachnophobia tie? Does that mean Cassie watches both AND the runner up?! GODZILLA!!!

Todzilla

As a guy named Todzilla, knowing Cassie's schedule, I'm happy if she does 2014, because the films after that are pretty cool too. The 90s Godzilla film was cool, but the more recent ones are more true to the OG Godzilla. Of course it would be awesome if she started with 1954, but again, she might be bored or turned off from the 54 version. I recommend to Cassie to do a double feature: watch 1954 and 2014 back to back.

Todzilla

Personally, I just think it would be wrong to skip The Fly if it finishes 2nd by 1%. Regardless of if it's disgusting or not. She may very well have done some research and found out about that before putting it on the poll to begin with.

Shehab Dawoud

I don’t think it would be weird, because I’m sure she got the impression that Tucker & Dale would be kind of fun. A good chunk of the comments in here are talking about The Fly being disgusting. I just think that it’s more likely she will skip 2nd place in this poll if Arachnophobia does finish 1st, then she normally would.

Cole Jennett

Of course it’s her call but it shouldn’t be hard to see how weird it would look if Tucker & Dale got a watch, while finishing further behind as a runner up, compared to The Fly..

Shehab Dawoud

There better be? She very well may, but it’s her call to make.

Cole Jennett

She often has in the past, but I’m not convinced she’d really want to watch two of these.

Cole Jennett

id literally pay extra for the mist reaction...............i cant say why, those who know know

christopher b swanson

Will Cassie also watch the runner up of the poll or just the winning film only?

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

And once again, my friend, we find ourselves in disagreement. This is becoming a habit. We need to start looking for common ground you and I. ;-)

Stick Figure Studios

Well, I don't know about "hint." I didn't think I was being at all subtle. :-)

Stick Figure Studios

I vote for the fly even though I think it's absolutely disgusting and revolting. It's still the best movie on here. Godzilla was the best Godzilla movie since the 50's. The Mist is good I liked it but it seemed to be a Walking Dead prequel. Arachnophobia was only scary if you are scared of spiders. Which if you look at them as getting rid of mosquitoes. Then there not so bad. Maybe they are thinking about the mundane version of the fly on The Simpsons

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

There better be, since she’s watching Tucker & Dale which finished much further behind Zombieland. If not, something is really wrong😭

Shehab Dawoud

Hint, hint... ;-)

ArsTropica

Cassie has reacted magnificently to things I could never watch (again). I'd rather rewatch the Fly than either 12 Years a Slave or Schindler's List.

ArsTropica

"Arachnophobia" is one of those movies that will stay with you for a while, haunt you even. Days after watching it you'll find yourself cleaning house and you'll swear you see something out of the corner of your eye. If you already don't like spiders then avoid that movie. On this list you'd probably enjoy Godzilla the most but the Fly is a superior film. Also, the stars of the Fly were a real couple during the shoot.

Javier Hernandez

I love this idea!

TigerDelta

Which one?

Larry Darrell

Stick Figure Studios

@ Todzilla - Amen brother.

Richard Maurer

Eight-Legged Freaks is way better.

Richard Maurer

As much as I dislike spiders, I’m so hoping for Arachnophobia as we’ll see a new record for jump scares🫣🕷️🤭🤣

Philip Herman

Not funny, not scary.

Richard Maurer

Hyperbole.

Richard Maurer

Arachnophobia is a fun movie. Carly maybe able to handle it. It is hard to tell. She is so sensitive. And some people can't handle spiders.

Rick Williams

The Fly was "that movie" for me. It's not just a critter flick, it's an artistic reminder of our shared existential vulnerability as homo sapiens, the dominant species of our fair planet. I didn't "enjoy" it when I saw it, and I know that I wasn't meant to. But I recognize its genius.

ArsTropica

It almost certainly will be.

Stick Figure Studios

I like EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS, but I think ARACHNAPHOBIA is better.

Stick Figure Studios

I second that motion. Give the ladies a break and let them swoon for a while. Although, assuming their age, they probably saw most enjoyable movies out there. But never underestimate the audience for suggesting something surprising and new

Shanwyn Nightfox

100% agree

Jen Barnes

This is a question that always gets brought up. The whole birth of Cassie's channel was she started watching movies she's NEVER watched before. She openly admitted she only watched romantic comedies and Disney films. I personally think suggesting romcoms and love stories to Cassie defeats the purpose. We know she usually will love them and be all happy about it. What makes Cassie's channel fun and exciting is not knowing how she will react to different "types" of movies. Even if the "know it all Cassie fans" say "she will hate this!", Her reactions are so unique, it's still a win. Cassie has been doing this for years now and she's a big girl and can handle anything. She's not in therapy or anything after watching these films.

Todzilla

I wonder if Cassie would be up for a poll of "Movies You Think I Will Like" since we've all gotten a pretty good sense of that. This would include choices like "Moonstruck," "Get Shorty," "Out of Sight," "Tin Cup" "Doc Hollywood" "Shakespeare in Love" and like that. I could be wrong, but it seems like lately (Creature Feature aside since it contains inherent discomfort for her), people have been recommending/voting for a lot of movies she distinctly wouldn't like to get that kind of reaction out of her.

Above Average Dave

I switched off Godzilla because it’s too far behind. The Fly will leave less of a lasting impression on Cassie, in a negative way that is.

Cole Jennett

I always take into account her enjoyment in my votes, unless it’s a movie I think she needs to see like a Schindler’s List, or A Time to Kill. But in this case, I’m voting for the lesser of two evils imo. The Fly will haunt her for a shorter period then Arachnophobia imo. Godzilla has no realistic shot or I would have kept my vote there.

Cole Jennett

Lol, stop with the Hyperbole, you're KILLING me!

Richard Maurer

For some, "Arachnophobia" can be one of those life altering flicks that whenever you find yourself cleaning the basement or washing your hair in the shower your reminded of those sassy critters who seemed arrogantly motivated to torture your inner worst fears. Eating popcorn in bed may have an extra hint of anxiety after this classic.

Kevin Kuma

I won't watch because I won't waste my time on a crap movie.

Richard Maurer

All 3 Films source comes from the novella “Who Goes There?” written by John W. Campbell in 1938. The Thing From Another World (1951) loosely adapted the novella for film, changing “the thing” in the film from the novella. The Thing (1982) changed “the thing” back to “the thing” from the novella, while also starting the events of the film after the events from the novella and (1951) film. Again, not an intentional direct sequel. The location changed and characters changed, but the “events” were the same, between events in The Thing From Another World (1951) and events before beginning of The Thing (1982). The Thing (2011) is a prequel to The Thing (1982), so in a sense, The Thing (2011) is a remake of The Thing From Another World (1951), because the “events” are the same. Again, locations and characters changed, but “events” the same. I’m having fun making this sound complicated, by the way.

Larry Darrell

I feel sad about that.

Richard Maurer

The Mist and Godzilla aren't going to win. Do you really want to sit through a goofy, cheap scare, kid's movie?

Richard Maurer

I want them to see what I believe to be the best movie in the poll - period. Not the BS baggage you people try to give me.

Richard Maurer

I'm actually agreeing with Stick Figure on this one, although just barely as to Arachnophobia.

Richard Maurer

Good point... but given the type of poll, squirming is inescapable. Thus, we shall all squirm together! :)

ArsTropica

Do people take into account whether or not the ladies will actually enjoy the movies they are picking, or do they just want to see them squirm?

Story Archer

Neither movie would scar her, that's literally ridiculous, and you know it. Stop engaging in hyperbole just to scare Cassie away from films you don't want her watch.

Richard Maurer

Honestly I think The Fly is the worst of the four lol

William Bryan

Reminds me of this quote by Stephen King... "I recognize terror as the finest emotion and so I will try to terrorize the reader. But if I find that I cannot terrify, I will try to horrify, and if I find that I cannot horrify, I'll go for the gross-out. I'm not proud." The only film that I remember that does all three is Splice. But The Fly manages to do 2 out of 3, imo.

ArsTropica

Unless you want Arachnophobia, time to switch your vote to The Fly.

Richard Maurer

Time to rally around The Fly - keep Arachnophobia from winning!

Richard Maurer

The fly is gross and disgusting... and I would love to see Cassie's reaction to it. >:‑)

ArsTropica

I hear you man, I hear you. Such an original idea with an original cast. Somewhat scary at times. Just an overall great horror movies.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

The Fly is nothing. Human Centipede? Yeah

William Bryan

Bingo.

William Bryan

I love The Mist, too. But I don't see that horse catching up.

Eddie Perkins

Do you know how you get something in your mind that it's way worse than it actually is? I think that's what's going on with The Exorcist. She said she will never watch it.

Eddie Perkins

The Fly is disgusting.

Alina Jones

Eight Legged Freaks is the better movie, for sure!

Barry Justice

I think she can handle Arachnophobia as well.

Barry Justice

THE FLY - TOMATOMETER 93% AUDIENCE 83% - ARACHNOPHOBIA 93% AUDIENCE SCORE 54% They both are great movies, but I would go with The Fly 1st.

Eddie Perkins

So right, for instance Maximum Overdrive.

Barry Justice

Agreed! Godzilla is totally a Carly friendly movie!

Todzilla

King of Monsters for me!!

Todzilla

Poor Godzilla taking a beating. And this is really the only "Carly Safe" movie on the list! Do it for Carly!

Todzilla

Glad to see Arachnophobia and The Fly are leading. Those are my top two choices.

Clay F

The Fly is gross. Skip it..

David

The Mist is the best movie there. Acting is the best. Definitely the scariest. It also delves into the darkest regions of the human psyche- showing what people are capable of when they're desperate.

William Bryan

Cassie do a theatre reaction to The Exorcist: Believer. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

William Bryan

I think it's a tragedy if she never watches The Conjuring series. I know for Cassie it's a taboo but it's truly frightening and a good choice for the month of October.

William Bryan

The descent was at the limit of how scary movie I can handle.

Björn Von Knorring

Trollhunter ftw 😀

Björn Karlsson

Hehe I confused them, so you are correct 😬😉🙂

Björn Karlsson

I wanted the Descent. It is frightening!!!

Alina Jones

“There are dozens of reactions to the mist on YouTube already”. Same with Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Band of Brothers. And a bunch others. We sub to these channels for the specific reactor reacting to movies. So sure dozens of reactors have watched it. But like the man above said. None of em are Cassie.

Stan the Man

You must be fun at parties. I was kidding dude. It’s a joke. See because Shawshank and Greenmile are so similar with the Prison settings? Both directed by Darabont based on Stephen King books? The idea being… uh never mind. And let it go? Heck no. Are u kidding? The internet needs, neigh, DESERVES to see this woman react to that movie. It’s why the internet was created. It was prophesied all those years ago.

Stan the Man

Come on, ladies and germs. We can at least make sure it's a tie. Or if it stays like this, with 1% being the difference, there should be an executive decision, and the runner up should also be watched.

Shehab Dawoud

I wanted The Descent to finish top 2.

John Cranberry

Arachnophobia is such a mediocre movie, I wonder if people are getting confused with that and Eight Legged Freaks. A tragedy if she doesn't get to see The Mist.

rakesh

I have no idea who you are or what you are talking about, I was merely commenting on your bonkers outburst, which is richly deserving of a hearty laugh

Patrick Flanagan

I see Godzilla, I click Godzilla.

DaftBasterd

I mean it’s not for Cassie!

Luke Godfrey

LOL

Patrick Flanagan

Seriously, this is pretty much spoiler territory. Why do people insist on blurting this stuff out?

Patrick Flanagan

You mean the shark?

Patrick Flanagan

I hear this all the time from people in real life and I have never understood this. People are ABSOLUTELY free to not watch whatever they want, we all have preferences, but do people think movies like THE EXORCIST are, what, pro-Satan or something? Do they think it's real, that the "real" Devil is sitting around waiting for people to stream it off Amazon Prime so he can manifest in their living room? I just don't get it. [shrugs]

Patrick Flanagan

Alright, now you're just being blatantly dishonest here. THE MIST is NOT AT ALL anything like THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION or THE GREEN MILE. Just let it go.

Patrick Flanagan

uh, the 1951 movie took place at the North Pole and has nothing to do with either the 1982 or 2011 films, which took place in Antarctica.

Patrick Flanagan

I hope we get all the way to Skull Island. That movie goes so hard.

djKENTO

It's more that I understand she would hate it. Undoubtedly. I genuinely look forward to reactors discovering something they would never ordinarily watch and enjoying it, and with some movies it's a roll of the dice whether they see the virtues in the movie which I see, but the chances of her watching THE MIST and enjoying it are virtually nil. So it would just be a waste of my time to vote for that. I don't really buy the idea that movies are traumatizing.

Patrick Flanagan

I don't buy this idea that some people are too "delicate" or whatever for movies, she would be fine, it wouldn't scar her for life or anything. But she would hate it. I don't get the appeal of asking someone to watch a movie you know they'll hate. Spite?

Patrick Flanagan

Nice Drago riff.

Stick Figure Studios

I've seen all three (though, as I said it's been a while) and I understand what you're saying now. I don't know that I would characterize them exactly the same way, but it's probably just semantics. Not a hill I'm interested in dying on.

Stick Figure Studios

Guarantee that Carly will scream in terror and cover her eyes at THE MUMMY and I apologize in advance for laughing at that

Patrick Flanagan

The Fly is honestly and truly not that scary. It is disgusting and revolting but also incredibly sad. A science fiction love story. The are movies more disturbing, then The Fly. Like for instance Dario Argento masterpiece Phenomena (1985), with a very young Jennifer Connelly or Audition (1999) a Japanese horror movie that can only be described as The Bachelor meets Hostel. Or Freaks! (1932) in which the director Tod Browning used real life circus freaks in the movie. Or the masterpiece The Exorcist (1973) which I believe would screw up Cassie for days you never unsee that movie.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

You mean the realest ending ever?

Ryan Gondek

If she breaks, she breaks. MIST.

Ryan Gondek

I get how The Mist is losing to The Fly and Arachnophobia but Godzilla 2014? Come on people.

Ryan Gondek

Cassie's patrons are apparently evenly split between those who want to throw her to the wolves to watch them devour her; and those who want to protect her as one would a precious, precious flower. One day they'll write books about this titanic ethical struggle.

Carol_White

Even if

Kevin Charley

If you’re not afraid of spiders maybe🤷‍♂️

Cole Jennett

Arachnophobia is like a kids movie

Kevin Charley

Godzilla 2014 is awesome and so are the sequel movies! Highly recommend seeing… it also has quite a few familiar faces in it 😄

Josh Phillips

James, do not post spoilers in this patreon. This is non negotiable, thanks!

Coleton B.

Tom-ma-toe tom-mah-tow I guess. Both are very graphic, to be sure. For whatever reason, I found The Thing to be more so, but no doubt both are severe. And yeah, the practical effects were so good, it really makes the impact so intense. I was watching the youtube edit of Lethal Weapon 4 and during the scene where Jet Li got shot, Cassie says, "Ooooh, that was graphic", and I thought, "hoo-boy, you think that was graphic...!" I really like both - probably The Thing more because of the thriller atmosphere and the cast. And I do think Cassie will enjoy that aspect, but I am very curious how she reacts to the body horror. It should be fun to watch :)

Walter

Yes, but none of them are Cassie.

JohnB

(1982) Not an intentional direct sequel of (1951), I’ll give you that, but in the sequence of events, The Thing (1982) events happen after the events in The Thing From Another World (1951). The Thing (2011) remade the events of The Thing From Another World (1951) so that they connected with The Thing (1982). The events that take place in The Thing From Another World (1951) were the same events that happened at the “other place” in The Thing (1982), before the beginning of the film, (only remade to resemble the events that occurred in the novella, which the 1951 film ignored) which can be seen in The Thing (2011). If none of that made sense… then watch all 3 and it will.

Larry Darrell

All the people saying you should watch with Carly🤯🤯. Outside of Godzilla maybe, these are definitely not Carly movies. It’s arguable that they are even Cassie movies😂

Cole Jennett

I think they're pretty equal in terms of gross-ness.

Stick Figure Studios

I would. But I'm not mad about Arachnophobia if that takes it. Godzilla is unbuttered toast and she'll probably hate the other two, but I'd be here to watch any of those reactions.

RabidMango

I’m not a Horror movie buff, nor is it my favorite genre, but The Thing is one of my favorite films. Not because of the horror elements, but because of the Story and the execution of said story. The Mystery of The Thing is what brings me back to watch it again and again, trying to figure things out. The Effects (which are some of the best created for film) are secondary to the Story, in my opinion. Hopefully Cassie can focus on the Mystery and not get bogged down too much with the other. I’ve only ever seen The Fly once and never had a desire to see it again, because of the feeling it gave me. I may have to revisit it again someday, to see if I missed something in the story. The memory of the effects have been keeping me at bay.

Larry Darrell

The channel needs some Canadian content.

Carol_White

I didn't think they were angry or annoyed, just really stunned. It is an extremely gutsy way to end it, knowing how horrified everyone would be. It is kind of a unique animal. And as for King saying he wishes he'd thought of it, he was being kind. He DID think of it - actions taken by the characters (especially David) as well as a number of things in the dialogue show he had the very same ending in mind. Darabont just took it to its conclusion.

Cliff Endicott

there are dozens of reactions to the mist on youtube already

pat on

Does no one want Cassie to experience the mist?

Vincent Grosky

Do not watch The Fly by yourself. It’s a GREAT movie, but you need someone there for support and someone to hold onto. 😬 Trust me.

ChristopherTracy

you should watch them all eventually, except for godzilla (2014), i thought it was boring. but godzilla (1998) is fun

diego kontarovsky

At this point, these are all great movies. Watch them ALL. But if not, watch The Fly with Carly.

ChristopherTracy

I think Carly could handle Arachnophobia.

Bill Hayden

The Mist has some great monsters, so it fits as a creature feature on its surface, but the tension in the movie comes from seeing how people react in stressful situations. With the stress/tension coming from some great characters, the movie feels closer to a Thriller or Suspense film than Horror. If you like watching good character work in action movies, then you'll probably enjoy this one even though you'll be creeped out at times.

Tringard

Arachnophobia is real. I'm rooting forThe Fly

nick bell

Just making conversation. I always like it when other people interact with my comments, so I thought I'd return the favor and interact with other people's, but if you think I'm responding too much then I can dial it back. Just let me know what's the maximum amount of responses I can make so I know for the future.

Stick Figure Studios

Really? You think The Fly has more gross out scenes than The Thing??? Wow. Maybe I need to revisit, but I do not agree with that. Both will freak Cassie out though.

Walter

Or Eastern Promises

Tim Raths

It's a long time since I've seen either, but I don't believe the 1982 THING is a sequel to the 1951 Howard Hawks film, but just a remake/adaptation of the same source material and the 2011 film is a prequel to Carpenter's film.

Stick Figure Studios

james flack

I voted for Arachnaphobia but am absolutely not going to watch that reaction if it wins.

Timothy Burrows

Yeah, I would have started with THE DEAD ZONE were I wanting to introduce her to Cronenberg. More suspense. Less... viscera.

Stick Figure Studios

She'll have to react to both since it's so close. She could give us an early Christmas present!

Barry Justice

Lol, to be fair Coleton, I like that movie, and this “spoiler” is the last way I’d have described that movie.

Cole Jennett

Spiders eat Flies for breakfast… and Moths for dinner. :-)

Larry Darrell

Have you watched the Cinebinge reaction? They were just angry and annoyed. I don’t think it works as a react movie because there’s no space to react. It’s just over.

Jacob King

Technically, The Thing (1982) is a sequel to The Thing From Another World (1951), with elements re-imagined from the first film to be more in the manner of the novella Who Goes There? (1938). The Thing (2011) is the remake of The Thing From Another World (1951), and a prequel to The Thing (1982).

Larry Darrell

I think it depends how she reacts to the practical effects. I just watched "The Thing" in 4k and the clarity made it less real.

Barry Justice

Arachnophobia is a fun/scary movie that even Carly can watch. The fly is more tragic than anything.

Barry Justice

I remember buying my first hi -fi stereo system back in the day that included Cerwin Vega speakers. Good times.

Robin Craft

Really? You want to throw Cronenberg at her?

Brian Lowery

Your first sentence would have the two films switched if I had said it.

Larry Darrell

Went with the fly

Gene Crossin

EVERYONE VOTE FOR THE MIST NAAAAOW( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Diiirk706

As a Godzilla fan, huh?

Jacob King

That comment reminds of the original The Fly movie with Vincent Price.

Shawn Kildal

I think Cassie has said The Shining is the scariest movies she's seen. I'm predicting The Thing & The Fly (should it win) will easily surpass that for her.

Shawn Kildal

The acting is better in The Fly than Arachnaphobia.

Jeffery Parks

One of Bridgette Fonda's more endearing roles.

Jeffery Parks

The vote is so close. However, I advise you to think about it; in a logical manner. It's pretty simple, the spider ALWAYS beats the fly. :)

DesertSwordsman

Don't listen to The Mist haters,The Fly is a must but you should give The Mist a try.

FranciscoGios

Love the BOC reference!

Jeffery Parks

I was more commenting on how it actually made it to the Final 4 over films like The Descent and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Also, to be clear, I'm not saying that all Godzilla movies are forgettable, just that the 2014 one was (a couple others as well).

Stranger2Reality

I’m still not over The Fly and I’m 46 now

Joey

Why are you replying to almost every comment in this post?

Menno

Cassie won't watch anything with satanic content so it's a no go for The Exorcist.

Robin Craft

Carly is very sensitive to scary and disturbing content so I don't think she will.

Robin Craft

It’s just getting delayed.

Tim Raths

This may have to come down to a final 2 vote!

Mitchell Bowker

Don't watch Arachnophobia unless you want to have arachnophobia lol

Eric Lopez

I would not even assume. I would bet my life that she will not be gracing us with her presence. Maybe Ara hnophobia or Godzilla, but neither of the others.

Brian McGovern

I would not say it is disgusting, more grotesque.Disgusting is something I would attribute to The Human Centipede or A Serbian Film. Those movies are just disgusting and really have nothing to say. To me they have different meanings, but disgusting has more of a negative connotation. To be honest, I would not be at all surprised if Cassie comes out and says she was not able to handle it and we never see a reaction to it. It would be at least the second known time it would have happened.

Brian McGovern

You simply have to watch them them all, can't pick onbe othe the others

Kim Brink

Come on Fly!!!!

John Cranberry

The issue is that the time it takes for us to remove a spoiler on Patreon is so long, it's usually too late (like it was for Duane A Lavely's comment, here). Patreon has no moderator provisions, unfortunately. We have to rely on an honour system, basically and it leaves us wide open.

Coleton B.

If it's October it must be the Exorcist! It's the greatest horror movie of all time.

Paul Murphy

I would assume not.

Stick Figure Studios

Coleton... I'm seeing a lot of new names in here. Perhaps they're not as aware of posting spoilers as they should be.

Robin Craft

Will Carly be watching the winning film of this poll with you?

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

To me the Mist isn't monster scary, it's people scary. It's more about what manipulation and fear do to people.

aarswft

These results are strange

aarswft

Are you seriously asking? Sometimes she watches the movies that don’t win when people mention it should be watched. In this case, I think this particular movie is one that would be great just from a reaction standpoint. Even if you don’t like the movie it should be a hilarious entertaining reaction video. And that’s what I’d love to see.

Stan the Man

Man it saddens me just a bit to see people saying this about The Fly and to a lesser extend the mist. The Fly is often considered one of the best horror films ever made. Directed by the fantastic David Cronenberg. It’s a stark, thoughtful & beautiful film. And the mist? The mist is just sublime. Surprising to see so many here knocking it. Just goes to show how diverse the movie spectrum here is. Which ultimately is a good thing. Gets you a wider variety of films. But how cool would it be to see Cassie react to the mist? Even if you don’t dig the film you gotta admit it would be a reaction for the ages lol

Stan the Man

Why? Why post spoilers?

Coleton B.

The Fly is the best one left. The Mist was good but not great. Arachnophobia I saw when it was in the theater. Unless you are scared of spiders it's not really scary. Godzilla was great but King of The Monsters was better. My friends and I partnered with some movie critics. To make a list of the Top 100 Horror Movies Of All time. The Fly came in at #64, the rest never made the list. The Decent which went out in the first round came in at #35. The Shinning which she watched came in at #5, she also watched Psycho, which came in at #4 and she watched Halloween (1978) which came in at #3.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

I prefer the 1998 "Godzilla" with Matthew Broderick, Jean Reno, & Maria Pitillo. It has a boy loves girl, girl stomps on boy's heart, boy takes her back, girl stabs him in the back, then 3's the charm.

Duane A Lavely

I haven't seen The Mist because I thought it was too scary. The Goldblum version of the Fly is very gross though the acting is great. I love Godzilla but consider that a monster movie though those probably used to be shown during creature features. Arachnophobia may be the only one that is an actual in the name creature feature? I still voted for Godzilla because of the 3 I've seen, it's my favorite. If anyone wants to give me more info on why I should watch the Mist, please do.

Jennifer Medicus

I'm the 666th vote, Muhaaaa!!!

Chris Davis

Why even have polls if every single time somebody says, "you should watch [the loser I like] regardless"? If anything she should watch Indictment: The McMartin Trial (1995), it's lost so bad it didn't even make the polls it could have been on.

Mike Lemon

No one should be attacking you for having a different opinion. That being said HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THE MIST. Lol just kidding. While I love it and think Cassie watching it would be a legendary reaction video, I get it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. It might not win the poll but I hope she watches it anyways. I think it would be one of the funnier reaction videos.

Stan the Man

If it's The Fly, Cassie should not eat during it or before, and perhaps keep a bucket close by to vomit in if necessary. If it's Arachnophobia, she needs to keep her feet on the sofa. If it's The Mist, prebook a shrink's visit for the next day. Godzilla probably would have been the safest, let's face it.

Francis X. Lord

This is going to be a highly contentious poll. Each movie is pretty dang amazing, and definitely should be on your shortlist to watch ASAP. You in particular are so behind on scary movies that I don't know if you can really save them all for Halloween specifically. Like yeah. Would be great if you could watch at least the top 2 from this poll, but I understand time constrains. Either way, 4 super solid choices and amazing movies.

Astraeos

The Fly (1986) and Arachnophobia (1990) are my top two. I voted Arachnophobia. In 1991, Arachnophobia (1990) was the first movie I watched with my new 5-speaker surround sound system that included two big Cerwin Vega street speakers that rattled the windows in the tiny 2BR/1BA home we rented in Lake Charles. By the way, True Detective S1 did an excellent job depicting (and capturing the feel of) SW Louisiana in mid-90s. Your reaction to True Detective S1 was awesome.

Clay F

Cassie. I think you should watch The Mist regardless. It’s by the same writer/director of Shawshank Redemption & The Green Mile. Frank Darabont. So if you liked those two movies, you’ll have an idea of what The Mist is going to be like. Sure it’s a creature feature, but just like Shawshank Redemption & Green Mile it’s got a big heart.

Stan the Man

Arachnophobia would be my pick. I like The Fly, personally, but I'm not sure if I see Cassie enjoying it. It's just too damn gross, imo.

Hans Olav Sletnes

I don’t get it. So many people are ragging on the mist. Maybe Cassie dodged a bullet, but we the internet would be missing out on pure gold.

Stan the Man

Sometimes reading the comments here is a real shock to the system. I gotta remind myself not everyone likes the same things. But both the mist and the fly are…terrific. David Cronenberg, Frank Darabont. Come on. These are awesome films.

Stan the Man

THE MIST!!

Riley

Go go Godzilla! Not only a great song, but the only movie choice that probably won't severely traumatize Cassie 😆

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

This is exactly WHY IT MUST WIN. I mean come on! What are we even doing here folks? Think of the awesomeness that will be her reaction. It is such a…wow. I need to see that. It will be a reaction for the ages

Stan the Man

the fly, goldblum is amazing in it. Geena Davis also.

Christian Valdersnes

Come on y’all. Do we really not want to see the internet gold that will be Cassie watching the mist? It has to be done. I need to see that. Please

Stan the Man

The Fly ♥️ Arachnophobia is also good but it has a very strange tone, it’s too overly comedic sometimes and it doesn’t always work.

Aaron Ritchie

I think The Fly is less scary only because it's not jump scary, unlike Arachnophobia, just because I watched Awkward Ashleigh's reaction. And I swear, Ashleigh's new favorite word is, "Huh?!" The Fly is plenty good, though. It's more David Cronenberg body horror.

Jacob Colson

But you can handle THE FLY better? :-/

Stick Figure Studios

Oh god, no please not Arachnophobia. I can not handle that movie.

Andy Bodkin

Hard to argue why i think the Mist can be a tough watch for some without getting into spoiler territory. But both are good movies.

Mahad Ali

It's hard to say how she will take The Descent, whenever she gets around to it. Without spoiling anything, I couldn't even finish watching it, but it wasn't because it was scary to me, nor because it was not a good movie. But I can understand why it might be horrifyingly scary to some people, something I can't really honestly say about very many movies.

David Collins

Stephen King also famously hated Kubrick's THE SHINING and directed a lousy movie based on one of his stories. He doesn't always know what's best when it comes to films adapted from his work.

Stick Figure Studios

I voted for it, so it has no chance. You can breathe easy now.

Mike Lemon

I guess this is a good reminder of why i generally don’t post comments on social media. Thanks for the heads up though.

Mahad Ali

The Meg should be on this list too.

Gregory L Costello

I know the feeling. I've in critical of it in the past as well (mostly for that one scene) and I've been accused of "just not getting it" or "having terrible taste in movies" or what have you.

Stick Figure Studios

I'm amazed that that there are those who think that all of these are worse than THE MEG.

Stick Figure Studios

I prefer the ending in the novella but Stephen King has said that the movie's ending is better and that he wished he'd thought of it.

Just Plain Bob

The Fly is a better film than Arachnophobia - although I like Arachnophobia quite a bit. But, I doubt it would make for a better reaction. The quality of the film and the quality/fun of the reaction don't necessarily coincide.

Just Plain Bob

no they don't. at least not the die-hard godzilla fans I know...🤔 maybe you're confusing it with the 1998 roland emmerich version? 🤔

silverarrow06

The Fly is a decent remake but Arachnophobia is so much more fun. I had a spider we used to feed when I was young, not quite a pet but fascinating.

Allen W. McDonnell

I was attacked when I said I didnt like the Mist.

zynjams

I went with The Fly but I think she would get through The Mist. She definitely would want to exclude Carly though. That poor girl would spend the entire show in the fetal position.

David Collins

These are the four worst movies on the list. This is a "Worst Movies List" not a creature feature.

Gregory L Costello

I guess they don't find them so innocuous, but whatever.

Stick Figure Studios

even Godzilla fans hate this movie

zynjams

I still think about that ending, I blame the lazy writers of this movie.

zynjams

Most people think the remake is better and have been pushing Cassie to watch it for a long time.

Stick Figure Studios

These are all fun at least. I hope the fly wins, it's definitely not that scary and i think it'll be the most interesting for cassie, I almost hoped the descent made the cut tho 😋

Sahitya

And this is a Creature Feature poll, not a horror/Halloween poll. Godzilla is certainly a creature. May the best creature win! (except spiders. no spiders please, lol)

Dave

totally agree,

zynjams

Lol. Really? I hope that isn’t the case. What kind of people have the time to police other commenter’s innocuous posts.

Mahad Ali

Just not a fan of any of these movies.

Craig Russell

Cassie, I am just hoping you survive The Thing! Take care.

Raj K. Dixit

It's in last place, so I think we're safe.

Stick Figure Studios

If Arachnophobia wins, I won't be watching along. I HATE spiders! Have fun. What about the original The Thing from Another World (1951)? I think it is much better than the remake.

Kat Farlowe

The fact that Godzilla has the amount of votes that it does, is baffling to me. This is an action movie. Not a horror/Halloween movie

Eric Galdes

Get ready to be called "creepy" for trying to be thoughtful/sensitive to something like that.

Stick Figure Studios

Really? You thought all of these were worse than THE MEG?

Stick Figure Studios

And maybe stepped into the path of another. :-)

Stick Figure Studios

For God's sake, please don't let The Mist win. That's one Cassie would never recover from.

Cliff Endicott

You dodged a bullet with the descent

JimJames

I like horror movies, but I really did not enjoy the ending to The Mist. I enjoyed the novella. But the movie is...well, if you've seen it, you know. I think The Fly is excellent. I've never really been compelled to watch Arachnaphobia since it came out, but I enjoyed it as a thriller.

David Blount

She decided to be even braver than normal this year (good for her) and thus left the door open for number of patrons to break it down. :-)

Stick Figure Studios

Highly disagree.

Art of Free Speech

Why on earth people want her to watch The Fly is beyond me. It's such a disgusting film.

Art of Free Speech

Worlds more fun.

Art of Free Speech

Personally, I liked the 2014 GODZILLA, but it doesn't look like it's going to win, so it's a Muto point.

Stick Figure Studios

The only way it’s a comedy is if you find terrible movies funny lol.

shaneth138

I hope she watches both The Fly & Arachnophobia!

Philip Alan

Ok great advise. I have a feeling she will be watching the fly anyway. Or not watching 😂

LDC7080

All of these movies are pretty terrible honestly.

shaneth138

I went for the one that is less likely to scar. It ain’t gonna win, but my conscious is clear that I did voted for entertainment over psychological trauma. Make no mistake, I love The Fly, but Cassie is truly not ready for it. Get the “ Oh my gosh” counter out, it’s gonna be a doozy.

Brian McGovern

Your friends didn't lie. There's quite a bit of humor in it. Personally, i love it and it got my vote.

Stick Figure Studios

Hahaha the 4 worst movies on the list are the finalists.

shaneth138

@glenn: I agree.

Stick Figure Studios

Shin Godzilla is actually pretty awesome. Great visual and great music

Jyn Jilly

The Mist is by my favorite movie on the list but i don’t think Cassie can handle it.

Mahad Ali

Someone suggested a Godzilla theme week. I think that's a good idea.

Stick Figure Studios

Me neither.

Stick Figure Studios

As would THE MIST, but thankfully it's in last place.

Stick Figure Studios

The Fly is gonna seem like a fun romp compared to The Thing. I would NEVER recommend Cassie watch The Thing. But I agree, The Fly is a great movie for what it is, but it's not a Cassie movie.

Walter

I'm not so sure.

Stick Figure Studios

More like a dull-umentary

sarCC

That line was so good that they made it the tagline for the film and it's become one of the most quoted ones in movie history (like ALIEN's "In space no one can hear you scream.").

Stick Figure Studios

I hope she watches Shin Godzilla, then maybe jumps into the US "Monsterverse" with Kong: Skull Island.

sarCC

Come on, guys! The Fly will be a waaaay better react than Arachnophobia

Neill Shaughness

Same here, but I wouldn't refer to where THAT scene occurs in the context of the film.

Stick Figure Studios

Me too.

Stick Figure Studios

Agreed.

Stick Figure Studios

To quote a line from The Fly, “Be afraid. Be very afraid”

Brian McGovern

I think The Mist would be far worse, but that's just my opinion.

glenn harper

I went with ARACHNOPHOBIA myself.

Stick Figure Studios

Yes.

Stick Figure Studios

For Cassie’s sake I hope The Fly or The Mist don’t win. One is just gross and the other has the worst ending ever. I think Godzilla is the only movie in this poll that Cassie would actually enjoy. Hopefully people take that into account when voting.

Luke Godfrey

Thank you. I agree. :-)

Stick Figure Studios

The Fly is gonna scar her forever...

Menno

I also love The Fly. But in regards to this poll, I choose Arachnophobia, The Mist, The Fly, and Godzilla. In that order

FrozenRope

Arachnophobia would be so much more of a fun reaction than The Fly, which I love but she would hate.

Caelin Beaty

i hope the Fly doesn't win. I guess its a good movie but i don't enjoy it by any means considering how gross it is. I'm rooting for Arachnophobia.

Armchair Rizzard

Has she seen Gremlins?

Patrick Gibbs

Sorry, I just can't see the ladies enjoying The Fly at all, so please let's not do that to them. I had personally hoped that they would end up watching Godzilla, if only to lead them into the rest of the franchise, but considering how much they enjoyed Tremors, Arachnophobia definitely seems like the best fit here.

Story Archer

I think your point about The Fly being “a bit much”, coming on the heels of The Thing, is a point well made. Accordingly, I’ve changed my vote to Arachnophobia (a movie I believe she’ll enjoy quite a lot - I know I did). If Cassie watches one or two really good classic horror movies each Halloween season I’m satisfied. Save The Fly for next year.

Just Plain Bob

It's a great horror film and one of those rare remakes that's superior to its original. I didn't vote for it personally because I think it might be a bit much after THE THING. I went with ARACHNOPHOBIA instead, but I love THE FLY nonetheless.

Stick Figure Studios

So did John Wick 4 get cancelled or something? I remember she said she was sick, but there's been updates on everything except that movie.

Aaron

Sorry can’t help it. It stayed with me.

LDC7080

I still like your idea about a monster poll and by monster I mean the big bad earth trembling sort.... Godzilla, King Kong, Cloverfield, Eight Legged Freaks etc.

Robin Craft

It’s “much” in a different way. Emotional vs. body horror. But yes… “much” in its own way.

Eric Galdes

Careful with spoilers.

Stick Figure Studios

Hear, hear.

Stick Figure Studios

The Mist would just wreck her. Not voting for that.

Gary Trousdale

I hate spiders so I'll be skipping Arachnaphobia and The Fly was just gross as hell so that's a no for me. I'll be happy if Cassie watches Godzilla at some point but I've never watched The Mist so I have no idea if I'd like it or not. 🤷‍♂️ In reality October will be an off month for me. I doubt I'll watch much because I despise horror flicks in general.

Andrew Rose

I’ve always found it funny, particularly the great performances. But comedy is subjective of course. Unless spiders are your biggest phobia I’d recommend giving it a try.

Alex Ch

@Alex Gorell Recency bias is an absolute plague on the film industry. When I was growing up (yes, I’m old) we certainly suffered from recency bias. But not anything like today, when millennials consider any movie made before their birth to be “old.” And their devotion to the idiot god CGI is nauseating.

Just Plain Bob

Glad the mist is coming last. Hate that ending such a waste ☹️

LDC7080

because it's great.

Matt Rose

I think it’s a great movie and there’s a great sequel

LDC7080

It’s not my favourite but I’ve picked arachnophobia you have set yourself up here. I’d only watch the winner if I were you .

LDC7080

Lake Placid is more of a movie for us. Not so gruesome and sone humor. Please don’t feel the need to watch movies you are uncomfortable with!

Mary W

And then we can wait for her head to spin around.

Stick Figure Studios

I’d love a Godzilla theme week. Big fan of kaiju films in general, Godzilla in particular.

Just Plain Bob

I'm looking forward to watching The Fly with you. It's so much more than a horror film. A masterpiece.

Henry Graham

That will be fun. :-)

Stick Figure Studios

LOL. The reaction to those would definitely be "epic." :-)

Stick Figure Studios

Great, thanks!

Matt Rose

The Fly? Why are people voting for The Fly?

FrozenRope

Someone suggested doing a Godzilla theme week. I think that's a good idea.

Stick Figure Studios

Really?? Not The Creature??? Disappointed!!!!!!

Jay E Bjorklund

She is, with Carly

Jon Johns

Likewise with THE MIST.

Stick Figure Studios

Oh, my poor giant terrible lizard, I'll have to wait another year to hear your blood curdling roar reach Cassies ears. 😭🦎

Jon Johns

So then my friends lied to me 🤣🤣 of course they did.

Alex Gorell

We should stop trying to make retch happen!

Marcus Merrell

Come on, mist!!! You got this!!! ^o^

Daryl

LOL! X-D

Stick Figure Studios

But not necessarily burnt toast. ;-)

Stick Figure Studios

I've seen it a few times, im not sure where the comedy is....🤣

Deano

Me too.

Stick Figure Studios

One again, voting for ARACHNAPHOBIA. I love that film and I'm with those who think it's the best combination of scary and fun. THE FLY is terrific, but I think it'd be a bit much after THE THING. GODZILLA should be saved for a theme week IMO and THE MIST... well, I've already said my piece about that movie lready elsewhere, so I won't repeat it now.

Stick Figure Studios

Sorry can't bear is what i meant

Mark Majeski

I'm voting for the spiders. John Goodman is in it, and it's a little more fun. Can bear the thought of her watching The Mist or The Fly.

Mark Majeski

Agreed.

Steven Perez

Recency bias unfortunately.

Alex Gorell

You might have dodge a bullet not having to watch a certain scene in The Mist 😂. But even though The Fly is a very good movie it still could give you one or two nightmares but different styles of horror effects people in different ways. As I saw the fly when a was around 12 and it didn’t bother me but back then I just couldn’t watch most Supernatural movies as it would just mess with my head lol.

Dean Holt

Godzilla is such a great documentary

Stephen DeBow

Spiders or flies? Spiders or flies? I think I’ll go with spiders!

James UK

As far as body horror goes, u can’t top Cronenberg. The Fly it is

Lance Li

Seriously lol I almost fell asleep after, without spoiling, something happens to a certain character

Jyn Jilly

I am torn between Godzilla and The Fly, as for those people voting for The Mist, I thought you guys loved Cassie! So why do you want to break her sensitive little heart with that film 😭!

jerome kent

THE MIST isn't also a little "much?"

Stick Figure Studios

While I love Godzilla, this is NOT the one I’d choose to to have Cassie watch. That being said it is the only reaction I’d be able to watch. Good luck Cassie, your fans seem to be cruel and unusual this Halloween! Scary!! 😂

Julie

I agree.

Stick Figure Studios

Or fetch.

Robin Craft

Arachnophobia is the only one of these I’ll watch. I do not like scary movies at all but I am told arachnophobia is like a comedy horror so I can probably deal with it.

Alex Gorell

I can't believe people voted for the 2014 version of Godzilla. What an utterly forgettable film that was. Please anything but that.

Stranger2Reality

Going with Arachnophobia

Bill Maurer

I really, really hope that Godzilla doesn’t win. I’d hate for Cassie’s first exposure to the King of Monsters to be the tepid 2014 movie. Better to start with the original 1954 film.

Just Plain Bob

People voting for The Fly really want to see Cassie never watch another horror film again. 😅

Gabriel L.

Yeesh, choosing between the mist, arachnophobia, and the fly is not fair. I think I'll split the difference and go with the mist.

Christopher Campbell

I think you will like this one more than some of the others, Cassie. Along with the “creature feature” in it, there’s also a love relationship involved!! 💕

Peggy Zehr

Arachnophobia is creepy entertainnent, The Fly, well you'll need to see for yourself, The Mist, also entertaining and that's all I'll say about that one, Godzilla, I skipped. ✌

Danny (Icarus)

Gotta go “Mist” on this one. Although the Fly is great, but might be a little “much”. The Mist would be the best reaction video without being a turn off. And Godzilla is fun, but kinda dorky… not really horror.

Eric Galdes

I'm ok with all of these (with Godzilla being my lowest preference). We need a 3 or 4 way tie to get them all.

Tringard

I want to vote for The Mist, but I won't since you would likely have trust issues with your subscribers from then on.

glenn harper

To me, Arachnophobia seems like the right combination of a little scary and a lot of fun.

Alex Ch

So we're just gonna sit here and watch Cassie retch for the month of October?

Marcus Merrell

Just verifying: you're also watching THE MUMMY (1999)?

Matt Rose

The Fly > The Mist > Arach > God

Pickupthepieces76

The giant monster fan in me wants to pick Godzilla, but the right answer here has got to be The Fly

Justin Murray

Arachnophobia if probably the one you would enjoy the most. The Fly and The Mist if your fans wanting to see your epic reaction haha

Wes

Oh man. You are toast.

Popermen

The Fly is great.

Marko T.

Darn it lake placid is so fun and the shallows has the best Movie character of all time in a supporting role

Neil Varma
