The Falcon and the Winter Soldier EP1+2 - Full Reaction

Hey guys! Hope you're having a great week so far! I'm excited to continue on with the next Marvel show after WandaVision. I'm having fun! I was hesitant to see caps shield passed on in Avengers End Game and even more so maybe after these first 2 episodes, but I love Bucky and I think this will be a fun series!

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier EP1+2 - Full Reaction

yeah I remember watching 22 Jump Street back in 2013 or something and had the exact same feeling

Rippan

This show is such a sleeper hit compared to the other Marvel shows it got sandwiched between, but it's *so* strong despite that, easily my favorite of the three (five really). Where the theme of Wandavision was grief, TFATWS really owns exploring what it means to have an identity and what that identity is, good and bad. Bucky's identity (both what he was and who he is now), Sam's, Walker's, America's, the *shield's*, even Steve's identity. So, so good.

Kathryn Harvey

The resemblance is strong enough I've literally seen people see him walk onscreen and go "Hey that guy looks like he might be related to Kurt Russell." It's very striking once you notice it.

Kathryn Harvey

I enjoyed this show. I think it works best when it focuses on Sam and Bucky's relationship. Bucky is probably my favorite part of the show. I also really like Wyatt Russell as John Walker.

I hated seeing the new Captain America come out no matter his resume and the posters saying “Cap is back” 🤬 He’s NOT Cap. How dare they use that nickname.

Tara

Cassie I really hope you put Tombstone on your calendar 🤞🏼

Tara

I didn’t know that the new Captain America was Kurt Russell’s son, but now I can really see the resemblance

Tara

Greatest crime of the western bracket: Tombstone was nowhere.

Zachary Carter

Wyatt Russell in “Overlord”

Wade Watts

Wyatt Russell, son of Kurt Russell, named after Wyatt Earp, whom Kurt played in the movie Tombstone. Time to watch Tombstone.

Godzilla Jones

I'm only4min in but as a Canadian you gotta recognize GSP/ George Saint Pierre. Greatest MMA fighter from Canada and maybe of all time. Defended his belt 13 times I think.

TinCan Cosmanaut

🤘 Disney is the new Monsanto. 🤘

ArsTropica

I will mention again "The Bronze" staring Melissa Rauch and Sebatian Stan, the winter-soldier. Great after seeing "The Cutting Edge" now.

Christopher Smith

Cap was my favorite Avenger, so it killed me to see his story wrap up. But like you, I’m glad he got his happy ending. He deserves it. I also understood Sam giving up the shield, but when the “new” Captain America walked out at the end, it really rubbed me the wrong way. Could not stand seeing the shield in that man’s hands.

Josh Phillips

Any word on when A few Good Men will happen?

Michael Lynch

This series is ranked lower than some of the others, but I dig the friendship between Bucky and Sam and this show wound up having issues with the story and shooting because of COVID, I still enjoyed it, and I think you will too.

Andrew Hogan

Fun fact, the actor playing John Walker, the new Captain America (Wyatt Russel) is the son of Kurt Russel who played Ego, father of Peter/Star Lord's father in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 While this series isn't my favorite, I really enjoy the journey of Bucky in this one. (and yeah like others has said, the serum doesn't do anything about aging, both Steve & Bucky was frozen. Remember, Steve got old in End Game)

Rippan

I think she said she went to see LOTR when she was 11, so that makes her 31 today.

Obie Brown

This would be as good a place as any to talk up one of Sebastian Stan's latest projects, "Pam and Tommy," on Hulu. It's a period piece, and it does a great job of depicting what things were like in the mid 90's, so I don't even know if Cassie was alive yet, cuz isn't she, like, 23, 24? Anywho...great acting, great music, and it goes deeper and is more thought-provoking than it might seem on the surface.
