Courtroom Poll A
Added 2022-03-08 07:21:52 +0000 UTCI feel SO excited for this genre. I have always loved law tv shows, but haven't seen very many courtroom movies. I have seen Legally Blonde, 12 Angry Men (on the channel), Conviction and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Ok since there were so many I wanted to include, we are going to do it like the Investigation poll and have POLL A and POLL B going at the same time for 2 days and then the top 4 will go to the FINAL poll and I will watch the winner and runner up! So fun right?! Wow that was a long run-on sentence.
Make sure to go vote on POLL B HERE AS WELL
As I have not seen any of these, I don't know how much "courtroom" each has but from your suggestions, help of friends and google I think this is a good list.
POLL A and B will close Thursday 3/10 at noon MST!

Oh yeah. I mean I wouldn't have had the guts to say what Pacino said about God in the end scene(even if it was just acting) but it does raise a lot of philosophical questions.

2022-03-10 23:00:11 +0000 UTCI find it super interesting how Kramer vs. Kramer doesn't get more love. Wasn't it the number one tearjerker movie of the late 70s and early 80s? I never saw it, to be honest, but I would have expected it to have scarred enough of you guys to rank higher. As for the rest: Primal Fear is amazing, not necessarily for its story but man, Edward Norton shines here. One of the most stellar performances of a newcomer. Trial of Nuremberg is also excellently played, albeit not entertaining in a more general way. I immensely enjoy Witness for the Prosecution and I could well imagine Cassie having a good time with it. As for everything else: I think I've seen most, and I don't think there's a bad one among them so I'm looking forward to whatever comes out on top.

2022-03-09 07:57:59 +0000 UTCCassie's already seen Home Alone, so we'd be making progress. I only wonder whether we'd need to detour by the Lethal Weapons. :-)

2022-03-09 06:01:54 +0000 UTCMCV was a smash hit at the time and it won Tomei an Oscar I believe. I remember not wanting to see it, really liking it when I did and now feel kind of ambivalent. Oh well.

2022-03-09 04:18:06 +0000 UTCI am reconciling the My Cousin Vinny choice as an incremental play towards Goodfellas and Casino.

2022-03-09 04:15:49 +0000 UTCI'm used to seeing my suggestions be miserably crushed in these polls. Now I am oddly calm as neither of them even made it into the polls: Reversal of Fortune (1990), Inherit the Wind (1960)

2022-03-09 04:13:41 +0000 UTCPolls have way to many choices with many great movies. Need to maybe have 3 or 4 choices then do another poll with the same category and so on. For example on this list there are 7 movies that are recommendations from me and i would and have watched every movie on the list. Many based on real events and happenings.

2022-03-09 04:02:46 +0000 UTCA lot of good ones here. Just saw The The Lincoln Lawyer, and it was intense and tricky (no spoilers.) But it wont win anyway. But My Cousin Vinny is fun too so,,,,. Really a lot of these are really good.
