Hey guys, here is my reaction to Aliens, the "Sequels" poll winner! This was another jump-fest for me. Many told me this was less scary and more action but I was still very scared haha. I hope you enjoy:) #Ripleyforpresident

I really enjoy this movie as much as the original Alien. This one is a bit more action but still scary, but it moves right along. For me, the Alien saga stops after this movie. I really couldn't stand the sequels, prequels, anything else that's out there.

Hi Preet! We used to store the full reactions on Google Drive, but have since moved to using dropbox. A lot of the reactions haven't been updated so if you're looking for something specific just let me know and I'll try to get it updated for you! (This one should be working now)

Hi
A lot of these videos that are on google drive instead of dropbox are asking for additional access in order to download but makes no sense as my google account already is linked to my patron ?

That was so much fun watching Aliens with you. There were a couple of times I thought you were going to just stop the movie. Glad you didn’t. I think this is a great movie, one of my favorites. Thanks again for another great reaction. (I love how you call her Rebecca and not Newt. Now she can say, “No one calls me Rebecca except my brother and Cassie.”

My advice for anyone wanting to keep the happy ending is to skip over 3 and then watch Resurrection as a separate unrelated movie. It's actually a really fun movie and you don't need to watch 3 to enjoy it. Nobody gave Resurrection a chance because 3 was just awful (IMHO).

Yes, there is a cut in the edit where it syncs correctly. The beginning is off by 16 seconds. I learned it was off when Cassie reacted to the 57 years in space comment way too early. So the reaction is 16 seconds behind. Then it corrects itself after the edit cut (meaning she got up for something, bathroom break, etc and paused the movie, then edited back right after that).

Man oh man oh man, I just can't get enough😂 You are so entertainingly funny and awesome! This is the 5th time I've watched your full-length of ALIENS and I just love it every time! "Queen Bee Xeno Lady" OMG my sides are splitting🤣🤣🤣 Pardon my language "Get away from her you BITCH!" one of the most iconic one-liners in movie history, I love it! Now, let me just say in defence and I speak for everybody who voted for you to watch this film, we didn't lie to you! We fans of this franchise view this sequel, one of the best sequels in movie history, more action packed rather than horror compared to the first one! That's not to say however that it doesn't have its scary/suspence moments, it does! But the action, guns blazing, subtle humor and explosions helps make us forget the scary stuff! You on the other hand Cassie and I say this as a compliment, you're just a wonderfully sweet, adorable, kind hearted soul who unfortunately gets spooked and scared very easily lol! I'm 34 and I've been a fan of this franchise since I was 7-8 years old! My cousin when we were kids, we'd always pretend we were Colonial Marines fighting ALIENS and the PREDATOR with wooden carved replicas of the M41A Pulse Rifle his dad made us, we'd dress up in Army Gear running around the backyard just having a ball, we even had the music playing on a boombox back in the day and we made a cardboard cut out of the APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) vehicle, my other cousin (his sister) would play the part of Newt and we'd pretend to rescue her from the ALIEN Queen, [sigh] good times😁 So I guess you could say we fans are just a bit braver than you, no offence lol😂 But, you are getting stronger the more movies you watch on this channel, and I'm enjoying all of it! A couple years ago, I bought an authentic airsoft replica of the M41A Pulse Rifle and it shoots, plastic BB's that is lol, functions via a battery! I know a lot of people are saying to avoid the other sequels like ALIEN 3 and ALIEN Resurrection, normally I would say the same, but I think those movies are the kind you should at least watch once, form your own opinion! Me on the other hand, I always watch them, I think of them as a good popcorn flicks, see what I did there lol😁 I also say, watch ALIEN vs PREDATOR, only that one though, don't bother with the sequel ALIENS vs PREDATOR Requiem, that is pure garbage! Like I mentioned during your recent Livestream, if you were to revisit the ALIEN movies, you should watch the Directors cut of the first ALIEN movie and the Special Edition of ALIENS, so many scenes that were cut from the original cut of the film that help fill in so many plot holes and help make the movies a bit better, just a suggestion😁 Really enjoyed this reaction Cassie, you're the best! Looking forward for more reactions in the future, much love and support, and stay classy Cassie🥰😁😉👍

Hi Cassie, I just love your reactions, which is why I joined patreon. I don’t think you’re being dramatic or acting. You are genuine. This is a genre that you normally don’t watch. I like the ending you imagined. You commented on something right after the Queen went through the doors and Ripley hugged Newt and I don’t know if you heard Newt call her Mommy. I thought that was so sweet. I forgot that Hicks survived. He also played Kyle Reese in The Terminator and I had a crush on him when I was a teenager back in the 80’s Bishop was also in The Terminator, but you recognized him as one of the cops trying to protect Sarah Connor.

Ok is anyone else having an audio lag because something is definitely off with the audio here. I’m synched up perfectly with your screen Cassie but the audio is about five seconds behind, you’re commenting on parts of the film that haven’t happened on screen yet,

A little bit of fun attached to this film:
The guy who played Burke was the co-star in a longish TV series called Mad About You that was just about married life of the couple, essentially, where neither were the "dumb" or "mean" tropes... A couple very much sweetly in love and he played an absolute sweetheart and playful guy in it.
So much so different that, though looking exactly the same, a good number of people don't recognize him as the opposite character depending on which they see first, the TV show or movie.
They also in the TV show included a running joke every couple of years or so where the movies would be brought up and his husband character would make some sort of comment about only having seen "the first one".
I liked the comment about the Marines not being very respectful... as a vet I laughed and was just like, "yeah, those are Marines...".
The large guns Vasquez and Drake carry are on the body-rig of steady-cams. A steady-cam at that time with the gun weighed around 40lbs at lightest and so shots of both, but especially Vasquez with it are quite short . Both actors found them quite heavy and uncomfortable but the actress playing Vasquez had the additional problem of her small size and weight balance an issue carrying them and while Drake's actor could use a standard harness she could not. They didn't have a custom harness made like actual smaller steadycam professionals use so they had to cut one up and secure it - in places with duct tape - to rig it for her use... As said, each shot with them in them was fairly short and props/support on set would rush to get them off them directly after/between scenes as someone untrained - and especially someone not even in a proper harness - are easily injured. Luckily, as far as I've ever read, the care taken during the film kept both actors from any common back injuries.
On the Marines angle, too, as much as he could be annoying I also felt really bad for Hudson a lot of the time. Being that Short (he mentioned less than a month at one point, I believe) and having one last mission being assigned being THAT one... I can appreciate that the guy was one month from being out of service and then sent to fight (and realize he was almost certainly going to die) those monsters. That would be one hell of a blow to anyone whereas the others seemed to be still having a normal enlistment period ahead. That's heck of a brain/emotional ride to know you were expecting a normal last month.

Finally just watched your reaction video, and it was great as usual. It's fun watching someone who gets so scared by these movies lol. I haven't read other comments yet, but I'm sure most will say what I'm going to say, which is that I highly recommend you DON'T watch Alien 3, for a long list of reasons. Can't be specific because I don't want to spoil anything if you do decide to watch it. So many other great movies out there that need reactions, and Alien 3 just isn't one of them.

I watched this in theaters. I was telling the story only a couple of weeks ago about the moment Ripley came out with the Power Loader. The movie audience got weirdly quiet just in time to clearly hear her famous line “get away from her you b***h!” That is the only time I’ve ever seen an audience literally stand up clapping and cheering. I’ve been to a lot of boxing/mma live fights where the crowd sounded the exact same. It didn’t just look like a fight on screen, it FELT like being at an actual fight. Great movie memory.

Trivial pursuit: The Marines in this movie called the highest ranking enlisted man "Top". Top is an informal term of 'affection' for a Master Sergeant in the Marine Corps. But the rank he's wearing is that of a Gunnery Sergeant. Therefore they would refer to him as Gunny. Plus it's highly unlikely they would speak so flippantly to the Lt. They would have spoken even worse about him behind his back however.

We need to stop putting poor Cassie through these kinds of movies. She's too soft-hearted and pure to take this kind of intense horror movie. She needs to see more romance and comedies and less monsters killing people and jump scares and such.

Greetings from the great state of Texas! At this very moment I'm watching your Aliens reaction and I'm loving it. Only one comment.... You should have watched the extended edition!! I was four when this came out and my mother couldn’t watch it for a while because I looked very much like Newt and there was too much projection. Lol
Ripley is the quintessential strong female character—she’s emotionally strong and kicks major ass, but she still has a personality and retains her feminine qualities. Today’s movie writers could definitely take a cue from James Cameron on that point.
I recommend you stop here with the Alien franchise. I don’t think you will enjoy them from here on out, especially with your dream ending for the survivors. Just sayin’.
Looking forward to the next reaction! I enjoy them so much. 😁

One of the things that makes Ripley such a strong female lead is the motherly instinct that she had for Newt. But this was also something that she shared with the Queen. The Queen also had that motherly instinct as well and though they we're enemies they shared that action. They both understood that one of them was going to die for that reason.
Sigourney Weaver was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for 1986 for this movie, a rather rare recognition for the science fiction and horror genres. This was also James Cameron's first big studio movie, coming off of the low-budget independent movie THE TERMINATOR in 1984.
This movie introduces the idea that the Aliens are a lot smarter than first believed, not simply creatures acting on instinct like in the first movie. They gather human prisoners and store them near the nuclear reactor, probably because they observed that humans behaved more cautiously in that part of the facility for fear of causing a meltdown. They notice humans' reliance on electricity and figure out how to cut it off. The Alien Queen watches Ripley demonstrate her flamethrower and recognizes that Ripley is threatening her eggs, and orders her soldiers to back off.
Great reaction, but I would recommend just stopping the series with this one. The following entries are of lesser quality and are so depressing they make the first two look like cheery romcoms.

Thank you for braving through this movie for us. ❤️ I sincerely hope the fear doesn’t discourage you completely from the genre. I think true empaths, like yourself, will have an extra challenge when it comes to scary movies (and also movies like Prisoners), but the added benefit of understanding/seeing both sincerity and intent of the characters. I think that’s why we gravitate towards your reactions. There’s an honesty there that feels clear and unambiguous, which we all want in a friend sitting next to us whilst watching a movie. 🙂✨👋🏻

Change # to #Ripley4President. Ripley Scott directed the first Alien. James Cameron ( he is Canadian like you) directed this one. Sigourney's character is Ellen Ripley. Just FYI.
