They skipped that stuff unnecessarily. They had plenty of time to add it in (and should've), but instead replaced it with pointless stuff too add in more romance. They absolutely butchered the eff out of this route. Which is a darn shame since it's the best one.

In the previous iterations the old man decided to just expectate cause he knew things were not in his favor. He knew Kirei had 2 servants, and that Caster had summoned her own and established her base in the temple. Thus, he just decided to wait. In this iteration however, he met Shirou and realized the relation he had with Sakura as well as his ignorance about the whole situation. This piece of information made him change his mind and participate to exploit...certain things that you will discover in the next movies

2022-07-30 16:55:19 +0000 UTCWow, this was a surprise - just after watching your UBW finale reaction we also get the first Heaven's Feel movie already! I think I like this adaptation the most out of the 3 Fate/Stay night animes, even though it still skips quite a bit of content from the Visual Novel (especially with Illya and Kirei), but I guess that's because of the limited time in 3 movies. On the flip side, the second movie has an original scene that I really like! The Fate route is still my favorite though (especially with Last Episode, that was so satisfying to read), I just like Saber too much :D Remember, the routes build off of each other. Heaven's Feel wouldn't be nearly as good without the foundation set by Fate and UBW. Indeed, in the Fate route, Shinji was killed by Illya/Berserker after the Rider vs. Saber fight on the skyscraper. Looking forward to the next installment!

2022-07-30 05:29:22 +0000 UTCSame. I played the original visual novel and this was my favorite route. I think it does a decent job adapting it. Wish they emphasized a few things more in depth but I guess that's the problem with limited time. Emiya theme banger tho
