Penelope (the fluffy spider girl) is a big shut in and really doesn't want to bother anyone. But if the internet gets a little screwy well that might be enough to get her out of her room/nest if only to check on what's going on.
Analog Horror Girl likes the warm fuzzy electromagnetic signals of the wi-fi. :p
And Nate is just trying to help.
