Just a little Mercy
Added 2020-03-09 10:35:51 +0000 UTCDespite just drawing this to show off to my niece the new drawing tablet, this came out pretty good, and pretty quickly. You might be able to see in the lineart, this is going back to using the pencils again. I think I'll switch back and forth between using the inking pen and using this sorta softer pencil lines.
I think the pen has a lot of uses when it comes to drawing details and backgrounds, so that objects appear with clarity and things aren't so muddy. However, that can actually work against me when I'm trying to create softer pinup figures. Soft less definitive edges can help a figure look rounder or more lifelike than a hard pen line can. A REALLY GOOD pen line can do that too. But I'm not quite there yet with pens.
