Is This Canon?

I just started watching One Piece and that's actually a pretty great show! It's... pretty different than a lot of shows. It literally looks at the rules of good story telling and throws them out the window. But that doesn't mean it ended up with something bad. It just sorta wears its emotions on its sleeves. It doesn't deal with subtlety. It rolls with an adventure and justice in a way you kinda wish more comic books simply did. Well before I get on a wide ranging rant...

I basically just used watching One Piece as an excuse to draw Colette as a Pirate canon. Again it's the "Gunmetal Colette" but with an actual cannon for an arm. If I were to get more detailed on this idea, I would try to figure out more how her "steampunk peg leg" and "cannon arm" would work. The truth is... they probably wouldn't! And it looks like firing that arm would send Colette flying from the deck!

Could be fun though...

Is This Canon? Is This Canon? Is This Canon? Is This Canon?

Looks like she ate the Gun Gun fruit, if that is what they would call it

It's certainly canon alright. It might be or not be cannon but it's canon.

POINTLESS HISTORICAL FACTS: The phrase "loose cannon" comes from the age of sail, where they were used on warships. They needed to be moved to be aimed or stowed, but otherwise had to be lashed down tightly or else any sort of rough sea would send them sliding around deck with potentially disastrous consequences. A ton of iron smashing into the hull is generally a bad thing after all. So in other words, yes pretty much. Also she needs to be tied down for everyone's safety.

if firing that arm sends Colette flying across the deck ... does this mean she's a *loose cannon*??
