The family tree of Odinâs household is really something else.
Even Dante, a transmigrator who had already seen countless absurd family dramas, felt the urge to give the old man a standing ovation.
Truly impressive.
After some careful calculation, Dante finally managed to piece together Odinâs family mess.
First, Odin married Jord, who represented primordial Earth, and they had Hela.
Then, after Jordâs death, the Asgardians formed a marriage alliance with the Vanir. Frigga of the Vanir married Odin as his second wife, becoming the current Queen.
Odin and Friggaâs first child, in everyoneâs eyesâincluding Helaâsâwas Thor.
But what no one knew was that Thor had an older biological sister. Same parents. And she had been abducted by Angel Queen Haven of the Angel Kingdom right after birth.
Havenâs original plan was to use Odinâs daughter as leverage to extort more benefits from him.
But at that time, Odin hadnât yet grown foolish enough to challenge the Celestials. He was still that aggressive, hot-tempered monarch.
Odin simply refused to be threatened. He stripped the entire Angel Kingdom from the World Tree. From then on, only the âNine Realmsâ remained.
After that came the usual script: imprisoning his eldest daughter, having Thor, and adopting Loki.
Odinâs plan at first might have been to sacrifice his child with Frigga.
But Angel Queen Haven, that shameless schemer, didnât kill the girl. She raised Angela instead, molding her into the deadliest warrior of the Angel Kingdom, while also instilling in her deep hatred toward Asgard and the Nine Realms.
Bad news: Angela was indeed brainwashed by Havenâs ideology.
Good news: the brainwashing wasnât complete. Angela always doubted her identity and Havenâs motives.
Angela had intended to ask a question after hearing Dante call her Lokiâs sister. But the moment her blade clashed with the Nightsword, she felt a terrifying power.
She dared not be distracted and had to resist with everything she had.
But on the other side of the portal, the woman who had thrown the Nightsword looked like she had done it with a casual flick.
Was the gap⌠really that wide?
Angelaâs confidence in Angel Queen Havenâs planâallying with Malekith to seize Asgardâwavered instantly.
She had thought Odinâs two sons were Asgardâs top-tier fighters, aside from Odin and Frigga.
But now, a monster like this appeared?
The intel Malekith and Laufey had given her was completely wrong!
Before she could curse her useless allies, she saw more people stepping out of the portal.
Angelaâs expression changed instantly.
So many more fighters, far beyond the reports?
The Midgard man who had just spoken might not have a divine body, but he carried the status of a God.
He was still human, but anyone tied to the word âGodâ was never simple.
And then there was that innocent-looking Hulk. Anyone with eyes could tell he was a powerhouse.
Even Agrim, the burly Dark Elf, looked small next to him.
âWho⌠are you?â
Angelaâs eyes locked on Hela at the very front.
It was her. She had thrown the sword.
The power of that strike had left Angelaâs hand trembling uncontrollably.
This woman was the strongest enemy she had ever faced.
âYou ask me?â Hela didnât bother looking at Thor or Loki. She stood in front of her two younger brothers without hesitation. âI am Hela, Goddess of Death of Asgard, Midgard King, Lord of Greed.â
Angela swallowed hard.
The Angel Kingdom hadnât erased records of Hela. Quite the opposite, they had detailed files about this terrifying foe.
When the Angels heard Odin had sealed Hela in Midgard, it had been a moment of collective celebration.
Who else but Odin would be foolish enough to cut off his own arm?
That was also why Queen Haven had agreed to ally with Malekith so quickly.
But how was Hela, who should still be sealed, standing here now?
And even more shocking⌠this Goddess, who had been imprisoned despite her service to Asgard, now stood protecting her brothers.
Could it be that Hela, Goddess of Death, was the kind whose family affection outweighed everything?
No. Angela wanted her revenge herself.
The way Hela shielded Thor and Loki made it clear: âOnly I get to bully you. No one else.â
And Helaâs appearance made two others exclaim.
âHela? Lorelei, am I seeing this right? Thatâs the legendary Goddess of Death!â
âSister, youâre not mistaken. That attire, those colors, the Nightsword⌠yes, itâs her!â
Lorelei answered calmly, gripping her ram-horned war hammer.
The Dark Elves and Frost Giants under her charm raised their weapons and charged at Hela.
Enchantress and Lorelei were only temporary allies with them. Their only real desire was to destroy Asgard.
âEnchantress. Lorelei.â Hela suddenly smiled, making Dante stiffen. âI remember a few thousand years ago, you two were once my warriors.â
Her words carried a hint of nostalgia.
Donât mistake Enchantress and Lorelei for pretty faces.
On the battlefield, even the Goddess of Death had to take a second look at their ruthlessness.
And now, her former subordinates stood against her.
âGoddess of Death, even if you return, what can you do? Asgard is finished!â Enchantress sneered.
She and Lorelei didnât have Angelaâs intel. They just craved freedom and chaos.
âTwo deserters. I have no interest in wasting words on you.â
Hela pouted. The sisters were indeed strong, among Asgardâs finest.
But their betrayal made them worthless.
âWe only despise the Odin familyâs conquest of the Nine Realms, then turning it into a new order,â Lorelei shouted, face flushing red. âWe donât need a commander who betrays our principles!â
Then she leapt onto the back of a charmed Frost Giant, charging straight at Hela.
âLooks like the only way youâll listen is through battle.â
Hela raised her hand, and the Star Team, including Dante, instantly tensed.
Although Dante was their leader, Helaâs training had long replaced their daily drills.
She could make them obey even more than he could.
Her devilâs training was carved into every one of them.
Even Coulsonâs team hadnât been spared. Hela trained them whenever she had free time.
And at her command, the team rushed forward like wild dogs off the leash.
Hulk didnât hesitate, charging straight at Agrim.
âBoom!â
Gamma fists slammed against Dark Elf strength.
Gamma power came out on top.
Agrimâs eyes widened in disbelief.
This Hulk⌠just how strong was he?
Stronger than Thor himself?
Agrim steadied himself and attacked again.
But Hulk looked at him, and the Red Lantern Ring lit up on his finger.
âWith blood and rage of crimson red,
Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead,
Together with our hellish hate,
Weâll burn you all, that is your fate!â
The Red Lantern oath poured from Hulkâs mouth. His fury and power spiked.
He caught Agrimâs strike, slammed him into the ground, then leapt high and crashed down like a meteor.
In seconds, Hulk was mounted on Agrim, pounding him mercilessly.
Enchantress shivered at the sight.
But her eyes flickered toward Hulk.
If she could enchant him, her ambition would be unstoppable.
Of course, that was just fantasy.
Not only was Hulkâs mental resistance ridiculous, but she and Lorelei had their hands full.
Scarlet magic shot through the air. Enchantress stiffened, her body betraying her.
Her head was forced forward.
A sorceress in dark red walked toward her.
âLet me introduce myself. Iâm Wanda Maximoff⌠and I am a sorceress.â
After the Storybrooke incident, Wandaâs control over Chaos Magic had skyrocketed.
And with Chthon gone, her heart was unshackled.
This rookie sorceress had already reached the ranks of the strongest.
âLet go of my sister!â
Lorelei leapt down from the Frost Giant, hammer ready, charging Wanda.
But a silver blur crossed her vision.
The war hammer was suddenly gone from her hand.
âYou women and your dangerous toys. Brutal.â Pietro muttered, trying to sound calm, but relief washed over him.
Thank god Loki had cast magic resistance on everyone. Otherwise, they wouldâve been screwed.
Loreleiâs voice almost made him feel something heâd never felt in his life.
But thinking of the possible consequences⌠Pietro shivered.
Being controlled was not a good time.
âHey Pietro, youâre not planning to go easy because sheâs hot, are you?â Harley teased while hacking Dark Elves beside Ada.
âNo! Absolutely not!â Pietro snapped back, terrified of Harley dragging him into one of her therapy sessions later.
He blurred again, war hammer in hand, and swung it down.
âCrack!â
âAh!â
A kneecap shattered. A scream echoed.
Angela heard it, but she no longer cared who screamed.
Because now, two Gods stood before her.
Hela. And the strange Midgard man standing close to her.
Sweat trickled down her face. She held her stance, butâŚ
They didnât attack. Instead, they whispered to each other, casting her strange, mocking glances.
Finally, when she could no longer bear it and prepared to charge, the man spoke.
âDear Angela, we rushed here and havenât introduced ourselves.â
âMy name is Dante Alighieri, from EarthâMidgard, as you call it.â
âAnd my other identity is the future husband of Hela.â
Dante stepped forward.
Angela instantly shifted to attack mode.
âWhat does that have to do with me? If you want to fight, then fight! Angels never fear death!â
âWhat are you talking about, Angela? How is this unrelated? You are my sister-in-law. You should call me brother-in-law! As the saying goes, a sister-in-law is half of her brother-in-lawâs..⌠Iâm joking! Hela, stop glaring at me like that!â
Angela froze, her nerves snapping under the weight of his words.
She stared blankly before finally stammering, âYou⌠what do you mean? Brother-in-law? Does that meanâŚâ
âThatâs right. You are Odinâs child. Hela is your older sister. Thor is your younger brother. Loki is your younger brother too. Especially Thor, the idiot who just threw himself in front of a sword for youâheâs your biological brother from the same parents.â
Dante didnât bother playing coy. Angela had already doubted her identity, so tearing down the facade was the best approach.
And clearly⌠she believed him, at least partly.
âAngel Queen⌠never told me.â
âOf course not. She stole you from your parents, used you to extort them, and then sharpened you into a blade aimed at Asgard.â
âI always suspected her⌠But how do I know youâre telling the truth?â
Dante only smiled and shook his head.
Then the Red, Orange, and Green Lantern Rings all lit up.
In an instant, tri-colored energy swept across half of Asgard.
Dante looked at the stunned Angela.
âIf you werenât my sister-in-law, youâd have been dead five minutes ago.â
