Added 2015-07-24 06:14:31 +0000 UTCSo; raffles aren't allowed on here. I had heard about it, but kept going, as I couldn't find the rule in the TOS, but I was finally linked to where it says so, and I would rather not risk it.
What does it mean for patrons? A few choices!
The first choice would be to keep the current raffle reward, but to turn the raffles into contests, making the results not random, thus not counting as gambling, thus being within the TOS of Patreon. Every beginning of the month, posts would be made for every tier to participate in a small contest if the patron so decides. The contests themselves would be pretty simple; from finding the cutest baby bird picture, to telling the worst pun you can think of. Nothing complicated: fair to everyone.
The second choice would be to totally remove what used to be raffles, and to give everyone a small reward, starting at $10+ patrons. It would be of a value less than the pledge, of course, as the pledge already comes with other rewards. For the milestone goals raffles, they would be turned into votes for personal pictures, of the value of the raffle prizes. I would suggest multiple ideas at the beginning of the month, and patrons would vote on the picture they would like to see drawn.
The third one? That's up to you: I'm open to suggestions! I really want to reward my patrons somehow, and I'd be happy to hear what you guys would like!
