Update on Collector Hero: Synthesis
Added 2024-09-01 03:59:58 +0000 UTCHey, friends and fans, just wanted to give you a quick update on the reason that there was no Collector Hero update this month.
I sat down to write the update 7 different times over the month of August and couldn't get a single word written. My Muse was looping all of my dislikes and complaints about the ending over and over again.
So much ruined from a Series that started off so amazing.
I should be able to update in September, but I think it's just too raw right now.
Thankfully, so much has changed in Collector, that I have long since told Canon to go fuck itself, so my Muse could very well be fueled by spite for that fic next month. lol
I'm not putting the story on hiatus or anything, this was just a, much needed, break from the Series.

And people will come here and say how wrong I am or I’m just a stupid head I am. I don’t care. This series didn’t disappointed me. I can see the flaws though. And I would never judge people or attack them for hating it. But my god what is wrong with you people saying just awful things to horikoshi. It’s completely unacceptable. And I get the ending want be in your taste but this guy when through hell to give this story to life and inspired many people. We wouldn’t have jjk because of mha. And saying I could write a better ending is just wrong. It just screams arrogance.

You have to ignore the 'haters' simply because there's always going to be people that don't like what you write, no matter what you write, and it's better to just toss out their opinions and focus on making the readers that enjoy your story happy.

Personally idgaf about how far someone stretches the original story. I read fanfics so that I can get an alternate story that is set in the same place as something be it Harry Potter, BNHA or Danmachi. Just ignore the haters and listen to the people who are giving you positive remarks my guy. 🫡🫡

I mean my expectations were low but holy fuck. Take as much of a break as you need, and remember, can(n)on are just those things Momo likes to create!

While being a teacher is a respected job in Japan, it's like saying "Yeah, after years of studying to become a neurosurgeon, I got a job as a computer programmer." Hell, just the fact it took EIGHT YEARS to get that suit because Hori once again pretended Momo doesn't exist. Girl with all the money AND the ability to make literally any non-living thing somehow can never seem to provide materials they need, which is also why Izuku went into the final battle with explicitly inferior equipment

So many authors seem to be more or less rage quitting their stories simply due to the ending and I just don't understand why that matters unless you were sticking to almost pure canon material in which case you suck as an author as you lack creativity lol

Like "OFA only existed to stop AFO so it's bad writing to let Izuku keep it" or "His friends totally didn't ghost him for years. He implied that he spoke to them on social media!" or "Well one child sorta recognized him so that means he's actually world famous!" Shit, just the fact that bitch boy had to completely retire for heroism because he's quirkless (because quirkless really does mean worthless) when we had fucking Knuckleduster in Vigilantes

2024-09-01 06:01:15 +0000 UTCi've had multiple stories that ended up going int directions that i disagreed with. sometimes i've put the series away once i finished it and never revisited it again, and sometimes i've just accepted that the writer was wrong and gone looking for fanfictions that got it right :P. i completely understand what you're feeling, and it will definitely clear up in time, take as long as you need to get comfortable advancing your story again

The fact that it took 8 years to make said suit when Momo is RIGHT THERE. Also, the fact that Izuk was apparently abandoned for 8 years to such a degree that people think he's just an urban legend. Dude basically saved the system of his country, only to then be abandoned by that same system AGAIN.

I understand that he was tired of it, but if he had any pride in his work, he should’ve just taken a break, or left it on hiatus. The fact that he ended it in such a shitty way with everything being contradictory to what both Deku, Uraraka, and the rest of the characters wanted just proves that he was lazy with it. He even stated that “it’s been falling apart for a while now”. That’s not an excuse, dig in and finish it correctly or leave it unfinished. I honestly would’ve rather seen Izuku sacrifice himself than this bullshit. Sorry if I went off on a tangent, but the ending pisses me off beyond belief considering this series has been my life for so long. I refuse to accept the canon ending, only fanfics are the truth to me now.

The MHA world is a fantastic sandbox to build stories into thanks to the power system much like Worm just without the overdone Eldritch BS in the background weighting it down.
