Hex, but from an alternate universe.
Added 2023-07-12 12:00:05 +0000 UTCI commissioned a few artists to draw concepts based on my specifications and descriptions, not just Ecchi. One such artists was Flem, who created these more elf-y concepts for Iris and Meila. I was initially drawn to Flem because I felt their art was unusual and striking. It's got a distinctive, western-style cartoon flare that I really like, and I think might have been suitable for Hex, though maybe a little darker in tone.
That said, while good, I don't think the art was super sexy, and that's a problem in a porn game. Keep in mind these are only colored sketches, and not indicative of what the final product could have looked like. My ideas did get translated quite faithfully, and I do still like the overall style.
Of course, I am super happy I went with Ecchi--he was really the only one for the job, the second I saw the first concept he drew for me, I knew he was right for this project. I think his art is really exceptional, and I really like the designs he came up with, especially the outfits! I also think Ecchi has a more "traditional" anime style, but he manages to draw the characters in a way that looks simultaneously very cute but also not SUSPICIOUS in the way that cute anime girls sometimes are--you know what I mean.
