As those of you who saw my recent journal on So Furry will know I have found out that a lot of recent pledges are not real, they are bots created so they can take content and post it publicly elsewhere. I always tried to not use Patreon as a paywall, with exception of stories I planned to release as books, everything posted here ends up posted publicly anyway. So the good news is most of the content they have posted I have posted elsewhere (after the patron exclusive time period). The bad news is that well some of that content was supposed to be kept for patrons or people who buy my books.

I see no point trying to take down publicly available stuff, it's out there now and I am ok with that. What I have done is disabled links to gdocs of draft documents/WIPs, Chapters of The Stable Boy novel and my most recent story Hunter's moon 2. I will be creating new documents for these tonight and sending new links(via the email address you signed up with) to those who have at least 1 payment that has gone through. My current thought is that is how I will work things for the future, I could get into password protected zips etc, but I honestly think I am a relatively little known furry creator and I doubt the people who have done this are going to spend a dime to get my content. I also don't want to go over the top, I really want to keep your enjoyment of my content at a maximum.

With that in mind I would appreciate your feedback on this, does it bother you? How would you like me to try and protect content? would you rather have no protection on stuff that will eventually be posted publicly anyway?
