Hi guys it's been a long time. I have to first apologize for the hiatus. I was dealing with a slew of personal and health problems. That only seemed to pile on one after the other. But now that I have somehow managed to get through them all. But now back to business. The next update will be coming out shortly it's going to be big.
I Arena fights
Enemy Fighters
Now you will be able to use your servant to fight in the arena for money, aka energy crystals which serve that purpose in demon society,
There are 6 fights available for now with each of the enemies with 3 stages. You need to make your servant ready for the fights. Since if you lose a fight the enemy will go to the next stage. Making the fight much tougher. If you win as a reward you can also choose if you wish for the fighter to move to the next stage.
The six fighters are:
Gutter rat - A rat demihuman is the weakest of the fighters, but do not underestimate her still at her final stage she can deliver quite a punch.
Minotaur - A cowgirl, she is stronger than the rat having double the rat's health and overall better stats. She also has a special move that can punch through almost anything.
Cat gladiator - a cat girl gladiator, unlike the previous two she is a professional fighter with experience. She may not be as tank as the minotaur but she has access to three special moves, that range from the simple but effective body slam to the more intricate kicks making liberal use of her powerful lower body.
Fairy Gulper - An insectoid monster that's known far and wide for its rarity and ability to shrug off almost any attack. This creature makes use of the damage rework I am implementing in the arena fight only for now. As her tankyness doesn't come from the amount of health she has but from her ability to increase her constitution during the fight.
Cyclops - She combines the tankiness surpasses the minotaur and strength equal to that of the cat gladiator. She uses her club do deliver devastating attacks.
Lamia - A snake girl, she is tanky in her own way. Where others make use of their constitution and their hp, she only uses her hp. Which also is used in her special move, where she constricts her opponent with her long snake body.
Though the fights the enemy figures also will use the generic muscle growth and basic attacks.
The arena was a bit of a mess for me, since I had at first wanted for the fights to be automatic. Where the player could only watch and bet on the outcome. While I was making it I had my doubts but I finished it and by the end, I completely convinced myself that It would be bad so I just deleted everything and started making it again making it so the player plays the fights for the servant. But once I was halfway done with making it I flipped once again back to making the fights automatic. And I once again deleted everything and remade everything automated. Every servant's special ability and also added so the player could use XP through the fight to heal their servant. That's when I made the Discord announcement and was almost about to publish. But then further irl problems happened so I couldn't complete the update fully. But two weeks ago once I actually had time I sat back down and tried out playing the fights and it was so rng. It wasn't helping also that you had a chance of losing your servant if she got defeated. And seeing only one option I completely reworked the system again and made it so the player plays for the servant.
2. Servants in the arena
Servants unlike the players as monsters do not possess mana, they instead use SP. SP, unlike mana, regenerates throughout the fight but its regeneration is based on the servant's proficiency with magic aka intelligence. SP recovers after every action the servant makes, only certain powerful abilities do not allow you to recover SP during the turn they are used.
Now every servant has her specialty:
Freia is a glass canon focusing on using her powerful spells to defeat the opponent quickly. Her special spells make use of both her intelligence and her charisma.
Rhea is now a proper tank, making use of her gray imp abilities where she can heal herself and deal damage based on her constitution. Which already provides her with quite a bit of tackiness. Her downside is her low amount of SP.
Themis is a strength-focused more well-rounded fighter. She is more tanky than Freia but deals her damage more slowly. She makes use of fire magic to give her attacks a bit more of an unf. She also suffers from a low amount of SP but not as badly as Rhea.
Eos is more of a jack of all trades where she may not excel at anything but is decent at everything. She may not be as tanky as Rhea or deal as much damage as Freia. But she also doesn't suffer from any of the drawbacks she has an ample amount of SP and enough HP not to be a glass cannon. Her actual biggest drawback is that she doesn't have any unique special ability. She instead has two abilities that the others have as their cheaper SP option.
Servant abilities
Each servant has access to four abilities two generic ones: Basic attack and demonic recovery. Demonic recovery is healing based on the servant's constitution. And two special abilities one that costs 5 SP and the other that costs 10 SP.
Freia has Arcane bolt (5SP) and Banshees wail (10SP)
Arcane Bolt uses Freia's intelligence as the damage bonus while Banshees Wail uses both her charisma and intelligence. The drawback of Banshees wail is that the turn it's used it doesn't allow the servant to recover SP.
Rhea has Body Slam (5 SP) and Blessing of Stone (10SP). They bought scale off Rhea's constitution. Blessing of Stone is a massive heal while Body Slam is a damaging ability that uses constitution as the bonus.
Themis has Fire Fist (5SP) and Duble strike (10 SP). They both use Themises' strength as a damage bonus.
Eos unlike the others has two before mentioned spells that cost 5SP
Arcane bolt and Fire fist.
II Re-done art
As I mentioned in the discord a bunch of character art has been re-done and some new art has been added.
In no particualr order:
Imp she has been re-done completely to fit with the lore and now has 4 sizes as well as her own game over scene.
Silver imp 3 sizes with her own custom game over art and scene.
Vampire has also received an update 3 sizes and a game-over scene without custom art for the game over.
Wood elf also got 4 sizes she also has a game over scene but no custom art for it.
Dark elf has gotten 3 sizes with custom art for her game over scene.
Cat girl has received 3 sizes without custom game over art.
Black imp 3 sizes and custom game over art and scene.
White imp 3 sizes with no custom art or game over scene.
Fox demihuman 3 sizes and custom game over art and scene.
Pink imp sisters from the game over scene during the pink imp fights now have art with their beginning sizes and once they sheared you.
Both of the huntresses and Jane have been re done.
The red imp enforcers have also received an update.
Red imp also received 3 sizes and a custom game over art and scene.
The guards at the gate also got a new look.
Themis also was redone.
III Story continues
This will be the last update that will be this linear. Since it will finish off the showcase of the small part of the city you now inhabit. You will once again meet some old friends and be plunged ever further into the mysterious nature of the city and its denizens.
IV Player ability changes
The player will now have access to more of the grimoire which will allow you to learn spells from two spells schools.
Three spells from the elemental school and three from the arcane school.
The elemental spells are all fire spells witch can deal significant amounts of damage but are less reliable than the arcane spells which have lower maximum damage but provide more consistent damage for less mana.
PLyaer damage has also been nerfed for his basic abilities where now they use the player stats as a bonus and not as the main source of damage.
V Whats coming next
The next update after this one will be reworking the player's enemy damage system and enemy stats. The XP system will also get reworked, it will allow you to focus on one stat through the use of skill points which you will get upon leveling up. Also, the whole battle ui will be redone making it look more like the arena fighting ui.
A new quest line will be opened up called The Grand Hunt. This quest line will come with its own interactive map of new locations.
NEW PROJECT:
Right before my hiatus, I started doing some work for a side project that is now still in its infancy but whose story I managed to fully write and plan out during my prolonged stay at the hospital. The story will take place in the same universe as Mass Hunters but will be more let's call it mundane.
Following a young man sent as reinforcements to guard on the more forgotten borders of human territory and his adventure
It will also show the first comprehensive map of the known world.
