love the pretty little liars-ness of the ending there😂 but yeah definitely agree maybe most people who don’t like this season didn’t give it a full chance to blossom

Secret Garden- Thank you once again for another fantastic reaction for a fabulous episode of Once Upon a Time, Travis! Overall... I really love this episode a lot!! At least for some of the characters' storylines! Just not quite for all. But overall... It is a fantastic episode! And I am so happy you're finally coming around to really enjoying this season, and to seeing it for its strong potential. You're absolutely right that not many fans of this show gave this season much of a chance. And it's so sad. Because in spite of its flaws, I still absolutely love it!!! First, in regards to the very ending where the doctor, known as Doctor Sage, is killed and stands of her hair are stolen... In no way is there an obvious storyline we are meant to try to figure out just yet. So don't try to think so hard about what this ending might mean. I can promise you it's really good. I assure you of that. And second, in regards to the chocolate bar you were asking about the significance of... We see this same brand of chocolate bar all throughout this show, from the very beginning back in season one. This chocolate bar first appears in season one's episode, titled... That Still Small Voice, when Henry takes a few chocolate bars into the mines with him. This chocolate bar is also seen multiple times throughout the Camelot arc in season five, as it is the same brand of chocolate bar that little Emma steals from a patron in the theater, when Merlin first appears to her to warn her about not pulling Excalibur from the stone. Lucy loves these chocolate bars as much as Henry does. And now, my absolute favorite moment within this episode is fairly brief, and yet... I absolutely love, love, love how Wish Hook comes after Zelena when she leaves the curio shop in defeat, and convinces her with so much passion to go back to the witches' curio shop to save Robin, by reminding her that a parents' love for their child is far more powerful than any magic!! I absolutely love, love, love this moment within this episode!!!! Wish Hook is devastated that he can't be with his own daughter, and has been ever since his own daughter had become trapped within the tower from the moment she was born, and more so since his heart has been poisoned by Gothel, and his devastation has only deepened over years, shown during his time with Killian and Emma shown back in this season's second episode, titled... A Pirate's Life, as well in season six's episode, titled... Tougher Than the Rest, when we see him as the fat old drunkard. Wish Hook has fought like hell to try to save Alice from the tower and for a way to cure his heart from Gothel's poison so that he can be with his daughter again. And so I just absolutely love how passionate Wish Hook is in this moment, as he helps Zelena so that she doesn't have to lose her daughter in a similar way to how he has lost his own. Especially not to Mother Gothel, whom he hates with every fiber of his being. This moment for Wish Hook, is one of my absolute favorite moments for Wish Hook throughout this season!! It's so beautiful. And the look of heartbreak in his eyes as he pleads with Zelena to hear him is absolutely beautiful and so heartbreaking. Now, with all of this being said... Robin is probably one of my least favorite of the newish characters shown in this season for a few reasons. But the main reason being... Because I can't stand how selfish and bratty she is towards Zelena throughout the majority of this episode, until the ending. After all, Zelena is only trying to do what is best for her daughter. Most likely, Zelena hasn't always gone about being her mother the right way, especially by refusing to help train Robin in her magic. But this is only because Zelena knows how magic helped to twist her and corrupt her back when she still had magic and when she was wicked. For many years, Zelena lived as the Wicked Witch and sought out magic to destroy all the wrong things. Until at last, she sacrificed her magic for good in order to help defeat the Black Fairy back in season six's episode, titled... Where Bluebirds Fly. Zelena's anger towards her daughter and her desire to learn magic in some ways may be unwarranted, but Robin's attitude in this episode towards her mother is most certainly unwarranted. And it just really makes me dislike her very much. I can only see her as a selfish brat who couldn't look past her own desire to become more powerful than her mother ever was, in order to see the love her mother has for her daughter until Zelena almost dies to save her. Yes... I know a part of her cruel attitude towards her mother comes from Robin being a teenager at this point in time. But it still annoys me. So much so, that I still continue to have trouble liking her throughout the rest of the season, more than I know I should. Her coldness and cruelty towards Zelena in this one episode, poisons any sympathy and real chance I should have had so that I could like her more. Which is the main reason why I am not a fan of Alice and Robin as a couple. I love Alice, but I can't stand Robin. And I especially hate it when Robin shuns Zelena and tells her to leave, while she takes her place at Gothel's side in hope that Mother Gothel would be the "mother" she wants. Thankfully, Wish Hook's pleas to Zelena helps her find the courage to continue fighting for her daughter, and both she and Wish Hook return to the curio shop to save Robin just in time, as Zelena shows her daughter true love by being willing to sacrifice her life for her daughter, as she forces Robin out of the witch symbol drawn across the floor and takes her place. I love this moment!! Because we see Zelena become more powerful than Mother Gothel, upon showing her daughter just how much she loves her, like Wish Hook encourages her to do. And then... In order to save her mother, upon finally seeing the truth, Robin rushes over to grab her bow and shoots the resurrection amulet from Mother Gothel's hand to stop its magic. And I do like how Robin states that she might not be much of a witch, but that she has a knack for archery like her father did. And with this... Both Gothel and Madame Leota vanish, after Wish Hook immediately charges forward to grab the resurrection amulet from the floor where it drops after Robin shoots it out of her hands, before Gothel can pick it up again. And I love this!! I also absolutely love the lines spoken between Wish Hook and Mother Gothel in their scenes together inside the curio shop. I love how Wish Hook continuously speaks to her of his daughter and of his disdain for how Gothel has treated Alice, and how she is now treating Robin too. All the while, Gothel snidely and cruelly taunts him, especially about their one nightstand together inside the tower. At last... Zelena and Robin are on the same side and together again, and they later have their moment to talk, and Robin gives up her magic within the amulet so that Zelena can regain her own magic. This was a sweet moment between them. I really like how all of this comes about, especially how Zelena comes to regain her magic again, without it being a corrupting force inside of her. But to back up a little... I also really love the conversation between Wish Hook and Zelena in the beginning, when Zelena leaves the courtyard to go after Gothel and to find her daughter, as Hook catches up to her and states he's coming with her despite Zelena's refusal to take his help. However, I have to say that I hate the nickname "Nook". It is definitely funny coming from Zelena. But beyond this, the name annoys me. Especially because now the fans of Once Upon a Time have come to take Nook as a more permanent name for his character. I don't know why this name annoys me, other than just never really being a fan of silly nicknames and ship names. And I suppose because I still just prefer to call him Wish Hook. Nonetheless... I love how Wish Hook convinces Zelena that he needs to come along for his own daughter's sake as well, in the hope of defeating Mother Gothel!! Now... They don't defeat her just yet, or find a way to help Wish Hook so he can be together again with Alice. However, they do succeed in stopping Gothel's current plans to resurrect Madame Leota by sacrificing Robin. Speaking of Madam Leota... In case you aren't sure where her character is from, Madam Leota comes from the Disney parks' Haunted Mansion attraction, as well as from the live action Disney movie, titled... The Haunted Mansion with Eddie Murphy. And while her role in this episode may be small, I do like the moments with her that we do see. She's an intriguing character for sure, and one I absolutely want to see more of. As for Victoria's, Ivy's, and Anastasia's storylines within Hyperion Heights... I really love the revelation that it had been Drizella's idea to unleash the lanterns in the hope they would help to guide their mother home to them. And I do like that this revelation is what finally helps Victoria to see just how wrong she has been to treat her younger daughter so cruelly, for so long. However, I can't really get behind Victoria's sudden turn around and her sudden willingness to sacrifice her life to save Ivy's. For many, many years, Lady Tremaine has treated Drizella horribly and was once even willing to sacrifice her younger daughter herself in order to reawaken Anastasia years earlier in the New Enchanted Forest, shown in the earlier episode this season, titled... Wake Up Call. And even early on in this episode as well. So, for this revelation to suddenly make so much of a change of heart in Victoria, who is seen to be selfish in every way, even towards her fight to save Anastasia... I just feel that her sudden change of heart doesn't really make much sense. Not to me. I mean... I do get that this revelation is meant to show us how much Drizella's efforts meant to Victoria, but... It just seems just a little too unbelievable to me. And yet... We come to the moment when Gothel poofs Ivy into the center of the symbol once again drawn on the floor where she's about to become a sacrifice so that Gothel can revive Lucy for Anastasia's sake. For reasons yet to be revealed to us as the show's viewers. However, Victoria does for Ivy, as Zelena does for Robin within the backstory. This is a nice parallel between the backstory and present day story. And unfortunately, this time Gothel succeeds and takes the resurrection amulet before she disappears, leaving Victoria to die within Ivy's arms. And once Weaver and Rogers appear too late, it's shown that Ivy is void of any emotion and doesn't know just what to feel. Then, upon seeing proof of there being what Rogers now finally believes is a cult that exists in Hyperion Heights, due to Weaver's lie to help him understand the dark magic and evil that's in Hyperion Heights the only way he can think of to help Rogers understand without Wish Hook being awake, Rogers is at last fully onboard with Weaver's belief that Eloise Gardener is certainly not the innocent girl he has believed her to be, and has really wanted her to be thanks to the part of Gothel's curse inflicting Rogers with his devotion to saving her instead of his own daughter he doesn't know exists. While I may not be fully onboard with Victoria's sudden change of heart towards Ivy, and I don't really feel too badly over Victoria's death, I do love that this moment has helped to strengthen Rogers' and Weaver's partnership and friendship that is slowly growing within the present day storyline. And I really love their scenes together. :) Now... At last, Lucy is awake again and Henry for now is safe as well. I was so glad when this part of the storyline was finally resolved and that the writers and creators didn't draw this storyline with Lucy being in a coma for the remainder of the season. Like I stated before... I don't really care much for this storyline, other than for the fact that it's meant to help Henry in his quest to believe again, which I do understand and appreciate. I just don't need to see Lucy in a coma and her parents mourning her any more than we have to. And this moment also brings about the revelation that proves Henry really is Lucy's true father, not Nick. Unfortunately, the doctor who sees the results from their blood tests, is suddenly poisoned and killed, and the results of the blood tests are taken by a mysterious character yet to be revealed. Not good. There is certainly more to come. :) Thank you so much once again, Travis! Until more Once Upon a Time... Sincerely, Heidi
