Life Updates

It has not been an easy few months for me. I have had to have my medications changed 5 times, even the ones I have been on years for cholesterol and blood pressure. Mainly because the interactions with the diabetes medications caused major issues.

I am so over the allergic reactions, blood sugar spikes followed by crashes ten minutes later only to repeat.

Not to mention the inability to stay awake or even concentrate fully on something.

The medications I am on now, are not working that well. Metformin is not an easy drug to tolerate and it really does not bring my blood sugars down below 140. My cholesterol is no where near where it needs to be, seeing it was 89 total before my body betrayed me.

I have gone from 175 pounds to 188, I am pretty sure I am holding fluid, which is not good for my heart or the rest of my body.

I see the doctor in 2 weeks and hopefully my insurance, which is really god for the most part, will finally relent and let him give me the medications he wanted so I can get my life back.

As much as I would like to promise that with the new chapter I posted, i am finally back, I can give no promises until me health stabilizes at a a better point. One that allows my brain to function properly.

Ron, just saw this post, and I can relate. I'm on Metformin + Trujeo(insulin glargine) + Soliqua (insulin glargine and lixisenatide) for diabetes + a ton of other meds for other issues like siezures, hand tremors (to the point I can't write) etc. I can feel your pain, and I wish you nothing but the best. As much as I want as many updates as can be done, I would much rather have you healthy so you can write more when you aren't swamped at work, and are good and healthy.

Has anyone heard from Ron in the last 5 months? This seems way too long to at least get an update from him on how he is doing. Hope someone can check to make sure he is doing OK.
