Zen Monastery - Animated Battlemap

Hey everyone!

We have a special free map for you today! An animated version of our fan favourite Zen Monastery map (with sounds too!).

All patrons can grab the zipped files here. They are available as:

The map is also available in our Foundry module with dynamic lighting setup. You can grab the link for that here.

Edit: now we also have an EncounterPlus version of the map with dynamic lighting. Get that here.

Right now this is a one-off map, but if people like it and want more, we're thinking of working with an animator to make more like this in future. Our current idea is to add animated maps to the $10 tier and run a monthly (or fortnightly) poll picking one variation from our map catalogue to animate next.

Let us know in the comments (or Discord) what you think of this idea!

We're curious about the following:

Zen Monastery - Animated Battlemap

Comments

Ambient audio should be SEPARATE from the map so that it can be mixed down as needed. Area based sound effects of course CAN be added just like walls and light sources. :)

James Long

1. This map is beautiful, would love to use more. 2. Probably not, this is sadly far out of my budget, I'm pushing it as it is in my situation, but that doesn't mean I don't think the creations aren't worth that much. Up to you as artists to weigh up premium costs versus how many can/will pay to maximise what you make from your hard work. 3. Depends on the cost, but in a perfect world probably 1 or 2 a month - I'd rather have consistent static maps than lose out on them if animated maps take a bit longer to produce. 4. & 6. Audio isn't needed and allows freedom, but perhaps you could provide or team up with another creator to produce suggested tracks to go with them. 7. Gridless is always preferred for VTT for me, DM can adjust as desired then! 8. Whatever works is fine tbh

Superwaffle

Are you interested in animated maps? YES. This is gorgeous. Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? $10 per pack may put it out of my budget, but if the quality was just heads and shoulders above other animated maps, I'd have a hard time not finding the budget. How many animated maps would you want to see per month? I'd love to see an animated version for each pack released. Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? I prefer pure video for my animated maps, so that I can control the audio. Or maybe backing music as an option? Same as above! Would you want gridded or gridless? Or both? I prefer gridless but both are probably very valuable! What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? WebM under 25mb works best for me. Fantastic first animated map! :)

There's a plug in called VTT Enhancement Suite that will let you run animated maps, and bypasses a fair few of roll20's limitations. That being said, in the long run Foundry is much cheaper (one time purchase, no sub - I've paid Roll20 hundreds and hundreds of dollars over the years, in the year I've used foundry I haven't had to pay a dime after the initial purchase. If you own content on DnD beyond it can be ported across as well, which saves the need for repurchasing things on Roll20 if you already own the beyond content) And Foundry isn't buggy in its current iteration, not sure the last time you used it @stephanie but it runs much, much smoother for my players than Roll20 did. Plus, I don't have to worry about the servers crashing on me during game night, which happened a lot on Roll20 with my old Friday / Saturday groups. The unofficial slogan of Foundry is "if something doesn't work the way you like, there's a mod for it" which is 100% true. Don't get me wrong, I supported Roll20 for years, and it's an easy way to get an online game set up if the DM doesn't want to spend a lot of time setting up everything how they like it ahead of time, but Roll20 is very feature light compared to pretty much every competitor in this space, and the speed of development has slowed down to a crawl over the last couple of years. I personally wouldn't be comfortable investing any more money into their ecosystem.

Wick

Yes! There are plugins for that - but every player needs to have it installed. @necxelos I disagree. Foundry is full of bugs and very clunky to use, also very expensive while Roll20 is free. I'll switch to Foundry only if they manage to fix their issues. It's unplayable for some of my players who can't afford a new PC or are not using Windows. We've been playing happily on Roll20 for years with no issues.

that is great! I noticed there is some sound built-in it, how did you set up that?

Raimondo Mancinelli

I don't think so. Roll20 is an ancient piece of software that's obsolete in every possible way. The only thing that keeps it going is the free tier but that's not gonna work forever. I suggest moving on to Foundry VTT or Fantasy Grounds Unity.

necxelos

Is there a way to make this compatible with Roll 20 ?

Love animated maps, and support other sites that do them. But at $10/map it would be a tough call.

Rob Cantermen

When I saw this map, I was immediately in love with it. I'd love if there were animation for the alternate versions too. Are you interested in animated maps? I'm interested in animated maps for sure as a special treat on occasion for players. Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? If each map pack was $10 I wouldn't be able to do it. :( A little too rich for my blood at this time. But I'd be willing to splurge for an occasional map if it's perfect. How many animated maps would you want to see per month? (1 or 2 or more) Ideally, one fully animated set with animated alternates would be really cool Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? I loved the audio on this one! Or maybe backing music as an option? Optional backing music would be interesting but I think most people who use music probably will have their own they prefer. Would you want gridded or gridless? Or both? I prefer gridded! What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? Whatever is compatible with Foundry VTT!

Are you interested in animated maps? Yes! Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? I'd have to dump some other Patreons :( Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? Pure video Or maybe backing music as an option? Optional music would be great! Would you want gridded or gridless? Or both? Gridless What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? Both for online or local play

Olaf Gradin

Amazing!

I play on Fantasy Grounds, which doesn't support animated maps. No interest at this point, but that's cool all the same.

Ben Dimick

Are you interested in animated maps? - Heck yes, this is gorgeous Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? - maybe! I back a number of artists and creators so it adds up fast, I have to be a bit choosy about whether I bump up to higher tiers. How many animated maps would you want to see per month? (1 or 2 or more) - depends on the cost I think, there would probably not be enough incentive for me to bump to 10$ per map if it were one animated map per month, but generally content-wise I think 1x/month is enough! Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? - I would absolutely love ambient audio as well, especially since I use Foundry Or maybe backing music as an option? - I prefer ambient over music, but either is great! Would you want gridded or gridless? Or both? - either What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? - Whatever would work in Foundry!

Ren

Are you interested in animated maps? Very much so Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? Possibly Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? Pure video Would you want gridded or gridless? Or both? Gridless preferably What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? Either MP4 or WebM I'm very excited to see you going in this direction, I was wishing for more animated maps last month.

It's so Zen, I can almost fall asleep in there! A brilliant marriage of visuals and sound.

MoFest

omg if you started doing animated maps - yes I would pay. I currently support other animated map creators but still use your maps because I love them so much more. I would drop them if I had too, to support you doing this.

Katrina Place

omg amaaaaaaaazing !

Kalin

Looks super cool and would be totally down for a costlier tier in order to support development of these. I use animated maps from other patreon accounts every week in all my games and I am beyond thrilled to have your beautiful art as animated options. Since I play online, .webm with just ambience is perfect.

Jan Duve

Awesome animation! A very good job, remember me Studio Ghibli movies, with all due respect to the master Miyazaki

Tehox

Incredible animation and amazing sound. You should definitely consider making more such animations in the future.

VitAnyaNaked

I think the jump to Foundry will definitely make using these a lot easier. I'm currently playing with the idea of having the ambience on the file but using Foundry's inbuilt system to mute the audio. That would solve having to render everything out twice.

Cze and Peku

Thanks for your feedback! I think we'll definitely be running polls and seeing what patrons would most like to see animated. Coral Throne and Hell's Tax Office both would be a lot of fun to see animated. Also the windmill from Windmill Farm. Those are the ones i'm hoping for. :)

Cze and Peku

Thanks for the feedback! As for the adventures, that's something we've been thinking about and working with some of our community on. We hope to be releasing our own adventures focusing on the maps sometime later this year.

Cze and Peku

I'm not sure if FG works with animated maps, i'll have to find that one out, it would be useful to know. As for our previous maps, that's probably unlikely to happen. Right now we could probably make 2 of these per month, but as we make 4 new map packs each month the animated maps will never catch up to the pace of the non-animated releases. Which is unfortunate but we can poll the community to find out which they want to see. Some of the maps would definitely work better than others being animated anyway.

Cze and Peku

The Let's Role guys are going to include this map in an upcoming video to show how animated maps works on their platform. So it'll definitely be possible to use these with that VTT.

Cze and Peku

Connection is definitely an issue. I think for TV setups that's mitigated but otherwise a quick internet and decent computer seems necessary.

Cze and Peku

No need to worry, we'll still be working towards 4 battlemaps each month. If we made animated maps like this, they would be handled by an animator we know, not ourselves. This would purely be extra content.

Cze and Peku

Looks really cool but I worry that this would mean fewer maps overall, for us no-frills GMs.

Marianne Rogers

Animated maps are great.

Eran Arbel

Yes!!!! Please do more! So cool to have this art style as an animated map ready to go for tv screen users like me! Awesome!

Andrew Wittenauer

I am absolutely interested in animated maps Yes I'd go to the 10$ tier Any amount of animated maps per month are fine by me! Fantastic work on this one. I'd like a video option with no background music with it being a potential option. Gridless pls! WebM.

Dante Tester

Are you interested in animated maps? HELLS YES Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? HELLS YES How many animated maps would you want to see per month? (1 or 2 or more) THE MORE THE MERRIER Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? AMBIENT Or maybe backing music as an option? I'D PREFER JUST AMBIENT, I TYPICALLY ADD MY OWN MUSIC TO GAMES Would you want gridded or gridless? Or both? BOTH What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? MP4 Any other ideas, thoughts, questions, proposals, brainstorms, send them over!

Einjuden

OMG OMG OMG please tell me this is the future of this Patreon! I am currently building a digital/vtt for games like D&D and I would LOVE to have animated versions of your maps for my games!

Einjuden

Looks sweet! I'm not sure I would use animated maps that often, though. I'll have to test it with my group, but I believe the constant movement might be distracting to some. Also, the animation might cause lagging for players with bad connections... I'll give it a go, if it works out for everyone, I might come back for more :)

AyuVince

Just backed Let's Role (and all my players did as well to get alpha access) and am planning on using it for my next seafaring campaign, so super excited to see the collaboration. Interested in animated maps, and would likely bump my tier if they seemed like maps I could use regularly. As for music, I play my own so it'd be welcome if it could be turned off when I hit the combat track. Cheers!

Kit Ortega

Are you interested in animated maps? Not yet but I will be later this year, have to get it sorted out first with the tech at our table. Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? Most likely How many animated maps would you want to see per month? (1 or 2 or more) Would love to see your previous map upgraded, its a lot of work but maybe add an animated version of all future maps and 1-2 more per month of your old maps upgraded? Maybe even a higher tier to move through the back list. Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? Video and Ambient sound would be great, I can add other audio to set the mood myself. Maybe a creepy track on top of the monastery to really confuse the group. Or maybe backing music as an option? Nah, no thanks. Would you want gridded or gridless? Or both? I prefer gridless but both have their uses. What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? Not sure what will work in Fantasy grounds, which is what we are using now.

Chris De Santo

Are you interested in animated maps? - Abso-freakin-lutely Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? - Depends I suppose. I think I'd have to really see to decide. How many animated maps would you want to see per month? (1 or 2 or more) - Ideally I'd like to see all the maps animated, as they are all gorgeous, but otherwise 2. Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? - Both. I'd like the option to have the audio and the option to not have the audio. Especially as a foundry addon. Or maybe backing music as an option? - don't think I'd choose a specific tier for music or ambients. Would you want gridded or gridless? Or both? - Both What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? - mp4 I think? I'm not a file wiz...whatever the normal is I suppose. Any other ideas, thoughts, questions, proposals, brainstorms, send them over! - Maybe craft adventures based off of maps and have another sub tier for that? Like theme a few maps in the month and have it be a short one-shot DnD adventure or something.

RealNerdyViking

Are you interested in animated maps? Yes. Many times over. This is amazing. Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? I would. How many animated maps would you want to see per month? Maybe 1-3? Honestly, if you only manage one per month, but it's amazing quality, I don't have a single problem with that. If you manage more, then I'm just extra happy and cheerful. Like, even more so if you can manage to animate multiple versions of the same map. Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? Both? But if one or the other, no ambient audio. People have their own tastes in musical / audio preference and it's always safer to go without. Or maybe backing music as an option? Again, what I said above. Would you want gridded or gridless? Preference of both options for just an indication of scale, but if it's one or the other, gridless. What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? Maybe multiple file types. If you can accommodate multiple systems, it would make your product even more desirable. For me, whatever works on most VTTs? Mp4 would also be good. Any other ideas, thoughts, questions, proposals, brainstorms, send them over! Maybe you could go back through your collection and let people vote for the map that they'd like the most to be animated? So even if one map is a new map, you also have an old map that you're upcycling into an animated one? Personally, I'm already imagining coral throne with a circling of sharks or sealife everywhere, swaying anemones and bubbles and omg, it would be amazing. I would cry.

reignarrows

I've had some feedback and yes it does work with Roll20. Some people have suggested the VES plugin but it seems it works natively too.

Cze and Peku

Are you interested in animated maps? yes Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? yes How many animated maps would you want to see per month? at least 1 would be nice Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? ambient audio would be nice, but the best would be an option for video without audio Or maybe backing music as an option? Would you want gridded or gridless? Or both? gridded or gridless with guidelines for intended scale What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? Webm, mp4 is bonus Any other ideas, thoughts, questions, proposals, brainstorms, send them over! Biggest resolution under 10MB for Roll20

Does this work with Roll20? I like how it looks and I'd definitely support more of this content as long as it is compatible with Roll20 and you guys still make a decent amount of normal maps.

It also works on Roll20 (just takes a long time to upload/process)

Have you tried redownloading it? There was an issue with it initially so we had to change something. If it still isn't working i'll take a look at it for you.

Cze and Peku

I am definitely interested in animated maps. SInce I run my DnD campaigns over the internet, any media that I can use to better convey the setting to my players is fantastic. I would totally jump up a tier to have access to more maps like this. And I'd love as many as I could get my hands on. The animation itself is what I'm interested it, so I wouldn't need/want audio. I tend to collect and splice together my own audio. I would want gridless. I find it easier to manage the grid itself through Foundry rather than as a part of the map. For my purposes, I'm streaming everything to other players over the internet. So WebM would be fantastic. Otherwise, I've recently been diving into the world of animations in Foundry. I used roll20 for years, but because it was an externally hosted system I couldn't use fancy assets since they were too large. Now that I'm hosting Foundry locally, what I can and can't use is based on my internet and my player's computers. I feel like starting to use animations in things like tokens, spells, attacks, torches, ect is the next step to further enhance the game for my players. And if I had access to animated maps... maps of the quality you make!?!??!.... omg that would be a game changer.

Travis Kehrli

Another roll20 user here. I sub to other patreons to get animated webms from them, but I'd definitely be interested in a new tier for this content from you.

Papa Steel

Hey Brian, I just did some testing. There was an issue with the pack file, so I re-uploaded the whole thing. If you re-install from Foundry using the manifest URL, it should work now!

Daniel Gonzales

honestly i'm in love with this, think i would jump up a tier for it

juryinhotpants

I experimented with this and I was able to get the webm file uploaded and running on Roll20. Uploading a 4.5MB file took nearly an hour (I have no idea why--my internet is quite speedy) but I let it do its thing and in the end, it works very well. Having seen this, now I very much would enjoy an animated tavern map that I could use as my lobby for when people connect to my game. I am currently using the Venerable Swordsman map from the Knotside City collection and animation would just take it to the next level. There is no question I would jump to the $10 tier for one of these per month.

Devin Brown

I love your maps, and I would love animated versions of them. Yes I would move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps. How many animated maps would you want to see per month? I'd like to see 2 maps per month. Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? Just Video Would you want gridded or gridless? I would want Gridless What file type would you want? I would want WEBM

Mat Brooks

Are you interested in animated maps? yes Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? yes How many animated maps would you want to see per month? 1 or 2, mainly if you think the map really benefits from it. Wouldnt expect you to force it. Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? I personally prefer minimal ambient audio Or maybe backing music as an option? definitely wouldn't want music on the video file Would you want gridded or gridless? gridless. nowadats VTTs do the grids for you What file type would you want? MP4 and WebM is fine. WebM is easier for players to load.

Chris Clarke

Are you interested in animated maps? Yes Would you move to the $10 tier to unlock animated maps? Yes How many animated maps would you want to see per month? (1 or 2 or more) 1-2 is fine Would you want ambient audio or just pure video? both Or maybe backing music as an option? yes, as separate Would you want gridded or gridless? Or both?I would prefer gridless as most VTT's can add it, the only reason I would want gridded would be if I was going to print, and that defeats the point of animated. What file type would you want? MP4? WebM? Other? WebM takes up less space when used for The Forge Any other ideas, thoughts, questions, proposals, brainstorms, send them over! Keep it up, great work.

I must agree with Ryan that whilst amazing I wouldn’t upgrade to £10 for them (for reference I’m a £5 patron because your maps are truly awesome and have inspired so many ideas for my game). If they were available as individual ‘boosts’ I might buy the occasional animated map that fits but I don’t know if that is something you can do on Patreon. Or if there is a +£1 per month option that includes animated maps I might upgrade to £6 but not to £10

JBWGamer4

I would absolutely move to a $10 tier for animated maps - brand new, but I've loved all the maps I've already downloaded. That said, opening this in Foundry (via the premade module for it) it seems to just be opening onto a blank gray backdrop? The walls and everything are in place, but in both the 4k and FHD versions, the background doesn't appear at all, and certainly isn't animated.

this is cool but I only use roll20

Thisjus10

Any support for roll20 users?

Not at all! That's just the sort of honest feedback we're looking for, thank you Ryan.

Cze and Peku

Extremely interested in animated maps! Already a Campaign Connoisseur and would love to see 2-3 animated maps a month (as creativity allows) We use Foundry so grids/gridless and audio backing is amazing as long as its toggleable, a posted above it needs to be .webm in order to avoid large load times for others virtually!

I'm all for it! This would definitely push me toward the $10 tier. As far as how many per month, it's hard to say... would be cool if all of them were animated, since the map packs are so different in theme. An animated foresty one (like this one) wouldn't be much help to me running Rime of the Frostmaiden or Descent into Avernus, for example. Ambient audio helps, but isn't a must-have for me. Backing music is a big maybe, it really depends on what it sounds like. As long as the animated map works in Roll20, I'd be happy with it.

Hope that didn't come off as rude... I felt my thought process would be helpful for you.

Ryan Glowczewski

This looks amazing, but would not get me to bump up to the $10 tier. I would have to be 100% certain that every animated map was one I would use to justify the additional cost. I'm willing to pay at the $5 tier for maps I likely won't use because they are gorgeous art and I like supporting you but $10 a pack ends up at $360 a year or $180 more then I'm currently spending.

Ryan Glowczewski

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE MY FAVORITE PATREON IS MAKING ANIMATED MAPS FINALLY!

Mohammad Malaekah

I think the primary use of these would be within VTTs so we'll probably stick to gridless so that people can use the inbuilt grid systems. Thanks for letting us know you'd be interested in upping your pledge. That helps us in our plans. :)

Cze and Peku

Yes please! DMing on TTS has made sessions and battles great, and the addition of animated maps makes it far and above impressive.

Thanks Matt! Hope you and your players enjoy it. If you have any feedback that'd be great.

Cze and Peku

I hope you get to use this one in person soon! Would love to know how it goes, hopefully your players love it.

Cze and Peku

Rly love that. it would offer for sure some better worth to move up to $10. aslong there is a gridless version im happy

Thanks for the feedback Thomas. The reason we suggested the $10 tier is the cost and time that goes into making these. Not sure if it'd be economically viable to release at lower tiers but I really appreciate your upfront honesty about that. Knowing who is serious about upgrading their pledge or not will make the decision process easier. We may end up running a poll for it.

Cze and Peku

Thanks John! Glad you like it. If you have any feedback after trying it out, let us know!

Cze and Peku

It would definitely take a long time to cover all of the maps. I think asking people to vote for a map (and variation) that they'd want to see animated and making 1 or 2 of those a month is the quickest we could go.

Cze and Peku

Ah this one has a webm version and also a Foundry module already set up with webm + dynamic lighting, we got you covered!

Cze and Peku

I've pointed out VES to everyone on the discord, thanks for the feedback!

Cze and Peku

That's from my assistant Dagonzo, i'll point that out to him!

Cze and Peku

I really love animated maps, they bring just that extra bit to your tabletop! Including it in the 10$ tier is probably for the best, though I am not sure if I would upgrade for just the animated maps... The necropolis map from last week was also stunning, really looking forward to the rest of the map(s)!!

Thomas

I imported the module version into foundry and activated it but I'm not seeing it in the compendium scenes section to import the scene. Am I missing something?

Brian Donovan

Hi Laura, thanks for the detailed feedback! I imagine TV setups will become easier once lockdowns are over and people are sitting around tables again, hopefully you can try it then! For the audio it is currently on by default but is mutable on the TV and should be mutable within Foundry.

Cze and Peku

Heads up the video showing the animated map in FVTT has some podcast audio in the background :p

Nope

Yes, but you and all your players need the VES enhancement sweet google chrome/firefox plugin

someOne whoIsntMe

YES! I already use this map in roll 20 and now I can use VES to run it animated THANK YOU!

someOne whoIsntMe

The Foundry link should be fixed now, it was pointing to the wrong location.

Cze and Peku

If anyone has advice and setting up an animated in Roll20, if even possible, please reply. I'd love to use this.

Julie Hopper

Seems neat. Would these work in Roll20 as animated maps?

Alex Duplessie

This absolutely awesome!

I love the idea of animated maps, although I don't have the setup for them now. I wouldn't change my pledge level at the moment, but I'd keep it in mind for the future, in case I do start using FoundryVTT or a TV setup (I hope to give one or both a try at some point). I LOVE the ambient audio. Can you turn it on and off in the map, already? If not, that would be a nice feature. Or the option to use it or not use it, like you suggest - I would definitely like that feature, to avoid it getting repetitive during a long combat, or in case it's hard to hear the players. (I'd also be excited if there were a way to use the audio even with non-animated maps)

Laura

This is amazing! I would absolutely love to see more of these.

Tentakill

It is pretty great, but I have never been able to make them work with my groups, at least partially because we tend to use Roll20.

caleb knoll

Love this. Love animated maps. IF you can optimize for Foundry (using Webm or other format) that would be awesome and I'd be able to use. Some other Patreons (Dynamic Dungeons, Animated Maps, Beneos) release beautiful 4k maps but they are unusable in VTT, and look terrible if I try to convert to webm or something more fvtt friend.

Dane Rickett

Thanks for the feedback. I think gridless seems to be way to go if you're using them in a VTT, not sure if that's different for people who stream straight for a media player.

Cze and Peku

This is so awesome y'all! Really love it. Not saying it needs to be every map. But I would love to see more. Your style + animation is so far my favorite combo of what I've seen out there

Thanks for pointing this out, let me get that fixed.

Cze and Peku

this... is.... AWESOME!!! thank you!

Matt

We included a full hd version and a 4K version, just in case 4K was too large.

Cze and Peku

The link to the Foundry module only downloads a javascript file from Dropbox.

Simon Fiasco

I LOVE this and I love animated maps. I haven't had trouble with them, though I've nver worked with extremely large files.

Sammo

This looks HOT but when I install it, I get a 404 on the webM - looks like the URL is set to /modules/czepeku-zen-monastery-animated/maps/Zen%20Monastery%204K.webm but the module is in czepeku-zen-garden-animated 😬

Neil de Carteret

Would definitely be an awesome $10 tier perk, though at least personally I'd definitely prefer them gridless (you can always add a grid yourself) and without music in the basic version. In any case, an awesome idea!

Mitsu

I would be very interested in you producing animated maps. Very interested indeed!

In person, these maps have always been awesome. Just plop them onto a flatscreen that we have and either use sticky notes as character markers or lay the old flatscreen on a table to play :) It's just so funny that this is the map that was animated, was just talking to a friend about the cherry blossom version of this map. Good stuff :)

Alfredo Gallardo

From what I've heard Roll20 is meant to be animation compliant but is generally very buggy. I'd be interested in seeing feedback from Roll20 users though!

Cze and Peku

Just to be clear, this wouldn't affect our map schedule at all. We would continue to work on 4 maps per month as usual. This would be an additional release for a high tier worked on by an animator, not ourselves.

Cze and Peku

I like the idea of these. Do they work with Roll20?

Devin Brown

I’ve never had luck with animated maps. I always have someone who is using a potato as a computer and have to turn them off. As much as I’d love them, I’d prefer you guys just crank out maps instead of focusing on a smaller number of animated maps.

Taylor

Our Patreon turned 2 years old at the beginning of February, so I suppose this is like an anniversary gift! A big thank you to all of our patrons for supporting our work and especially to the 14 patrons who have remained with us since our first week. <3
