I hope to get a few more videos out before the end of the month. Right now I have 10+ videos sitting on my harddrive...
I also just finished making 67g of mercuric chloride (HgCl2), which was interesting. I needed to make it to make 1-octen-3-ol a different way than I originally planned. I did make acrolein, but when I went to use it, it had all polymerized. I vowed never to make it again after the first time, so I am following the alternative method.
The alternative method is kind of cool though. It gives me an excuse to make aluminum isopropoxide and I get to carry out a Meerwein-Ponndorf-Verley Reduction, which should be interesting!

I think you would have some interest in the production and purification of penicillin, cephalosporin, erythromycin and tetracycline. These have been so important in the last hundred years and you might get the prepper community donatinf.
