Heya crew!

I hope you all had a great Halloween! I really wanted this Tape to be ready for you on the 31st, but the testing phase took longer than I expected. The good news is that everything is running smoothly now! 🥳

Here's the summary:

You never asked to be part of someone else's game. But when the developers of Mr. Killer —the hit dating sim that turns real tragedies into romance— used your family's story for content, your pain became their profit.

Now a killer wearing the Ghostface mask from the game's most popular chapter is hunting you and your friends, and your world is plunged into a real-life horror story. To survive, you must navigate a deadly game where the line between a slasher and a dating sim has blurred, and the killer's motives are more personal and possessive than you could ever imagine.

With a gun in your hand and the killer closing in, your choices determine your ending. Will you be the Final Girl, or will you choose the monster?

(Fun Fact: The original name I came up with for the serial killer dating sim in this Tape already exists in real life. And not only that, it has romanceable serial killers based on real people. So I had to change the fictional game's name inside my own game because reality beat me to it. Crazy stuff lol)

This month I got a bit ambitious and added more new things than I probably should have with the time we had. It led to some long work hours, but I am happy I didn’t cut anything out. I think you’ll have a lot of fun with it!

A new phone plug-in was added too. I did my best to adapt it, and while it is not perfect yet, I am still learning the code behind it. I might release a small patch later to improve it. Please let me know how it feels when you play. If the crew enjoys it, we can bring this mechanic into future Tapes too!

For the story, I did a full Scream movie marathon and tried to connect the narrative to the spirit of the films. I love how the franchise uses meta commentary about cinema, so I wanted to bring that energy but with a dating sim twist. Important note: the smut scene contains Dead Dove elements, so if you want to avoid that, do not let yourself get caught in the chase.
