Tutorials/Guides
Added 2019-08-29 23:24:21 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Presently I'm working on the latest comic chapter (some of which I'll share with you all shortly) but for my future reference, I thought I ought to ask what sorts of tutorials you might be interested in seeing.
If you have an opinion, feel free to pick more than one. I'll just use this to gauge relative interest. (Also, thanks in advance for your input!)

I want to learn old timey photo effects, as I was inspired to draw 1930s art thanks to Lackadaisy ^_^

2020-03-29 21:00:04 +0000 UTCText and scrollwork? The evenness and intricacy of even the decoration around your drawings always amazes me...

2019-09-05 05:23:11 +0000 UTCI struggle most with lighting/atmospheric lighting, and you do it so well. I'm excited for as much advice as you can share!

2019-09-01 00:25:05 +0000 UTCOkay. I wouldn't say my thoughts 'accurately' translate to paper, exactly...it always comes out different from what I initially envision. Still, that is definitely something I could talk about a bit in a guide/tutorial about Visual Storytelling. Thanks!

2019-08-31 23:18:16 +0000 UTCThanks very much - I'm glad you think so! I suppose I'm just a lot more insecure about my writing and less experienced in that area, so I'd feel a bit sheepish about presuming to try to teach anyone anything about it. I'll give some consideration to how I might talk about my approach, though, so that I could perhaps post a 'Thoughts On...' essay at some point. Thank you for commenting, Liina!

2019-08-31 23:16:22 +0000 UTCI'd love to see something about how you process getting your ideas into visual images accurately, if there's any tips you've picked up for making the mental translation process easier, and how you frame scenes. Sort of like mental cinematography.
2019-08-31 16:04:06 +0000 UTCI would really-really like to read something about writing. Anything, whatever it is you feel like sharing your opinions about. Your story is super gripping and nuanced, but you rarely seem to talk about this aspect of the comic.

2019-08-30 20:05:24 +0000 UTCI love sharing these with newer artist. They are a fantastic resource. I like to see them printed in a book. I would back that 100%

2019-08-30 17:06:40 +0000 UTCI'm always very much intrigued by your backgrounds and would love to know what tools you use for them and how you draw/render them!

2019-08-30 17:01:24 +0000 UTCI'd be very interested to learn how you go about color/palettes and how you integrate it in either character designs or a particular scene (example; such as the scene where Rocky is driving the pie truck in the rain at night). I'm aware that's quite a subjective thing but I imagine there's some rules about that too :)

2019-08-30 09:25:25 +0000 UTCHehe - I love drawing rooms full of stuff. It's easy to get lost in those details. I will add this one to my list of potential future tutorials. Thanks, Kazoodle!

2019-08-30 06:22:06 +0000 UTCAh, well, thanks Donald. That's kind of you! Both are hugely broad topics and I'm still learning, but I think I also might be able to share a little bit of useful information in those arenas.

2019-08-30 06:20:17 +0000 UTCI'm curious on how you do backgrounds and items/props that really makes the image pop to life :D. I'm learning backgrounds as I go and it would be neato deato to get some tips :3
