Consort of Destined Death Chapter 12
Added 2025-12-18 00:06:05 +0000 UTCIf there was one thing the Lands Between had going for it, it was the views. The lakes and forests of Liurnia could be viewed perfectly from his and Melina’s room within Caria Manor. The endless swampy landscape went on endlessly, with the Academy of Raya Lucaria appearing as only a tiny white dot where it could be seen off in the distance.
But it wasn’t the view of Liurnia that captured Harry’s attention then, but rather the beautiful finger maiden in front of him.
The brown waves of Melina’s hair framed her beautiful face, her singular golden eye looking at him in rapture as she breathed gently against his chin. Her body was bare before him, exposing breasts that were large in size as they moved with each heavy breath.
Her hands clung to him, hands that were scarred from past burns, intimately feeling up his muscled body as he pumped himself into her. This was the first time he had taken her in a bed within the confines of a proper bedroom. Most of the time it was on the dirty ground, or even in some abandoned ruin, with only a cushioning charm and blanket for comfort.
But finally they got to experience what it was like to be truly together in a private setting. No longer having to worry about some wild animal disturbing their intercourse, or even Millicent waking up in the middle of the night while they fucked quietly by the campfire.
PLAP PLAP PLAP
Her bum collided with his thighs over and over, his fingers digging into the plump flesh of her round rear as he moved her up and down. He savored the feeling, her warmth, her love, and the way it made his cock so fucking hard.
“Harry, Harry, Harry…” She repeated his name softly in reverence, all while her soaked core clung to his immense girth. Already, he had made her come undone so many times, and she was hardly the only one.
His balls were practically dry, having pumped out one immense load after the next since they began their lovemaking in earnest the night before. His seed had been spent everywhere, covering her mouth, her breasts, her face, and multiple times blasted straight into her desperate core. In return, she was soaked with her own arousal, creating a moistened layer around his cock that dripped out of her stuffed hole and onto the bed below.
“H-Harry! I-I’m going to~” She gasped, her golden eye going wide as her fingers dug into his back to steady herself.
“Not yet.” He got out through grit teeth, his voice coarse as it made her shake with its roughness. “I’m gonna… fill you up.”
“Agh! Oh my!” Melina shook at his dirtiness, her body falling against him without any strength left. She had always liked it when he was rough and commanding, using his power over her, demonstrating just how submissive his maiden truly was.
Her core squeezed him, all while she moaned wantonly against his ear in pleasure. That was when he gave in, his cock throbbing with intense heat as he expelled his final load into her waiting pussy.
“Fuck.” He breathed, his vision dark at the edges as he felt himself get enveloped in Melina’s warmth one last time, pulling out as their session finally coming to its satisfying end. “That was…”
“Incredible.” Melina breathed.
They fell down to the bed together, utterly spent as they felt the oncoming soreness that came after such a long marathon of sex. It was one of the best sensations Harry had ever experienced, laying in a comfortable bed with his maiden, located in a Manor in a distant land. The only bad part was that it eventually came to an end, as they couldn’t lay in bed forever, else they would miss the oncoming celebration.
“We should get ready.” Melina spoke after a while, voicing his unwanted thoughts.
She stood and began donning her normal robes, which the servants of Caria Manor had been kind enough to wash for her since they arrived at Ranni’s family home. As for Harry, he still had his own Hogwarts robes to wear, which were currently a crumpled mess in the corner of their room.
I really need to get some new robes. Maybe armor too. It was something he had told himself repeatedly since his arrival in the Lands Between. Trudging across an entire continent simply wasn’t the best idea while wearing Hogwarts robes, especially when he would have to fight even stronger enemies in the future. He would have to look around later and see if Caria Manor had any amor he could purchase.
“You sure I don’t have to dress up for this?”
Melina smiled faintly. “What you would find acceptable for attire in the Lands Between is not the same as what you’re used to. The first Elden Lord, Godfrey, was rarely seen outside of his armor, even when attending court in Leyndell.”
“Still, just seems wrong not to get dressed up to see a princess.” Harry shrugged, buttoning up his undershirt before grabbing his Gryffindor tie.
/////
He looked up to see the golden branches of the Erdtree lighting up the night sky overhead, and beyond that were the stars which the Carian Royals were so fond of. The celebration was being held outside, in a large courtyard located in the upper part of the Manor.
A large circular basin of water, with said water being a few centimeters deep, stood at the center, with dozens of ornate wooden chairs lining its edge. Himself, Melina, and Millicent were not the first to arrive, as multiple armored and robed individuals of all shapes and sizes roamed the area.
In fact, some of the party’s attendees were of a different race entirely. Harry even spotted a dragon with dark scales and spikes dozing lazily in the corner, clearly tame and likely intelligent, as Melina had informed him that some dragons could even transform into human-like forms if they so wished.
It was fitting then, that Harry just so happened to interact with one of the party’s stranger attendees first.
A troll sat off to one side, wearing a strange helm made up of mirrors, which turned to look down at him as he approached. “Hmm? A tarnished, it seems. I am Iji, blacksmith of the Carian Royal Family, and War Councilor to Princess Ranni. An old codger who refuses to retire his hammer, but is still able to work the forge. Perhaps you’d like to hand over your arms?”
“I think I’m all set.” Harry kept himself composed, having not spoken to a troll before. They were similar to the giants he had read about in his own world, but he didn’t know much beyond that. “But if I need help with my weapons, then I’ll be sure to come see you.”
Iji nodded, as Harry turned back to the crowd. Millicent and Melina had gone their own way, and he made to go find them when someone stepped in his path.
A robed man in a mask stood before him then, eyeing him in a way that made his hairs stand on edge. “I see… You must be Ranni’s new plaything.”
His voice was pompous and laced with arrogance, and Harry had to work to keep the irritation off his face. “Actually, I’m Ha—”
“Yes, yes, I’ve heard all about you.” The robed man waved a dismissive hand, cutting him off. “I am Seluvis, preceptor in the sorcerous arts. I don’t know what the mistress sees in a provincial Tarnished like you, but since we have the misfortune of being acquainted with the same Lady, I ask that you kindly try not to drag us all down with you. That mutt and rot-breed are already bad enough, and a Tarnished only makes things worse.”
Look’s like I found the Lands Between version of Snape. Harry’s brow twitched in annoyance as the preceptor strutted away pompously. So far this gathering is off to a mediocre start.
“Tough time with Seluvis?” Harry turned to see Blaidd looking down at him, having made his way over and likely heard his conversation. The half-man, half-wolf, was wearing the same outfit as before, not bothering to change out of his armor for something more formal.
“Is he always so…”
“Rude? A pain in the arse?” Blaidd huffed, giving his cup of ale a swig. “He won’t let me near him, insisting that I have bad breath.”
“Why is he kept around then?” Even to him, Seluvis reeked of someone who lived in lies and deception. He would never trust such a man like that, and had to wonder why Ranni would bother keeping him around.
“He’s quite skilled. Better he stay loyal to the Carian Royals than to somebody else. Why, I can only imagine what it would be like if Godrick got a hold of him.” Blaidd answered with a grimace, before gesturing across the room. “But you can always ask Ranni yourself. She’s been wanting to have an audience with you.”
He followed Blaidd’s gaze, and finally laid eyes on Ranni for himself. She sat on one of the chairs at the edge of the shallow basin, wearing the same white dress as before with the same outrageously huge witch’s hat that went with it.
It had been a long time since he had first interacted with Ranni, being only after he first arrived in Limgrave. She had deceived him then, calling herself ‘Renna’, but had since gone on to invite him to her Manor for this festival she had organized. As for what she was truly was after? Harry had no idea.
She saw him approach, her lip quirking upwards as both her normal and spectral eye watched him. “Harry Potter, it seems the stars hast brought us together once again. Thou was courteous to accept mine invitation. Some might even say foolish…”
“It wasn’t too far out of the way to get here.” Harry shrugged. “Besides, you’ve helped me quite a lot by lending me Torrent, and the least I could do was pay you a visit.”
“It pleaseth me to see Torrent hale and hearty.” Ranni smiled. “It seems thy spectral steed hath found himself quite the ruffian, a Tarnished journeying to become Elden Lord?”
“I wouldn’t say that, for now we’re heading north to find Millicent’s… Mother.” He answered awkwardly, pausing at the end as he didn’t know what Ranni’s reaction would be to that news.
Ranni’s gaze sharpened. “My dreaded sister, Malenia the Severed.”
“Yes, her.” He swallowed thickly. “By chance, do you know where she is?”
Ranni was quiet for a long moment before she answered, intently studying him all the while. “She is north of the Altus Plateau, beyond the mountaintops and deep within the secret Haligtree.”
“The Haligtree?”
“Not even I hath been there.” The blue witch answered. “A creation of Miquella the Kind, before his disappearance. A city in all but name, built upon a tree to rival the Erdtree in its splendor.”
“So look for a giant tree north of the mountains?” How hard can it be to find something like that?
“Sadly, thy quest is destined to end in failure.” Ranni suddenly stated. “To my knowledge, the Mountaintops are only accessible through Leyndell, a city that will soon come under siege.”
He blinked. “Under siege?”
“Indeed, mine foolish brother, Rykard, hath descended upon the capital with his army once again.” Ranni’s expression showed distaste. “Blasphemers and bandits, the lot of them. Thou will never achieve thy goal with thy current minuscule strength. Meager sorceries can only get one so far, but will not be enough for thou to get to the Haligtree unscathed.”
Millicent and Melina had made their way over as they talked, listening at his sides while he spoke with Ranni. But Millicent wasn’t content with staying quiet then, her voice laced with frustration as she butted in. “There has to be a way to get there.”
Nobody spoke for a long moment, before Ranni gestured with a hand to a nearby guard. A Carian knight soon came over, a covered wrapping carried in his arms.
“A gift for thee.” Ranni said simply.
The cover was pulled away, and Harry’s eyes widened at the sight that was unveiled. A golden prosthetic arm greeted them first, finely crafted and similar in style to that of Malenia’s own. Next to it sat an innocuous bell, and Harry guessed that it was enchanted in some way.
“The Valkyrie’s prosthesis.” Ranni said, as Millicent took up the golden arm with wide-eyed shock. “And the spirit calling bell, capable of calling spirits to thy aide.”
He picked up the bell, instantly knowing that there was more to it than it seemed. “This is… very generous of you. Thank you, Ranni.”
It might’ve been a trick of the moonlight, but he could’ve sworn that Ranni’s blue cheeks reddened in a slight blush. He blinked and rubbed his eyes, wondering if he was seeing things. In the background, he heard Blaidd let out a slight chuckle.
“I ask that thou stay at Caria Manor for a time, and learn more sorceries before thy departure. To ensure thy safety, of course.” Ranni continued, before a certain glint entered her gaze. “And I also ask thou to consider entering into my service.”
“Your service?” Harry repeated.
“Aye.” Ranni nodded. “I would expect good service from thee, especially when it is a Tarnished, such as thyself.”
“I’ll… consider it.” He settled on saying, not wanting to outright turn her down. Even if it didn’t seem like much to her, the witch had been tremendously kind and generous to him. She had even given Millicent a new arm, which she would have to learn to use, as well as offering him lessons in glintstone sorceries. “But I will accept your offer to stay here and learn.”
“Harry.” Melina whispered cautiously, touching his side.
“It’s better if we train before heading straight to the Altus Plateau, especially if there’s a war going on up there.” He rationalized his decision, knowing that learning more magic and training would be especially difficult in the middle of a war zone. “Besides, learning new magic is something I don’t want to turn down.”
“As long as you’re cautious.” Her eyes went to Millicent as well. “Both of you.”
Their discussion with Ranni soon came to an end, and with it, Millicent had grasped his arm and was practically dragging him across the courtyard excitably. “Harry, you need to meet this giant dog I met!”
A massive turtle stood before him then, with a cardinal’s hat sitting primly on its head. The creature looked at him with kind, intelligent eyes. “Is this the Tarnished you were telling me about, Lady Millicent?”
“Yep!”
“I am Miriel, Steward of the sacred Church of Vows.” The turtle introduced itself.
“…Harry Potter.” He managed to get out, feeling as if his mind would finally break. A giant talking turtle! “And, um— What’s the Church of Vows?”
“It was where the Houses of the Erdtree and the Moon were joined. Where Princess Ranni’s Mother, Queen Rennala of the Full Moon, and Radagon of the Golden Order, were formally brought together.”
As Miriel spoke, the turtle turned its head to look across the room at one of the party’s attendees. Harry followed its gaze, only for his eyes to widen comically at the sight that greeted him. The largest woman he had ever seen—even bigger than Madame Maxime, Headmistress of Beauxbatons—sat at the edge of the crowd. She wore formal academic robes while cradling a strange amber rock, all while surrounded by Carian Knights as to ensure her safety.
“S-So that is Queen Rennala?” He inquired carefully.
“It is. Do you wish to know more of Lady Rennala?” At his nod, Miriel continued. “She is Queen, head of the Carian royal family, and governor of the Academy of Raya Lucaria. The great and beautiful Full Moon Witch. Sadly, her heart was broken when Lord Radagon left her to join Queen Marika and become Elden Lord.”
“Why?” Surprisingly, it was Millicent who spoke. Both himself and Miriel looked at the redhead, to see she looked angry at the injustice of the situation. “Why would he do such a thing?”
“We can only speculate about Lord Radagon’s action.” Miriel sighed tiredly, clearly having discussed or pondered the depressing topic at length. “In the end, Lady Rennala was left alone, cradling the amber egg Lord Radagon bequeathed her. As for Lord Radagon, he went on to have several children with Queen Marika, including with the twin prodigies, Prince Miquella and Princess Malenia.”
“Who are half-siblings to Ranni.” Harry finished, earning a nod from the large turtle.
It was later in the evening when Harry was slowly making his way through the party’s attendees. He somehow found himself standing in front of the giant woman that was Ranni’s Mother on accident.
She noticed him, looking up from her egg, all while Harry kept his expression carefully guarded. Supposedly, Queen Rennala was a powerful woman, and clearly someone Ranni valued highly for her to be here. He didn’t want to give her a bad first impression, especially if her emotional state was as fragile as everyone said.
“Ah, thou…” Queen Rennala trailed off, looking at him as if truly not seeing him. “Is it thy wish to be born anew? And become a sweeting, reborn of my beloved egg?”
She’s barmy! Harry mentally exclaimed, realizing that it might’ve been a mistake to approach the woman. “Err… I think I’m good, my Lady.”
He backed away slowly, hoping she would forget he was there and ignore him. But sadly, fate had other plans in mind.
“Wait, Tarnished.” The words made him stop cold, and he looked up to see Queen Rennala staring down at him with sharp, intelligent eyes, unlike before. Something’s changed, why is she… “What interest doth thou hath in mine daughter?”
He swallowed cautiously. “We’re um, Friends?”
Smooth, Potter. He heard a voice that sounded suspiciously like Daphne’s in his mind.
She studied him closely, and seemed to come to a decision before she spoke next. “Wouldst thou take her as thy consort? And usher in the Dark Moon upon thy ascendancy to Elden Lord?”
He blinked. Did she just ask me to marry Ranni? “I’m not sure.”
“Hmm.” Rennala hummed, before her expression softened as she hugged her amber egg once again. “I wouldst have liked to see my sister one last time.”

The comparison between Severus and Seluvis is so accurate lol. Would love to see a romance scene during Harry's training where Ranni drapes herself over his back like Miquella and Radahn. Also is Rennala talking about Rellana or the mysterious 3rd sister?
