"I was a young tinkerer in my village, we lived happily and in peace, but then mages came and slaughtered everyone in town for the ores we mined. I watched my father die in front of me. Now I use my brilliant mind in pursuit of vengeance, and to create a world where an ordinary person can fight back against the powerful." Take out her tendency to ally with monsters to progress her own plans and Anna could easily fit into any heroic campaign.
