When this is over, we're going to need a super cut of all your Claudia moments, each one slightly faster than the last. I predict that by the end of her arc she'll have you swearing in Latin, and you don't even speak Latin (as far as I know...)

2025-03-11 01:53:14 +0000 UTCI actually really like how Terry and Claudia were handled in the climax of this episode. For a lot of the season we're sitting there like "why the HELL is this Earthblood elf okay with her dark magic?" In the end, it's because Terry knows that Claudia's loyalty to her family comes before anything else, and he can respect that. Every bad choice, every dark magic spell she's cast has been for the sake of saving her father. But tricking Rayla and keeping the coins wasn't done for Viren. It was done out of malice and spite for Rayla, so Terry calls her out on it. And interestingly enough, it is BECAUSE Terry called her out that Claudia went back and gave Rayla the coins. It's the bare minimum, don't get me wrong, yet it drives home that Terry is the last tether to Claudia's morality. Doing questionable/immoral things for loved ones is tentatively 'okay' in Terry's eyes (he did kill Ibis after all though it came with a lot of emotional turmoil for him) - but being mean for the sake of being mean is NOT something he can stand by and watch

2025-03-11 00:39:50 +0000 UTCInteresting perspective you brought up there actually. The more realistic you make your villains, the more annoying they can come off as...since they hit closer to home. I guess that's why people like over the top world-conquering bad guys over common bullies in media. Also, totally agree on the use of the word 'but' means that anything said before that becomes irrelevant. So many people use lines like "I'm not homophobic, but..." or "I'm not racist, but..." and well...it's annoying.

2025-03-10 23:13:09 +0000 UTCSo many good things are coming! Yes yes, practically Rayla’s whole family is in those dang coins… time will tell if she can free them. It’s fun seeing how this show is getting you worked up! So many of the these issues discussed are so tangible and real that it’s hard not to get frustrated along with the characters. As others have said, it gets better from here and oh boy they are not wrong. Some of the best moments of the whole series are coming very soon! The first episode of season 5 is one of my favorites of the season, might be because I had the pleasure of watching it for the first time at SDCC 2023 with the creators and a room full of fans. Looking forward to your reaction!
