As both a Keyleth lover and Vex lover (and an enjoyer of both their campaign and show dynamics) I have to discuss my girl Vex here. Vex has always been someone who prefers keeping her feelings close to the chest, and the way she handles her bonds (not just Kiki but most of Vox Machina including Vax sometimes) is reflective of that. Because of her own experiences of life (that we will not dig into as the show has not) she doesn’t let people too close so they never get the chance to really see her and therefore really truly hurt her. BUT she literally cannot help but care about Vox Machina more than she planned even if she tries to keep them at a reasonable length. She does care about them and that scares the shit outta her because that also means that it will hurt if she loses them, so she acts out in ways to keep them separate from her heart while also fighting her hardest to make sure she doesn’t lose them. And then there is the added layer of her insecurity of Vax leaving her for Keyleth. She’s afraid the one stable relationship she’s had her whole life will end because her brother has fallen for Keyleth (we all know that won’t happen, but the mortal mind rarely thinks rationally in these sorts of cases). And Vex knows how easily loveable Kiki can be, how easy it is for someone like her brother to love someone like her, so with that added layer of complication alongside Vex’s already existing fears of being left alone and the equal parts of herself that wants Keyleth to prove herself worthy (of her brother, of her respect, in general) she pushes at Keyleth the most.
And the kicker of all of that, is that Vex and Keyleth actually trust one another and work extremely well with eachother in combat and excluding scenes that usually include or revolve around Vax, they get along well enough outside it as well. But imagine you’ve tried your hardest to shield your own heart from the pain of potential loss of these idiots that you never thought you would care about could cause, specifically pushing Kiki away the furthest with insecurity filled remarks, and then watching that same girl take whats essentially a life ending bullet for you? Forcing you to confront how deeply you actually care but the reality that your fears have seemingly been founded and the last thing you ever said to them would have been reprimanding or mocking cuz you were too afraid to have a proper bond with her… and now you might not ever get the chance to change that.

And Vex (at this point in the story) has ,,issues" with Keyleth. It stems from one ,,thorn" in-particular, but we'll get to that when its time.

my favorite ep from season 1 because my girl keyleth showed how powerful she is. She's been my favorite since I watched the campaign.
also, while vex might be the most critical of Keyleth, if you notice, they team up and work tgether probably the most out of vox machina. Vex knows how capable keyleth is and how well they work together. it's just an interesting part of their relationship that most people don't realize

I think Elijah dislikes Delilah nearly as much as Laura does 😂

One of the funnest parts of any TTRPG is the role-play aspect, it allows people to act their asses off, so step back and let Taliesin act his ass off and be as dramatic as possible because he’s fucking amazing.

It would be red, blue, and yellow as the primary colours for comics and print, but as you say, the villain were typically using the secondary colours of green, purple, and orange to have a distinct colour palette against the heroes. Spider-Man's rogues gallery in particular shows this.

Speaking of cliffhangers. Would her reaction to a certain Season 2 one will be similar to Mosco's?

That hoodie design is so so cute! But importantly, how comfy is it? Also this show has been a lot of fun, I hope more people make shows (or comics) based on their DnD sessions
Also this episode was incredible. I really love that multiple characters got really awesome moments. I think my faves this episode were Grog, Scanlan, and Keyleth, but Pike was pretty close too. But man, Grog finally resisting the hypnosis and thinking to wildly swing so Sylas would have a harder time dodging was honestly brilliant. Scanlan picking up the silence spell and pulling an uno reverse was great, and Keyleth is my favourite so any time she shows off incredible power is a win.

So one of the reasons green is often used for evil stuff in comics and animated movies and shows is because of the color opposing the more heroic colors of red and blue. On the page colors are a blending of red, green and blue, hence why we refer to multiple colored lighting as RGB lights. Red and blue are the colors typically used for the heroes to make them stand out. Think Superman or Spider-Man. Those colors pop and draw the eyes. Green is their opposite and so the villains typically have a green color scheme as visual shorthand to show they oppose the heroes

1. Delilah isn't a vampire herself, she's a sorceress/necromancer
2. Vax WAS going after Keyleth, but Vex intercepted him and pushed him off the stairs to fight him herself
3. The Sun Tree was planted by one of the primary gods, the Dawnfather, so it's easy to see how it could have some divine elements to it!
4. As Pike mentioned in the previous episode if she breaks the connection with her astral form there's a chance she wouldn't be able to come back.
Definitely check out the "Table to Screen" videos for side by side comparisons between the campaign and the show!

“Fuck you, you spinning ball!” That sounds really weird out of context. But totally in line with how we Critters feel with each cliffhanger. 🤣
