Yes I can definitely see it, she looked so happy, proud and calm with the reveal that it was definitely a reaction of someone who plays the role of a motherly figure. Actually when watching I only saw it from Sayoko's perspective, but now that you mention it, you're right, Lelouch deciding to show her that's it was him, carries even a bigger meaning, how he sees and trust her. Really nice touch
2022-09-04 21:43:30 +0000 UTCThe more i rewatch Code Geass, the more i remember how i appreciate Sayoko as a person. The trust that Lelouch have for Sayoko is just so wholesome ❤️. It's very bold for me to think of it, but i think Sayoko now is something like mother figure/auntie for Lelouch and Nunnally. For Lelouch i think during his life in Ashford Academy after some years, even before first episode Sayoko already become part of his family. I think her kind and honest care for Lelouch and Nunnally helped them avoid empty feeling of loneliness after lost of their own mother. Because she always willingly will be by Lelouch and Nunnally side. No wonder why after Lelouch find out that Sayoko join Black Knights he revealed himself to her basically immediately after he saw her again. Because he knows that she deserves know the truth more than any other person in BK
