Happy Monday and happy Labor Day! Goodbye summer and hello page 18 of Feral and the Ghost Skater: Damaged!
During the production of this page I got my Cintiq hooked up to my desktop computer at the shop. For those who don't know, a Cintiq is a drawing tablet that's been on the market for a few years now... long enough to get a decent one used for a good price (they were initially thousands of dollars). The difference between the Cintiq and the standard drawing tablet is that instead of using a stylus on a pad/tablet and depending on hand/eye co-ordination to draw on the screen, you actually have a screen on the drawing surface of the tablet, so you are drawing on the screen/artwork and boy does it go faster. For instance, I colored the bottom left panel with the old tablet, and it took over an hour. I colored the ones to the right of it with the Cintiq, and it went at least twice as fast. Lettering is so much easier too, and drawing as well... so I may end up doing every step of the process digitally now.
We shall see ;)
BTW, I moved some of the lyrics from pg. 17 to this page, so that the flow was timed a bit better.
