So off topic but have yall done a recent poll to see who has or hasn’t seen OP before? That’d be so interesting (as someone who’s caught up in the manga)

2025-10-23 08:15:31 +0000 UTCDoffy's fixation with Law is really fascinating because, like Carson pegged right on the money a dozen-ish episodes ago, he *really* does not like it when he's not in control of things - people included. He can't stand it, which is why there's been such a petulant and angry undertone to a lot of Doffy's conversations with Law on the bridge and in the palace and in this episode, and why he's (esssentaily) constantly asking Law what Luffy has that he doesn't, since it's obvious that Law "chose" Luffy over him. He is SO mad at the rejection. So it's not just the fact he had *some* sort of emotional connection to Law (if not genuine love/fondness, at least a sort of pride/possessiveness in the same way that you might not "love" your favorite shirt in a literal sense, but it makes you feel good to own and show off so you take good care of it anyway), it's also the fact that Doffy had his own vision for what he wanted Law to be and Law is refusing to cooperate regardless of however many subtle chances Doffy has been giving him (which I doubt he would have given anyone else).
