Oh i never saw it from that perspective... and i cant wait to see how could he basically brainwashed all people with that potential to sacrifice their life. well the possible to obtained it is pobs the same way Luffy did too by saving them and giving them 2nd chance. That was a crazy end espc when she realized somebody harm her heart!

2023-08-15 01:57:34 +0000 UTCTo me, the thing that is so heartbreaking about Monet is the dedication and trust she has towards Doflamingo, as well as her belief that he will be the King of the Pirates is similar to the devotion that the Straw Hats have towards Luffy. It's definitely the other side of the same coin, Monet is messed up and bad, but it kind of goes to show how dangerous Doflamingo is that he's able to have members of his crew that are dedicated towards him reaching his goals, and will sacrifice their lives for it! The peaceful kind of moment Monet had (before getting thwarted by Law switching the heart) gave me the impression that she knows this decision will help Doflamingo and that she is at peace with dying for that cause.
