I like how this is a mirror of the last episode almost. You know it's main focus is the one character, but they both have a flashback like you said (I like how they are both positive flashbacks too, in terms of Emma's flashback to Dex, that was probably the last time they were on good terms that episode). And how Dex is succeeding in his relationship - overall - and seems happy, whereas Emma was not in a good relationship status in her episode, but they both finished their episodes in a good place, Emma with her writing inspiration and Dex being happy in his relationship with Sylvie. Of course I still ship Dex and Emma, don't get me wrong.
