I like this episode because its closure for stelena and the end of stelena, it stops any idea of a future in the firepit scene. Stefan says that you can either be in love w someone or friends with them, cant be both. As much as it reflects towards delena as they are talking about damon but it also reflects the bond with stelena. Elena admits that she cant be friends with damon because shes in love with him, she can be friends with stefan because shes not. I love their friendship, i feel they are more themselves as friends.

Damons insecurities and doubts is a real thing, elenas defense and affirmations is a real thing. Even stefan said they had ups and downs and fought.
