What a beautiful character Nicky is. One of my favorites, his story is so heartbreaking it's almost unbearable, the scene when he's talking to the twins just destroys me every single time. What a terrific actor and what a remarkable storyline AND show! I love This is Us to pieces, I can't rave enough about how special, well-thought and heartbreaking this show is. Thank you so much Joe for reacting to it as not many people do, because even though it was successful, there are still many people who didn't Discover it and they should, because it's breathtaking and repetedly amazing for 6 seasons!

2023-03-12 13:49:41 +0000 UTCThis was the episode that made me find your channel. After rewatching it for maybe the 100th time, I wanted to know how other people felt about it. I believe you were still on the second season when I first found your channel, so I've been eagerly awaiting this one. It's my favorite episode of the entire show, and Nicky is for sure one of my favorite characters. I find him alarmingly relatable, and like you said, his character is so tragic. But even after all those years of isolation and missed opportunities, he is finally overcoming his internal barriers, and reaping the rewards. I think a lot of people can relate to his struggles, and his character shows it's not too late. I just love Nicky :)
