This month's challenge was on capturing tension in a pose! It was all about capturing the look of fully tensed muscles, including the tendons and veins that show when this happens. It was really far outside of my comfort zone, since I usually gravitate towards soft and flowy poses. That's why it was really good to practice, even though it took a while for me to land on a rendering style that worked for me! The process was full of side quests and detours, which I talk about more in a video for flame members that will be posted in just a minute.
Flame members will also get the process videos, plus a resource video that talks you through my process and explains my creative choices in making this study. That will be going up in a few minutes, so keep an eye on your feed!
If you want to participate in next month's challenge, Iโll be posting it tomorrow! Just like last monthโs challenge, it will include:
Tips and suggestions
Reference images
Inspiration images
A list of resources to help you complete the challenge
A bonus challenge for those who want to invest more time
If you want to participate and youโre not yet a flame member, be sure to upgrade your membership before the 1st to join! For now, I hope you like these studies ๐ค
