EARLY ACCESS // ariel
Added 2022-05-20 11:01:59 +0000 UTCTo finish off the #mermay themed art for this month, I had to draw my favorite one: Ariel. I’ve drawn her so many times and wanted to tackle her with my current skillset! This one started as a sketchbook sketch, which I scanned in and added digital colors to (and changed her face and hair quite a lot in the process as you can see!).
By the way, I finished up this month’s tutorial on sketching, and I’m just waiting for the subtitles to come in! I’ll be posting it in the coming days ~ have a great weekend everyone!

I'm putting together a process video for this one so you can see how I did it. spoiler: I copy/pasted it from a different background that I made for a sketch session! which usually just starts with a solid color and then I use the lasso tool to add variation to it so that it feels more vibrant.
