Now that brushtober is over, it's time to get back to digital art and catching up on some of my old process videos. So here it is, at long last: part 1 of the process video for my river speedpaint from two months ago!
As always: It’s real-time, and the total process to make the painting was about 3.5 hours. That's why the process is split into two parts! If you want to watch it at a faster speed, just click the gear icon and choose the speed you like! As usual, I used mostly the lasso tool and gradient to set up this painting, and then used a hard round brush at the very end to do most of the paintwork. More info about how I use the lasso tool to paint here. I used a combination of different ref images for this one, with 1 main reference and two others to help me out with additional details.
