2023-06-08 05:56:54 +0000 UTCNot bad for a book written on a bet. Some reporter told Stephen King and Peter Straub that they couldn't be as good as Edgar Allen Poe. Told them that Poe had to write with a deadline and new writers couldn't handle a deadline. So, Stephen King released a small part of the Green Mile each month until it was written keeping to the deadline the reporter gave them. Peter Straub did one as well, but it wasn't The Green Mile. Stephen King and Tom Hanks at their best.
