Winter veggies!
Added 2023-12-13 13:34:51 +0000 UTCI feel so grateful for living in a place where I can grow veggies and go for a dip straight away. We are not growing many veggies right now (and pretty much all our cabbages and Brussels sprouts were devoured by snails... At least they ate them!), but still some tasty ones, today I picked some celery, cavolo nero and a few leaves of the local variety of kale, 'berza'
Very chilly day, a swim under the rain, now from home I can see some sunny spells... Cleansed and cosy feel (despite having constant cold feet!).

Our temperatures have averaged -10°C for about 3 weeks, and there’s significant snow cover. The ground is frozen solid under the snow. We have a greenhouse at our summer cottage but even that wouldn’t be of use in these temperatures.
