Currently working on the opening scenes, and I’ve decided to bring back the concept of a solar flare disrupting teleportation, adding a unique twist to the introduction.
The scene now begins with shots of the "Assassin HQ," a single, cube-shaped base floating close to a star. I’m intentionally calling it "Assassin HQ" to highlight that there’s only one assassin, which opens up some interesting possibilities for the ending. The HQ is a reflective cube, designed to blend into the darkness of space. Its closeness to the star serves as its cloak: it’s hidden from detection as the intense radiation and energy from the star mask its signals, including any teleportation ripples, making them appear as background radiation.
I’ve added news headlines at the beginning to introduce the assassin’s reputation and set the tone without relying on heavy exposition. In the intro, the assassin stands on the teleportation platform, reading his latest assignment. After a few moments, a solar flare suddenly strikes, throwing him off balance and causing him to press the teleport button by accident. Alarms blare, an error message flashes on the screen, and despite his attempts to stop the process, it’s already too late. Then the rest of the animation happens.
Going to post early version of intro in a bit.
