Update v.28 release!

Heyo everyone. As promised, today is the release for v.28 of Crisis Point! Unfortunately there's no new sexual content this update, but that doesn't mean it's a small update. I'm pretty tired right now so I'm going to keep this overall post pretty brief, but let's look at the changes, shall we?

-Intro sequence added
-Improve the first boss battle (slightly)
-Continue redesigning old levels with new, more interesting challenges and hazards
-Finish replacing the royalty free music
-Rework some of Alicia's animations with better proportions and details
-Add in Boom Shot bullet chip
-New functionality added to the Wire Shot to make it more exciting
-Fix more minor issues

One thing of particular note is the "slightly" part of the first boss. The original goal was to rework both the first AND second boss battles; that ended up being too much, so I moved it down to reworking the first boss. The problem was, I was struggling to find ways to make him more interesting to fight early on - Alicia's moveset is pretty limited when you encounter, so I was having trouble coming up with new ideas that complimented the gameplay. Near the end of v.28 development, I decided to scrap most of what I had done with his rework, because I got a much better idea - unfortunately that lead to his rework not being all that extravagant (he has two new moves that make it harder to find "safe spots" in the arena, so you have to stay mobile), but in the next update it should be much more impressive. If you guys want I can detail what my plans are for him, but otherwise I'll keep it under wraps so it can be a surprise.

That's the only major thing worth noting in these patch notes, so let's move on to our v.29 goals.

-Implement save system
-Implement basic gallery system
-Improve the 2nd boss battle
-Finish retiling and redesigning Summit area
-Implement Charge Shot secondary chip
-Prepare for new public demo release
-Fix more minor issues

Most of these speak for themselves, but the two MAJOR things that everyone has been clamoring for since the beginning of time immemorial are a real, honest-to-god save system, and a gallery system. For now, the gallery system will probably be purely menu-based, only accessible from the main menu, and have everything unlocked from the beginning - we'll see if I can get it fully functional along with the save system, but for now let's assume it'll be pretty simple.

As for the save system, fair warning right now that I will NOT be officially supporting save data transfer between versions - it's certainly possible that save data will work fine between different game versions, but there are too many variables that could potentially lead to weird problems there, so if you run into any problems with it in the future that's probably why.

Alright, that's enough out of me for now. My focus in the immediate future will be getting that gallery created for the new $5 tier, and as soon as that's done we'll get cracking on v.29 proper. Thank you, as always, for the support that all of you give me - I wouldn't be here without all of you.

-Boss 3 now has properly implemented damage shaders
-Alicia can no longer dash into a wall and then double jump to fit through tight corridors
-Minimap no longer shows up when in the middle of an H-scene
-Scientists that have started a Vial attack will no longer still throw the vile after H-scenes begin
-Alicia now has a fancy special effect when dashing
-Collisions with some slanted ceilings have been improved
-Tentacles can no longer be shot when they're fully underground
-Proper footstep sounds have been added for most different surfaces Alicia can walk on
-Alicia's midair jump sound effect now has a higher pitch than a ground jump
-Particle effects added to bone platforms
-Fixed bug where doors sometimes don't open when shot
-Fixed the Curse Orb's hitbox not moving with the orb itself
-Slimes now have particle effects when shot
-Pausing in boss rooms no longer resets boss triggers, resulting in bosses 'starting' multiple times
-Alicia now has a separate gun graphic for using the Wire Shot
-Alicia can now dash away from a ledge while ledge grabbing
-Changes were made to the system that governs whether Alicia is in normal or shooting poses. "Shooting" poses no longer end unless the player stands still for a lengthy period, or does certain actions that automatically end the shooting pose
-Fixed rare bug where Alicia gets stuck if she dashes in the same frame as she enters water
-Allowing sex scenes to finish will now heal Alicia, scaling up based on her maximum HP
-Alicia's arm is no longer flipped upside down while shooting directly up while facing left in the run-to-stand transition animation

I can understand that, and we would've had a new CG this update if it weren't for the guideline changes, but unfortunately between that and LustFire's vacation, we just didn't have time to get anything else pornographic done. I'd like to think by now I've made it pretty evident that I'm putting just as much effort into the 'game' part of Crisis Point as I am the sex part, so some heavily game-focused updates are to be expected. Still, sorry if you feel disappointed at all - hopefully we'll have some sexier stuff next update.

Save data not being transferable between versions is ok. I'd do a fresh run to see what's new anyway. I'm curious if the save data would allow movement between checkpoints that I've been to already. I'm glad the there's an audio options for the male moans :>
