Livestream is over
Added 2014-11-18 22:52:36 +0000 UTCToday's livestream has ended! Thanks to everybody who tuned in, however briefly! Now, I wanted to ask all of you a question. The max number of viewers I had at any given moment was 4, one being my artist. In the interest of including more people in the streams, I'd like your input. First off, is the scheduled time good? It's currently planned for every other Tuesday at 6pm EST. Is it inconvenient or impossible for any of you? It's a great time for me, but I can try to work something else out if it's a bad time for you guys. Second, would you be up to me opening livestreams to all Patrons, even the $1 tier? I wanted to make sure the higher tiers were worth the pledge, but I have a feeling most of you are here for the updates mostly. Still, I want to make sure it's cool with all of you. Well, it depends on my case. I'm usually asleep around that time, or eating dinner. I think it you did it more than once a week you might have a higher chance of having more people present. Also of course, if you set it for all tiers, then that might work.

I have an eclectic taste in music, although most of it consists of video game soundtracks in some form or another. Glad you enjoyed it either way, lol. As far as what I was doing, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them mid-stream! I don't think people who join the stream get to see past conversation, so explaining what I'm about to do would only partially remedy the situation. Still, I'll make sure to keep it in mind if I ever start doing something that's not so obvious. As for the video clip suggestion, it's something I've definitely thought about. I myself have no video editing experience, though, and I wouldn't want to pay someone for something that small, so it'll probably have to wait until I can get my hands on some kind of video editing software and figure out how to work it. It's definitely a good idea, though, and I'd very much like to do something like that when I get the chance! No better way to show off a game than with gameplay footage, after all. In any case, I'm really glad you enjoy the project! I'm having a great time making it and interacting with all of you, so I hope you'll stick around for a while. 2014-11-20 12:48:35 +0000 UTCHi, I was under the pseudonym of Jones, and popped in to see how the game looks and plays, since I only started pledging this month. It was entertaining (interesting choice of music too, mixing rock/metal with the odd game soundtrack, even a bit from the Aladdin soundtrack), although, as a non programmer/designer I really had no idea what you were doing most of the time. Maybe in future livestreams throwing out the odd sentence explaining what you are doing would be helpful. In terms of time, I can't really comment as I'm on the other side of the globe, so I was watching ~10am Wednesday. In terms of the second I think it would be a good idea to open up the livestream to the $1 pledgers. Even better would be to produce a short clip and put it on your patreon homepage so potential pledgers would know what the game looks and plays like before they pledge. I initially pledged at the $1 mark, to see what the game actually looked like (via the activity feed), then later boofed it up to $10, with the livestream confirming I made a good choice.
