Looking at Bernie Sanders sitting at the inauguration with his winter coat and woolen mittens I immediately imagined him as some old, grumpy earth pony sitting through some outdoor, winter, royal event in Canterlot. Somepony old, enough and important enough to not care if he's dressed like he's out running mundane errands.
