The audience also decided that she should be as she should drawn in the 4-legged form as in my Equestria dreamscape.

Well a couple of things against call it a caparison. One, caparisons generally didn't encompass the entire chest area. They just draped over the body. Second, Rarity refers to making dresses so I call this a dress. Now it would not be out of the question for ponies to have something like a caparison. In fact Half Cock's poncho-like garment almost fits the bill.
