not to be that guy, but if you want the optimal experience for best voice acting and voices that actually fit the characters, the subbed/original is the only way. Dubbed ANYTHING is going to be worse than the original. Imo to not dull your experience, watching in subbed first, then rewatching in dubbed or whatever would be better to check out the dubbed. But you should always watch anime in subbed.

2025-04-18 12:45:46 +0000 UTCEpisode 6 of Season 1 and Season 2 are both two of my favs. The biggest letdown was the VO for Tusk in the dub from this episode. I was reading that they were trying to get someone with a name attached, maybe a YouTuber or something, and it just kinda sucks. Not only is the performance and direction not great, but it's like the audio editor was trying to make him sound better with distortion and added effects. It just muddles the sound and makes for a dissatisfying performance that's barely understandable at times. I think that was the first time I wasn't a fan of the dub. If you check it out, you'll see what I mean. I actually really love the dub for Solo Leveling. It's a different feel. Barca's dub is great! He really fits the role and plays it up well. It's worth checking out!

2025-04-17 15:42:40 +0000 UTCProbably my third favorite episode of season 2. I really enjoyed the whole sequence with him using Ruler's Hand with the chain. Igris showing off was great too. Also, it is important to remember that while it looks like dungeons that Jinwoo goes in go sideways really often, what we see is kind of skewed. Excluding instanced dungeons, Jinwoo has been in 15 dungeons through season 1 and the first six episodes of season 2. Of those, only double dungeon, the Red Gate, and this latest dungeon were abnormally tough. The 9 dungeons that he did with Jinho mostly offscreen so the latter could get his license went smoothly. as did the dungeon where he was a minor. The remaining two dungeons would have went smoothly if not for the fact that fellow hunters tried to kill him.

2025-04-17 03:00:32 +0000 UTCI loved this episode! Cha blushing while holding the pick-axe is fantastic! I'm still trying to figure out how anyone is walking around in that room. With all the fire spells, that floor has to be a few hundred degrees.... just saying :)
