I am sad to not have what I believe to be not only the 3 best animes to come out last year, but probably the 3 best animes that I have ever watched. It was a bumper crop of animes that came out in 2023.

Someone used the Batman trying to hold onto the spirits of his parents shouting "Don't leave me!" template, but it's Frieren and Maomao, and I'm very upset at that meme. Very. Love your reactions as always! Dunno what you're in the mood for next, but if you want something light and adorable try "Tis Time for Torture!". It's one of my new favorites and the running gag is everything is far more wholesome than you think it probably is.

2024-03-23 05:59:15 +0000 UTCThe last scene truly shows that Frieren had the same director as another great show: Bocchi the Rock. Super similar, I loved both shows and we'll have sooner or later the second season of Frieren... but I hope we get the second season of Bocchi soon as well!

2024-03-23 05:15:23 +0000 UTCAnd of course I forgot and I feel bad - when I saw you, I thought that you look a bit like Fern. It might be very delicate cosplay, but it did fit very well. Especially given Fern's simple, but elegant looks (except hair piece, which is ornate and which you don't have - sadly, but I don't think real deal would have been cheap). I hope this comment wasn't inappropriate, but I do think that despite it being cosplay more in spirit rather than full accuracy it looked really well. And it did convey the character. Please don't pout ;)

2024-03-23 04:40:01 +0000 UTCNow you can read Manga ;) Yes, there will be Season 2 - but don't listen to people who say it's confirmed (people take that ending card as confirmation). We don't have announcement yet. And unless they pull on all strings (and risk making subpar Anime), I don't expect it to be sooner than Fall of 2025 (so Winter 2026 Season probably). Currently we have enough material for Season 2, but barely anything more. Which would mean that if they rush Season 2, they might have to wait a VERY long time to release Season 3. Plus going in blind (not knowing what would happen in Season 3), might affect quality of production of Season 2 - since they wouldn't know to what new (if there are any) character give more prominent Voice Actors and perhaps screen-time. Even though Season 1 was almost verbatim adaptation of first 60 chapters (and there are currently 127 - see what I mean about having "barely" enough for second Season?). There should be "some" announcement in April. But we don't know if it will be about Frieren. I would expect news about Season 2 either tomorrow, or in April, or even perhaps after summer season ends. Which makes me sad. I want to see more Frieren, but one thing I can be thankful is that they are giving Mangaka time they need. They don't rush them, unlike so many others. Which is also why source material comes of slower than it would otherwise. But it helps with quality. Also if they wanted to adapt same amount of volumes rather than chapters, they would have to finish Season 2 on such cliffhanger that fans would be mad. Perhaps it is for the better than that they take their time. Take care Alana! I hope that apart from giving you knowledge about state of source material I didn't spoil anything. Also Bunny Girl Senpai movies have their official English premiere tomorrow (well, one of them already had, but they decided to re-release them to theaters now together). Maybe there will b streaming, but if not, there will be BluRay in couple of months.

2024-03-23 04:22:49 +0000 UTCbit of a sleeper for spring but im really excited for "jellyfish cant swim in the night". its an original being done by doga kobo (oshi no ko) to celebrate their 50th anniversary and features rie takahashi (emilia, megumin, ai, etc) as one of the main girls. its about four girls who from various creative disciplines (idol, illustrator, vtuber, composer) who dont fit in anywhere come together to create an anonymous artist group. being a bit under the radar may not be the best for youtube, but id suggest checking it out just to watch on your own to see if you like it! im excited and originals are fun because nobody has read the manga, every week is a surprise for everyone!
