This episode is so special to me. Seeing Thorfinn learn about life beyond the battlefield and make his first friend. Einar is EXACTLY who Thorfinn needed to meet at this point in his life. He is the human embodiment of a Golden Retriever. The journey of this season is so impactful.

He went to war when he was 6 and don’t know anything besides war, and Einar being there to help him get more motivated and especially building/planting new seeds inesyesd of destroying things, is the first step for him to a new life. Einar is the best thing that could’ve happened to Thorfinn.

There was people at this point who were criticizing this season for being too slow, or not having enough action, but story building takes time and patience, and a great story doesn't need to have action all the time.

Our boy has to catch up on life, even as a slave. Einar, Arnheid, Snake and Sverkel are such great additions to the story to surround Thorfinn with. Einar especially is so fun and energetic to balance Throfinn!
