The way this show overtly shows David inadvertently creating the same circumstances for some other kid that put him in the position he's in when he kills that woman because he's been pushed too far by that exact adversity in his own life gets me every time.

2023-06-01 15:29:53 +0000 UTCPeople who have lost great influences in their life have a bad habit of believing they need to destroy themselves trying to live out the life their loved ones no longer can. It’s not an easy circle to get out of. This person spent so much time making you the person that you are. It only makes immediate sense that you spend the rest of your life trying to make it up to them. Prove to them that their efforts at making you better were worth it. You don’t want to see yourself become “weak” for even a second because you think they’re still watching you. Toning it down feels like dis racing the sacrifice they made for you. It’s not healthy at all. But that doesn’t mean it comes from nowhere.
