2023-05-18 09:22:51 +0000 UTCOn the topic of how the confession episode was "so them", it's worth noting that Hachiman's "grand romantic gesture" to prepare the stage for the confession was to set Yukino with all the extra work of planning another prom... Miyuki gave Kaguya the most romantic view with all the heart balloons in the school. Hachiman gave Yukino a pile of work. Which is pretty much crazy, but Hachiman understands that Yukino has unresolved feelings over the first prom, and that this is the best thing he can do to help her sort out those feelings. So to me Yukino saying "I love you" just when they're wrapping up the 2nd prom always feels like she's expressing her affection over him realizing she needed that 2nd prom, and him giving her the chance to do it.
