so the last conversation wasn't exactly easy to understand. So i'm just gonna share my thoughts. Yui says she is not a nice girl and the reason she says this is because she "wants it all/going to take all". What that means is, that she wants a relatioship with hachiman and still be friends with yuki at the same time -> and that would be a likely outcome if she would have decided to confess right there. However, Yui feels bad for liking hachiman because she also knows that yuki likes hachiman. That is why she tried to force Yuki to a descision. She knew yuki would probably go along with it and she still expectes yuki to be friends with her and hachiman - which would be very hard on yuki obviously and why's she is not a nice girl. Now, Hachiman realized that and puts an end to it before a descision is made because, well yuki would always need to hide her true feelings (of hate, jealousy etc. that probably would arise if hachi and yui got together) and that would not be a genuine relationship.

2023-04-20 22:32:02 +0000 UTCI just love Hachiman’s growth throughout the series. Season 1 Hachiman wouldn’t be as excited to be at the aquarium. He’s gotten so comfortable with Yui and Yukino that he’s able to show new sides of him. Or a part of him that was already there but was afraid to show.
